Hush, hush…

Be a good girl, don’t make waves.

Hush, hush…

Be seen, not heard.

Hush, hush…

Be pretty and social, not overconfident.

• • •

These are the rules of the elite where being female means being a showpiece. The old guard doesn’t care what’s in our brains, and the Knights are the worst offenders.

The longest running secret society won’t change easily, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying. They uphold the standards we live by. They make men… Or break them.

I may have gotten an “in” because of my father, but I’ll become a full-fledged Knight because I’m strong and smart…and I freaking deserve it.

No one will stop me, especially not Keegan Forbes. The bane of my existence. My biggest tormentor. And my fiancé…

Hush, Hush is a prequel to E. M. Moore's newest RH series, Pretty Little Dead Girl, where an elite secret society will do anything to keep its secrets and lies.

I wish I could give zero stars but we can't so I'll have to settle for one.
I had high hopes for this one, it was hyped up and I thought it was gonna be good... the worst book I've ever read!!!!
Spoiler ahead
The center of the book was her virginity that she gives away to the dude that outed her to everyone in a cafeteria, that was being an absolute trash bag the whole book until he suddenly decided he wanted to be a decent human being !!!! WHAT ????
and true the book ends with a cliffhanger but whatever we think she may be dead or something like that, but I will not waste my time on reading the second book.
definitely won't recommend this to anyone.
Also, can we talk about her not having a character and thinking all she has to offer is her "virgin c*nt" as she likes to refer to it soo many times throughout the book, she had no thoughts, no brain, all she cares about is making Keegan like her and change?
there is no story to this book, and I regret even reading it, thank god it was for free, or else I would've been pissed.
Also, please don't comment on how you loved the book, I don't care this is my opinion.

Hush, Hush is the novella to the Pretty Little Dead Girl series. If you've read the first book, then you would know that this will be about the sister. Now while I really enjoyed the other books, I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of this one. Between Eden and Delilah, I'd have to be on Eden's side every day for the rest of my life.

Okay, so, we all know what happens to Delilah from Eden's books. After seeing Eden be such a badass through these trials, I was pretty excited to see what Delilah went through. Then after getting to know the girl, I was just so disappointed. She was the complete opposite of Eden and constantly made horrible decisions.

Honestly, not sure what she saw in that douche canoe. Seriously, I don't. I totally agree with how Eden views the guy. Just saying. Maybe my opinion on her would be different if I started with this book first, but sadly I didn't do that.

Other than that, I was already expecting the cliffhanger that we were going to get. Mostly because I already read book one and two of this series. So, I totally did it to myself and I'm just going to sit here and twiddle my thumbs until the third book is released.

This book is the prequel of Pretty Little Dead Girls Series. I have read some of E. M. Moore's series. And the #cakeeaters decided to do a br with this series. The Prequel has some turns I didn't expect. My main Problem was that the FMC sometimes feels like a doormat. I didn't bond with the characters, not the FMC and not the MMC. Hush Hush wasn't my cup of tea.

But Pretty Little Dead Girls #1 - #3 is about the FMC's sister, so I'll try to read this series.

Now that was a sad ending. I thought we were getting the prologue from the female lead and was seriously getting pissed because of the male lead's asshole personality. Sad indeed.

This was great but man that cliffhanger!!

So Keegan is a douche. I hated him for most part. Then he started to redeem himself then I'm wondering..did he really? Was it him she really saw at the end? Did he see what happened? So many what ifs. Does he realy love her . I felt like he does but lord knows.

Then Delilah ..I'm all for her being strong snd proving herself. Loved that. But she was dumber than a box of rocks with her thinking she can hold her v card to change a man smh.

We don't know when the first book will come out because I can't find it anywhere so I'm assuming it isn't finished yet. Can't wait to read it.

What a riveting read! I couldn’t stand the male MC but I was hooked on the story and hearing more about this secret society. I still can’t get the ending out of my head! I have sooo many questions! I’m so freaking excited to read the series following this!

This is a prologue and in Eden sisters POV. I was thoroughly confused for most of this book. Was this dude a villain or not? I was expecting him to kill her for a while there, since I knew she wasn’t the h of the main trilogy. I personally hope that she isn’t really dead and that the H saved her and they’re in hiding or he has hidden her. I’m assuming she’ll poof and come back to life just when Eden needs her to. Either way the little romance we did get was not satisfying. The dude is a cheater and while I’m fine with that I need a much better redemption arc and reasonings for the cheating.

For those who are going to read the trilogy I would just skip this prologue. As far as I can tell it isn’t going to be necessary for the main trilogy. It wasn’t well written either. There are just tons of long streams of consciousness that are repetitive and redundant and also really pointless considering she’s possibly dead anyways?

Well holy craze balls, that just had me hanging on the edge of my seat. Delilah and Keegan are complicated characters, and Keegan was not likeable upon first introduction. These two are at each other's throats, but I think Dee is way out matched for the brutal Keegan. Things start spiraling quickly out of control, my brain was bouncing from all the possibilities, then scrambling when I think I've figured something out only to realize that I haven't got a clue. When Keegan starts acting different I want to have faith in him, I want to trust him, but I just can't let go of the distrust created from the beginning. Talk about a web of lies and corruption, this story is jammed packed with it all. The cliffhanger ending, which I know leads us to the first book for this series, is an evil, evil way to leave me hanging, Erin! I'm so mixed up right now, I don't know what the heck to think. One thing I do know for sure is that I want book one, like now, but tomorrow would be great too. If only. A girl can wish though.

Fabulous start to an intriguing dark series. Lots of angst, jerky boys, too trusting girls, mystery, creepy old boys club and straight up danger. I’m still sitting her blinking...wondering what the hell just happened. And I trust no one. Delilah drove me a tiny bit crazy with how hung up she was on Keegan. I’m like girl...kick him to the curb. I can tell this series is going to be addictive drama. Every single event leaving me needing more. I love it!

I'm not a huge fan of reading books and getting invested in main characters that are going to die at the end of the book. Especially when it is a prequel to a series.

It’s like going trick or treating and receiving alpha covered abs and the delicious shiver inducing growls.

This book was the by far one of the most sexiest I have given my eyeballs the pleasure of enjoying.

This book has me in a drooling awful mess of abs and testosterone with some alpha complex….you know what? It don’t even matter. I found my new harem member.

This prequel has captured me! I've been sucked in and I never want to leave.

I have so many questions and I'm suspicion of everyone including Tim. Especially Keegan, no way does anyone have a change of heart like that. Everyone has an ulterior motive and I cant wait for us to uncover everyone's secrets.

Amazing prequel

I had to take a few days to write this review because I was quite distraught over the ending of this book. I absolutely loved it, don’t get me wrong. However, I think I might still be mentally recovering. But I did love it.

EM Moore has set up an entrancing series. A secret society, drama within the society and outside of it, many different characters (with very unknown intentions) and that ending/maybe a cliffhanger. It’s not often that I need to recover from a book and I am very surprised that I was affected by a prequel since I was just starting to get to know the characters.

I don’t know if I’m ready for the first book of the series but I’m going to try.

Wow. This book had me all wound up. I despised Keegan from the very beginning. Delilah's tolerance to his mistreatment of her created plenty of anxiety for me. I wasn't sure what direction the story was going for most of the book, and I was anxious for Delilah the entire time. I almost held my breath turning the pages because it felt like her world was going to come crashing down at any moment. It was an exquisite kind of discomfort. I wanted Keegan to redeem himself, then didn't trust him when he tried. lol And the end. Again, I say, wow. Just wow. This prequel is definitely enough to whet your appetite for the first book.

Hook. Line. & Sinker. This prequel has a my full attention bestie.

Delilah is amazing. I love her independence and how she stands her ground at not bending to a man’s perception of what being a woman should mean.

I have a lot of questions around Keegan so I’m excited for book 1 to see more of him.

This is a reverse harem series so I’m super curious to know who else will be bowing to Delilah by the end of the series 👀

So Delilah actually doesn't matter🙄

You're telling me I just wasted my evening rooting for Delilah to grow some spine and self worth ONLY FOR THE EDGIER EDEN TO BECOME THE REAL PROTAGONIST?

I'm not going to lie I'm finding it hard to process that ending! What was that? I can't believe it ended that way! Even though I could see it coming, I managed to guess it early on, like the main FMC I was in denial and naive. After what happens and the way Keegan reacts to Delilah being in the Knights I have to wonder how much he knows.

Delilah is different than you expect to the typical rich girl and that's the kind of character I love. She values hard work and strives to meet the expectations of her family, to prove she deserves them. Unlike some of the characters she doesn't have that sense of rich entitlement but a desire to earn everything she owns. I connected with her so well that every time Keegan pushed her buttons, he pushed mine. I was so enraged by his behaviour that I thought she was naive. And she is. Incredibly so. She's completely blind to his faults because she's so in love with him. She's confident in her abilities but at times she's almost too confident. Delilah has many admirable qualities as she tries to change the minds of the men she's

Keegan, is one of the most infuriating main male character I have ever read. His behaviour and attitude towards Delilah is disgusting and if it had been me, I would have punched him in the face many times and more. Although we are given some insight eventually into his mind for me it still doesn't excuse him.

And who doesn't love a good secret society? They are not what I expected and yet completely what I expected at the same time. There's such mystery surrounding them which draws you in, intrigues you, and I feel like the males we meet are the first warning we always ignore.

All in all, Hush Hush is a similar experience one would have when watching a horror movie. It gets your blood pumping, giving you small clues so you know on some level whats about to happen and your screaming at the FMC, who doesn't listen to you. Eventually, finding out your instincts were correct and yet there's nothing you can do to get off the train even as it barrels on to your destruction. Highly recommendable for those that love dark mystery, secret society romances.

has the potential to be a favourite series of 2022

Before I start my review im going to say this. I accidentally started this at ten to midnight with the plan to ‘only read a few chapters’, which as we all know, are the famous last words. Im sat here at four am writing this in the hope that you pick up this book, but also read it at a reasonable time.
Hush Hush is the reminder for me of why I adore this author. She got me hooked on The Heights, took me on a treasure hunt with St Clary’s and then I went back to her Ballers and added them to my book boyfriend list too. If book one of the series is setting the standard, I think that Pretty Little Dead Girl May just be one of my most anticipated series of the year.
I picked this book up without reading about it because of the previous books, I knew that I’d fall in love. And Delilah is pretty much what I wanted in my leading lady. She has a stubborn streak and is making her way in a ‘man’s world’. Although shes ‘innocent’ she isn’t a push over. I love her for her bite backs.
I wanted to slap Keegan for a solid 80% of the book, and I’m only half sure that I don’t entirely hate him now. Devon is my favourite Forbes. I’m adding him to my own harem.
Eden is the sister but also gives me best friend vibes, I want to get to know her more. Maybe convince someone for a spin off RH featuring the sassy sister? But I’ll be more than happy just to get more of her attitude in the future.
The Knights, where do I start? I love a secret society, I want to know everything about the Devils Night plans. And Tim! Who the hell is he? Because he cannot be an innocent barista?

I would really recommend reading this prequel before heading into book one - "Pretty Secrets ".

It covers the whole reason as to why Eden goes to Carnegie University in the first place.

Delilah is the first born daughter in the Astor family. Apple of her dad's eye, studying at Carnegie University to take over from her dad, and just accepted as the first female into the Knights secret society.

She's set to marry Keegan Forbes at some point. She's loved him ever since he saved her from drowning as a toddler. They've been off and on as teenagers- mostly off as she refuses to sleep with him. This annoys keegan to the extent he's sleeping with any girl and generally treating her terribly.

After inadvertently announcing She's a virgin with the university's gossip sat with them, keegan knows he's crossed a line.

The news spreads and bets go mad about who will take Dee's v card now they know keegan hasn't taken it. Dee is getting the wrong kind of attention and runs to keegan for help.

He changes and becomes the man she knew he could be.

But something goes very wrong when they're getting ready for the Knights Devils Night party....

Dee is escorted to the dungeons where she's surrounded by Knights hidden by cloaks and Masks.....all trying to outbid each other to take her v card....

Cars, mansions, businesses....all are thrown in the air.....they make her undress, leaving her exposed and vulnerable.....

Things go bad from worse and she needs to escape........

But who is it that says "it wasn't a good idea"....??

A good size prequel novella - a story in its own right but it does help with the background!

It is NOT a HEA but damnnnnn

This book it a full length book that is the prequel to the new series being released, Pretty Little Dead Girl. To me, it’s essential to be read before the start of the Pretty Little Dead Girl series due to the nature of the main plot. Please note, this book does NOT have a HEA, more like an intense cliffhanger to start the series. However it’s still a great read!!

Delilah and Keegan are arranged to be married, to strengthen the already wealthy. They have know each other since they were little kids but have grown apart. She still loves him, despite how shitty he treats her. He just wants one thing from her and he went to extremes to get it. Little did he know, news of her being a virgin were change their lives forever.

Now it’s a game, both within their elite school and the Knights Secret Society. Delilah is a strong independent female. Keegan wants to be the sole breadwinner, then butting heads is the least of their worries. Thankfully once they talk things through, it seems they are on the same page…… right?

That ending she left us with, it have no idea what to think and who was a part of this insane twist. I mean insane!

⚠️ dark twisted themes ahead read with caution ⚠️

Hush hush is the prequel to the pretty little dead girl series and in this book you find out what happened before.
Delilah is a strong female character wanting to follow in her fathers footsteps so she joins the elite knights. She is the first ever girl to join it so she gas her work cut out for her.
Her arranged marriage to keegan and the fact she has been in love with him for so long makes her more determined but keegan didn't want her there to start with.
Her and keegan relationship has always been up and down on again off again but he makes sure everyone knows she is his!!
When he trys to humiliate her by telling everyone she is a virgin the games begin and everykone at school try to get her to sleep with them!
What they don't know is the elite knights are also trying to get to her too.
This books ends on a epic cliffhanger as the elite get hold of her and she tries to fight them off but falls into the water!!! We obviously know this isn't the end for her but I really need to know what happens after. Will keegan find and rescue her or was he actually stood there watching like she imagined before going under the water???

I am so excited to finally start the Pretty Little Dead Girl series by E.M. Moore. So here I am thinking Hush Hush will be a nice, easy prequel. Man.Was.I.Wrong. I legit think I suffered from heart palpitations at the end of this book.

At the start, we're introduced to Delilah(Dee) Astor who comes from a rich powerful family. She attends an elite university that will prepare her to continue her family legacy. Part of this legacy is becoming a member of an only male dominated secret society. Her goal is to become a permanent and respected female member.

Dee deals with a lot of conflicts in this story. Especially from Keegan Forbes, her future husband. I highly disliked his treatment and actions towards Dee. Although, by the end, I found myself rooting for their relationship.

This book is a dark romance filled with so many secrets, suspicion, mystery, betrayal, stalkers, and a cutthroat culture.Throughout the story I had such a foreboding feeling with constant thoughts of "This isn't right, something is wrong". It was definitely a lead up to that brutal cliffhanger. I am so interested to see where this story takes us in book one of the series, Pretty Secrets.

Man at first I did not want to read this because I was super excited to start the book 1 in this series and I could not care less about the book 0. But when I read the reviews it felt like a lot more understanding could be gained if i read this book so I dived in. Dee was not my favourite but she grew on me. I found what she had with Keegan was toxic but then I thought of about all these bully romances I read and this did not feel much worse. And eventually we see a different side to Keegan everything Dee had been hinting to since the book started. I liked what I saw but because I read the blurb for book 1 I already knew the ending. It made me feel super sad because finally I got attached to Keegan and Dee, I am so glad Keegan did not get a pov in this book because if we got into his head to actually know his feelings towards Dee then I feel I would have lowkey cried. The situation that led to the ending made me feel super sick but it makes us know that this secret society is not child's play. It is scary, it is dangerous. Will miss Dee and Keegan what they could have been!

I really enjoyed this one! It is a prequel for the series. What a major twist though at the end that totally changes what I thought was coming for the rest of the series but I can't wait to see what is coming and how this is all going to connect. I really enjoyed getting to know Delilah and Keegan and the secret society of the Knights. Keegan I highly disliked for majority of this prequel but I did enjoy Delilah, though at times, I was wanting her to get over Keegan. Then we finally started to see what she did and I actually started to like Keegan and was excited to see how these two were going to make it work in the series but there is a huge twist at the end that I did not see coming. I read this in the Brutal Boys anthology and really enjoyed this one. I will be picking up the series and seeing what happens and will probably read other books by this author. She really pulled me in and got me engaged with the characters! Very well done! But the ending and the twist kind of killed me.

Hush Hush...

The main characters started off quite indulgent, arrogant and even a little airheaded which took me for a suprise as I didn't connect with the main characters at all. I can only say kudos to Erin's writing as I loathed Keegan lol.

Delilah is all over the place in her standards of herself, her body and how she is in a relationship. I could really connect how women feel they need to be in the real world with what Delilah was going through. It was a pearl of reality that made you think about real issues women are living through by the words in this fictional book. I loved the meaning even if unintended that can be read from this.

Back to the story... I gotta be honest Keegan is giving me creepy red flag vibes with how he treats women. Hopefully he has some redeeming qualities as I'm not sure I believe his "trying".

Moore did a fabulous job on her writing and the style of writing.

I am intrigued to see where this series will go!

E.M Moore has created such an interesting plot with the scope to bring so much darkness, excitement and twists that it slowly sinks its claws into you refusing.to let go.

Delilah is the eldest child and has always tried to be everything that is expected of her, to fulfill family obligations they way they should be, as its her birth right. She is an interesting character who is about to embark on a voyage of self-discovery even if she doesn't realise it.

She follows in her father's footsteps and joins the Knights Club, a powerful secret society. She has to follow their rules and play their games but there is more than meets the eye with this secretive boys club.

Unfortunately for Delilah she doesn't know all the rules or what's going to happen when the one person who's meant to love her gives away her secrets and declares her fair game.

Will she survive what is to pass on devil's night??
