Grayson has been in love with Dani for as long as he can remember.
The problem.
She's about to marry a different man.
His duty as man of honor is to support her even if it kills him.
But when her jerk boyfriend leaves her at the altar, Grayson steps up and offers to marry her instead so her wedding that she ever dreamed about wouldn't be ruined....
Dani has been planning her wedding since she was five years old. Nerves and a little too much champagne before she walked down the aisle must make her crazy. When Jeremy leaves her standing there looking like a fool, she lets Grayson marry her, even though it could ruin their friendship.
But he had whispered to her that they don't even have to sign the marriage certificate.
After the wedding, Grayson takes her what was supposed to be her honeymoon and soon she's having feelings she shouldn't.
Is the last second wedding a recipe for forever, or disaster?
It’s my first one star review and I’m sad to leave it but this fell so flat for me, I couldn’t believe it. I’ve rented at other books quite a lot but i still gave them 5 stars since I got some enjoyment out of them even if it was just the frustration with the characters. I came to this after a tiktok video that had so much promise but that’s adverts for you. Both of the MCs were just so strange and the interactions felt so forced not to mention this novella needs a lot of editing, the pov changes in the middle of the paragraph and I have no clue who we’re looking at. If it was on KU I would’ve likely given it 5stars for effort but really it was too expensive for what it is and as much as understand and appreciate authors have to make money somehow, when you price a novella similar to international best sellers I expected it to be brilliant, instead I got a gaslit FC who just refused to get help, and a clued in clueless MC who reacted so badly he should’ve been thrown overboard. I think I wanted more of everything, more romance, more understanding more adult behaviour and I don’t mean adult scenes I mean adult reactions from 30yolds. There’s very little background and most of the time it’s just spend frolicking on a boat and living with so many insecurities it’s a disaster waiting to happen; but even when the disaster does happen, it’s just brushed over in under 3 pages and we get an epilogue that’s not even for the characters in it.
I got the entire collection I hope the next ones are better. I enjoyed pyramids and promises somewhat but still not sure it was worth it, so unfortunately the series will be going on my DNF list and as much as I don’t regret spending on books, I probably will not come back to this.
I really desperately wanted to love this book and give it a rave review. the beginning showed so much promise! as the plot thickened and the characters developed I felt that it fell flat. there were grammatical errors and typos, and the overall language of the writing was juvenile. I feel like there were parts of the book that were very repetitive to the point where I found myself scrolling back to check and make sure I didn't accidentally skip backwards a few chapters.
overall it was a very quick read but I can't say it was much more than that. the characters were 2D there was minimal development and their internal diagolgues and conflicts felt very middle/highschool rather than post college graduate and then some. I feel like with a really good editor and a bit of a longer book with less repetition of what's already there, been would be much closer to a higher rating.
Hard to read. Language and writing style is very basic and I was close to a DNR simply for the sheer amount of times the h said she wasn’t worthy. Seriously. I got it that the h was insecure and lacked confidence from the beginning. Every second sentence didn’t need to include another description of how she didn’t think she was worthy of the H. As a book you don’t need to think about and don’t expect any substance from its fine. I think I would prefer to read a Mills and Boon. It would be better written.
This book is the definition of shallow. No character depth or development. Awkwardly inserted pieces of backstory that are supposed to make you believe the characters have feelings for, or a rich history with, each other. But, everything falls flat and there is nothing that gets the reader to connect with the characters.
Thank you so much to the author for the book! I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Grayson has been in love with his best friend for years. He believes that all is lost because Dani is about to marry another man. But when her fiance leaves her at the altar, Grayson knows this is his chance to tell her how he feels. When they embark on a cruise full of laughter and adventure, but also a few conflicts, they are about to find out what their true feelings are.
I loved this book, it was such a sweet and beautiful story. I loved the trust that exists between the protagonists, the way they know each other with just one look, the special bond they both share… It was so beautiful! I love friends-to-lovers and fake-relationships stories. This book has both, which made me enjoy it even more.
I really liked the characters, especially Grayson who is so adorable. The patience he had for so many years, keeping his true feelings to himself and doing whatever it takes to help her friend, to always be there for her, not wanting to risk their friendship for fear of losing her… I just loved him. On the other hand, I didn’t like some of Dani's attitudes, but I also loved the depth of this character. She has a history of suffering verbal abuse that has negatively affected her self-esteem, so I felt really bad for her. From a psychological point of view, I think the author did an excellent job to let us understand her reactions and her way of thinking. This gave the story even more depth.
As for the romance, it was beautiful. I enjoyed every one of the interactions between Grayson and Dani, some very funny and some really dramatic. There were very cute scenes in this book and also a lot of drama. I deeply hated Jeremy, Dani's ex-fiancé. I felt that I hated him more and more with each page that narrated his attitudes.
The plot of this book is really entertaining and a fast read. I devoured it in just one day! I loved the theme of this story, which took us to explore a luxury cruise with so many possibilities for fun, like a city on the water. I found every detail delightful and it completely hooked me from beginning to end. It even made me think about the social differences and all the advantages of the millionaires world.
It's a short and addictive story, full of very sweet and special scenes. I loved it!

¡Me encantó!

The beginning of the book felt confusing to me, it began a little bit off with Grayson who at the beginning sounded like he was going to his own wedding when in fact he was going to his friend’s wedding Dani – who apparently he’s had a crush on her for plenty of time.
The book definitely touches on the friends to lovers trope which was really sweet and romantic. I enjoyed it because it was nicely done and didn’t feel rushed, especially since Dani and Grayson knew each other for a long while. There’s also the forced proximity and one bed/one room trope which was just perfect and added to the tension building in the book and also the sexual tension that was needed.
There was also another trope that I think it was the first time I’ve experienced and I’m not that sure I’ve enjoyed it. Dani has no confidence in herself, she thinks she’s the ugly duckling and Grayson is the best looking guy ever and there is no way for him to look at her – ignoring all the signs he’s giving her. The lack of confidence in herself kind of felt too repetitive, whenever she was in his company this was the main thing she was thinking on. At the same time, I did understand where Dani came from because everyone around her was putting her down and commenting about her appearance and stuff even from childhood which definitely can shatter someone’s confidence. I did enjoy that eventually her character did grow and put herself first and also had more confidence in herself and choosing the right things for her own good.
Their overall relationship in the book was good, the romance is clean but there’s still that type of tension going on – I did wish for their relationship to be a little bit longer and perhaps with some more tension but considering the book is a short one I think the time spent on building their relationship was just the right amount.
What I didn’t enjoy about Dani was that once she got together with Grayson she kind of gave me the feeling she “trapped him” and now she doesn’t need to work or have any dreams, like one moment she was thinking about her future and the next she forgot everything about it and all she was thinking on was basically nothing, felt a little bit contradictory. Their issue in the book also felt a little bit too forced, it didn’t give me those hurtful feelings that I would’ve expected from said event.
Overall the story is short and catchy and it’s a nice fast-paced read.
This story is about Grayson and Dani. Grayson has been in love with his best friend Dani forever. She has no idea. She thinks he’s out of her league and just happy to be his friend. Dani has dreamt of her wedding since she was a little girl. Now that she’s getting married, she can’t quite afford all the things she’s dreamt of. Without her knowing, Grayson goes behind her and orders what she really wants to surprise her. He’s always there for her. So it’s no wonder that he’s her man of honor at her wedding. When Jeremy (fiancé jerk) leaves her at the alter, Grayson is happy to step in. He always makes things better! Dani goes along as not to be humiliated. They even go on the honeymoon cruise she’s paid for. At first, I thought this was perfect, he’s perfect, and she’ll get her fairytale romance. But Grayson rubbed me wrong a few times while on the cruise. The first time she leaves his side, when she comes back, he’s surrounded by big boob ladies vying for his attention. In which he tells her he’s found her some friends to have a spa day with. Then again later in the story when Jeremy (who went on the cruise as well) has cornered her and kisses her, Grayson goes off on her infront of everyone without letting her explain what happened. In the end he talks her into believing she’s all he wants. She had a huge self esteem issue which got a little old, but she’s constantly put down and belittled by Jeremy. In the epilogue I was hoping for more of them together besides they bought a big house on the lake. It was more about the other characters of the group. I rec this arc for an honest review.
Voyages and Vows by Kimmy Loth is a standalone romance novel, but is a part of her Michigan Millionaires series. Imagine that it’s finally here. Your big day. Your wedding day. You’re supposed to be marrying the man you love but it all falls apart. Your groom to be leaves you at the alter without a word. Your heartbroken, but your best friend steps in to save the day. What would you do? Well, that is the situation that befalls Dani. She has an opportunity to finally have true love, but can she actually embrace it? Voyages and Vows is like a chaotic boat ride. You have smooth moments, and then you have the rough and rocky moments of where panic sets in and you wonder – are we going to make it? Are they going to make it? Dani has been through a lot in her life. She is very self deprecating, and on one hand I can understand it, but then on the other hand it begins to get a bit annoying. She’s hot and cold, and is all over the place with her behavior. Grayson seems like a really great guy, and all he wants is a chance to prove himself to her. As you read this book you’ll really feel like you could meet these characters in real life. Jeremy fits the definition of jerk though and I’m sure that you’ll agree with me when you read this romance. This book is short and has a good pace and balance. As to be expected with this author and this series there will be an HEA. I’d have liked a little more concerning the ending, but it’s still a sweet ending. I’m choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I love a feel good story, and this book definitely fits the bill.
Although a little fearful of his impetuosity, Grayson The Sacrificed, was seeing an opportunity to get what he had wanted for a long time: Dani. He was going to finish sighing from afar, but he still had ground to cover to win the girl's love. Dani's self-esteem was through the floor, and it was no wonder with the way she had been treated by her father and Jeremy's comments. She had long held on to an illusion, but this Jeremy was not relationship material at all. Blind was the girl! I think she had tolerated too much, and Grayson's protective gesture had made her think, again, what if... The story had me angry with Dani's indecision when everything was clear in front of her. After rubbing elbows with Grayson's group, you'd think she knew she had her back but no, another Sacrificed. More anger this gave me! This story caught me. Grayson and Dani's game of cat and mouse was entertaining, but poor Grayson was already reaching his limits. Good that the reason won. Many feelings afloat, doubts, low self-esteem, anger, camaraderie, some funny scenes, romance, and passion.
I have read and enjoyed all of the books in Kimberly Loth's "Michigan Millionaire" series. This book is no exception.
Grayson has been in love with his best friend, Dani, for years. But, she is about to have her dream wedding.....to another man! Grayson, good friend that he is, is acting as man of honor. But, when Dani is left at the altar by her fiance', Grayson begins to think that he might still have a chance with her.
The book is a quick read, full of romance, misunderstandings, and a happily ever ending. I missed the Doberman aspect of the other books, but it's hard to take your dog on a cruise! I would have liked to have a little more meat to the ending, but maybe the author has more in store for this couple in a future book.
I was given the chance to read an advanced copy of this book, but that in no way affects my opinion.
This is Grayson's story. He has been in love with his best friend Dani for years but has never had the courage to tell her. This is in part to her being in a relationship and him not wanting to ruin their friendship. Things change on what should be her happiest day, her wedding day, when her groom Jeremy leaves her at the alter. Grayson steps in and proposes to Dani to keep her from thinking about what happened. While on their "honeymoon" they realize that Jeremy is there as well. Dani has a lot of reasons for thinking she can never be good enough for Grayson so he does what he can to show her that she is. Things get a little tense when Grayson thinks he sees something but I love that things work out in the end.
Grayson has been in love with Dani for as long as he's known her. Her low self-esteem kept her in a toxic relationship with Grayson firmly in the best friend zone. I always wonder how someone can be like Grayson...standing aside and loving enough to want his beloved to be happy, and if that means her being with someone else, he'll support her every step of the way. That's insane to me. I'm so glad Grayson and Dani finally figure things out together! I look forward to finally reading Connor and Jessica's story! Oh! Grayson's dog is missing!!!
BTW: aren't we getting books for Seth and David??
1. Connor and Jessica 2. Grayson and Dani 3. Hayden and Anna 4. Lukas and Tess 5. Seth 6. David 7. Blake and Paige 8. Bethany and Jamie (and Garrett) 9. Adam and Snow (Liz) 10. Mia and Tristan
I enjoyed reading this book. The romance was a bit of a whirlwind. And the plot was fun. As always, I enjoyed seeing the crossover from the other books in the series. Given the location of most of the story, this one had a lot less puppy time than the rest of the series. The end was good, but I was surprised to find myself already there when I turned the page and saw that the epilogue was the next thing to read. I think I’d have enjoyed it a little more if there was a bit more time spent on the resolution after the climax, but I still enjoyed it.
I received a free copy from the author and this is my voluntary review.
Left at the alter by her fiance, Jessie is talked into marrying her best friend, Grayson. They didn't sign the marriage certificate on the day but Grayson took it with him. He had 1 week to convince her they were meant to be while on her honeymoon cruise. They already had chemistry and knew each other well. It was the chance from friends to spouse that was different. Jeremy, her ex decided he'd go on the honeymoon too and they work to show off their 'relationship' which blurs lines. It all makes sense, she has a choice to make...And she does! These stories are brilliant!

Grayson knows Dani is the love of his life. He only wants her happiness. The book starts with him being her man of honor. Things spiral out from there. Dani is supposed to marry her long-term boyfriend Jeremy, but he's not he's cracked up to be. Grayson and Dani are perfect for each other and while they have some up and down moments throughout the book it's a really sweet book. I volunteered to read this book.
I love the Michigan Millionaires series by Kim Loth. I have been on her ARC for years. I fell in love with these stories right away.
Grayson has liked, no loved, Dani forever. . . Well, since college, anyway. Too bad, Dani doesn't see it, or know how to accept it. As her heart is, once again, breaking, Grayson is there to help her. Can she accept his help, and his heart? Will she learn to love him, truly?
There were times when i was giddy with butterflies as i read the romantic touchy feelies. I like the characters and their motivations, love bff-> lovers, i do dislike breakups due to misunderstandings :/ and i don’t see the appeal of reading about all the billionaire friends… some of the other samples didn’t catch my eye or i didn’t like the characters chosen. But i really enjoyed this one. Only Minor swears, no f bomb, only minor reference sex talk..
Grayson & Dani’s story was years in the making. I love their friendship, and how Grayson has been there for Dani for years, uplifting her & being her best friend. Grayson jumped in and saved Dani’s perfect big day, but convincing her that he really wants to be married wasn’t as easy. I love that Grayson showed her what love really looks like. They took a while to get there, but they both finally got their hea. It was sweet & swoony & full of love.
Another terrific story in a fantastic series. Grayson and Dani are perfect for each other. A cruise was a good way to make them have to stay close to each other and work through their feelings. I love the idea of Grayson being the man-of-honor at Dani's wedding. While I can understand Dani's low self-esteem, it got a little tiresome. I wish Cinco had played a bigger part in the story.
I voluntarily review an ARC. This book is oart of the Michigan Millionaires series, the books are standalones. I really love the series. So it's no surprise this is a really good story too. For my taste there was a tad too much whining and insecurity and I really missed the interaction between the other friends and their dogs.
This book just made me angry over and over. This girl lets a jerk walk all over her and say terrible things but when her “ true love” says something rude she immediately ditches him but ponders going back to the first guy. I can’t stand a girl who believes she is out of anyone’s league and that was the constant theme of this book.
The lack of communication in this book irritated me! I get the insecurities, but it was annoying how much I read ”he ‘s out of my league but my asshole ex is good enough, even though he treats me like shit and talks down to me”. I just wish there was a little more to the book. I loved the idea of the story, but it was definitely my least favorite of the series.
Being left at the alter is devastating but when a good man and your best friend steps up to marry you, you go for it. What's even better is falling for each other especially since Grayson is already in love with Dani. I love friends to lovers books and this was a good one.
This was a funny, cute story. Love how the two main characters secretly had feelings for each other but didn't tell each other. Love how they fell in love and all the ups and downs they had along the way!
I loved getting Graysons story! I really enjoyed watching Dani learn to love herself and know that she deserves love. I read this book so quickly! I love this series so much!
I listened to the audiobook, and unfortunately, it felt like it was read by AI. It seemed like a cute story, but I couldn't get past the narrator being so monotone and boring.
Super fast, easy read. I read it all in about 2 hours. The heroine was an idiot multiple times, and there was minimal interaction with other cast members from the series.
