Kate Reid #14

Her Only Crime

Rate this book
It’s a case unlike anything the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit has faced before and lead profiler, Supervisory Special Agent Kate Reid, must lead the charge.

When a gruesome discovery rocks a small suburban town outside San Antonio, Texas, local FBI Agent Victor Romero calls on the expert BAU team to offer insight. As lead profiler, it is Special Agent Kate Reid who answers the call, alongside colleague, Special Agent Jonathan Surrey.

While Agent Romero has his own theory as to who dismembered and buried several unidentified bodies around town, Kate Reid isn’t so sure. And Surrey pushes back on her provocative suspicion.

After exhausting what few leads they have, Reid, with the full force of the BAU team behind her, works to prove her theory. When she presents fresh evidence, Surrey relents and offers his full support. Now, they fear if what she believes turns out to be true, then nothing in this small town will ever be the same.

“A stupendous and must read!”
What an AWESOME Book
It is really hard to put this story down until the conclusion and the Kate series is just getting better and better. Although I would suggest to anyone who hasn’t read any of this series to read them this book can be read as a one off but you would get a better understanding of all the characters especially Kate’s.

That being said, this book is just breath-taking from the first page it just keeps your attention and the story line just is so addictive.
FBI Supervisory Agent Kate Reid a lead profiler working with the behavioral Analyst unit with partner Jonathan Surrey are called by a local FBI agent Victor Romero to a very gruesome discovery in a small town near San Antonio to a dismembered female body which then turns out to be a burial site with several female bodies.
Soon after they start their investigation and after an anonymous tip of a further site is located about a mile from the original site containing further female disremembered and unidentified female bodies are found adding further to the already clueless leads they have.
After extensive the few leads lead to nothing and the amount of bodies pile up reinforcements are brought in with the whole BAU team. Although opinions differ on who is responsible and the reason Kate’s own theory after new evidence is found takes the lead and concentration of the team. But if true nothing will remain the same for not just the town but everyone involved.
With lots of interesting and realistic characters, loads of trails and dead ends this is a truly great mystery and dynamic story that will set your pulses racing and you will not put this book down and until the conclusion.
“I would Highly Recommended!”

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "HER ONLY CRIME" OMG!!!! What a riviting on the edge of your seat mind-blowing rollercoaster ride this story takes you on, full of mystery, suspense, intrigue, murder, twists that will blow you away.
Kate Reid profiler heads to San Antonio with Jonathan Surrey on a case of missing women bodies found dismembered similar to case in Juarez where 100's of women go missing called Femicide.
Nick Scarborough head of Unit 2 is dealing with Cyber attacks on Amtrack he has his hands full with the President wanting answers as to who did this.
I definitely recommend to get this excellently written story by Robin Mahle it has you hooked from beginning to end so much happens the characters are amazing in this heart pumping riviting journey your taken on the ending is a shock to say the least I'm so looking forward to the next book. PHENOMINAL STORY!!!!

This one was bad

I don’t know what was worse, the terrible police procedure, or the constant slap on the back they give one another. The scene at Clay’s house was ridiculous
10 officers taking down 3 suspects - 1 almost gets away out the back, 1 shot and killed after he attacks Reid and the other hiding in the bathroom. They didn’t surround the building, they knock on the door and ask nicely if they can chat (seriously? Armed and dangerous) then once inside they scatter like cockroaches and don’t secure the rooms! IRL a few of those cops would have been killed in that shit show.
Then to top it all off, they keep congratulating one another on what great agents they are and what a fine job they did.
I typically like this series, but after this idiocy I probably won’t continue.

Kate Reid and Jonathan Surrey are called out to help to a small town called Somerset. There were bodies or what was left of bodies found in two different areas. Kate believes it is the doings of an Incel group, others think it is the cartel given the area is close to the Mexican border. No one was prepared what was found. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Kate is back doing what she does best, catching the bad guys.
Be prepared for scenes of horror and despair as lots of bodies of young women are found and Kate's team is called into help out.
As usual loads of tracks but no definate clues when tracking the felon(s). Will keep you interested to the last page.

A well written story that is both compelling and disturbing. Danger, mystery, drama and intensity unfold in this page turning story. Kate Reid has become one of my favourite crime solving heroines. Her character embodies determination, intellect, and nuance. This book and the series will make my repeats reads collection

Reality or fiction?

This was a truly story of more moving parts than an assembly line. I understand that this genre is fiction. Made up stories. But the ideas have to come from somewhere. So is there a modicum of truthfulness in type of crime syndicate. Or is just the wild imagination of an author with a gift of words a d ideas.

The whole series is spellbinding!

I liked the complex characters and short term mysteries were interesting with many twists. Story line throughout all the books made it you want to read the next one without feeling like you were left hanging.

Always a good story

I have read all the books I'm order. This one was not the best bet still good. At times it was slight!y confusing with some things coming out of nowhere. It is always interesting to see and experience the dynamics of the team.
