When Rachel’s friend Melanie is hired to throw a huge Halloween fundraiser event, Rachel’s dragged into the festivities one gift bag at a time. She doesn’t really mind. It gives her a chance to play on Etsy and Pinterest, two of her favorite time-wasters.
But then she learns this party is going to be a little different. For one thing, the owner of the warehouse where the party’s taking place is a vampire slayer. And then there’s the matter of the guest list. At least half the attendees—unbeknownst to Melanie—are actually creatures of the night. And the whole event is one elaborate trap.
What’s a middle-aged witch to do?
Save the vampires of course!
This is a long short story to introduce Rachel and her friend Melanie and the prequel to the four-book series "Books of Wonder."
