Madison Avery was tired of being alone and ignored. She’d done everything her family asked of her and she was still being pushed at men by her parents and marginalized at work by her brother and his friends. So, she left Apex Investing, joining her friends Chloe and Kat as the newest partner at Closet Connections to lead their marketing and growth. But work was quickly piling up, largely due to her successes, and it threatened to overwhelm her and hamper Closet Connection’s future. It was clear she needed the help of the one man she’d spent the majority of her adult life trying to avoid, Nicolas James. For her alone, he let the darker parts of his ruthless nature show, and the harder he came at her, the more she realized she craved what he could offer, both professionally and personally. But she wasn’t sure if she could let her guard down, or if he would do the same for her.
Jen began writing her debut novel after being an avid reader and a professional technical writer. She started with the Apex Trilogy, an erotic romance following the overlapping lives of three women and the men who learn to love them! Her writing style and interests have developed to include MM, MFMM, and MM+ erotic romance novels. Her books are written to be sexy and empowering, with fast moving plots and some exciting twist and turns along the way. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. Jen is a fan of romance, science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, and mysteries.
Book 3 in the Apex series ~ definitely read Apex: Book 1 and Apex: Book 2 first as this is the end of the trilogy that must be read in order.
Featuring ~ single 1st person POV, brother's best friend, best friends sister, BDSM, lotsa steamage
As a quick recap, since there isn't a blurb ~ Kat and Chloe began their clothing rental business, Closet Connections, while in college. They have teamed up with Apex Industries to help them grow and expand it. They hired their friend, Madison, for the marketing side of things.
Madison & Nicolas Madison is a feisty one and I loved her spunk. She is just as committed to Closet Connections as Kat and Chloe and her marketing skills were really helpful to the business.
I was not feeling Nicolas at all. He was down right mean most of the time, and not just during the BDSM times, but with his words too. This installment is a little darker and more on the painful side. He seemed to be super attentive regarding her sprained ankle, but .
I don't know if the author has a background in business, or just did some research, but I really like the business plan and the smart ideas for expansion.
Although, not my favorite of the series it was a nice wrap up to the trilogy.
