I liked the first book even thought it had it's faults, in this book it seems like author decided to pick up all faults in first book and exaggerate them to horrific results. It's painful to see how much MC decides to hide his power and his interactions with other adventurers. You would expect MC who wasn't afraid of dying in his training in first book would have some spine if not. would have grown some. But, MC in this has lost all the spine and decides to just float around like some characterless mob. Author tries to show MC as a kind person, but getting bullied without any reaction to it is not kindness, more so when it harms your party members or embarasses them. It is also painful to watch MC hiding behind a girl who is timid herself. While the reactions of MC would be suitable for a mob character of level 10-20 but it doesn't justify it at all when MC is 200-400 times higher level than most people in each town/city. Trying to hide your power level is good but doing it to the level of getting despised at each turn is pathetic. Author also has a bad habit of letting MC leave all the villains alive "because he doesn't want to kill a human". Would such people left alive not harm anyone else? Kindness to this extent is just a curse and painful to read about.

I really enjoyed the story of the disciple of the lich 2, it picked up exactly where the events left off the last time, and it was the same stupid fun popcorn time that made me love it in the first place. I wouldn't call it a well constructed story, however the stupidity of the characters in a way becomes highly amusing.

Kanata, Pomera and Philia travel to the next city over to gather components for the potions necessary to power-level Pomera. Kanata quickly realizes he lacks the funds to buy the stuff he needs and decides to go spider hunting while dealing with arrogant adventurers and unexpected threats. Meanwhile Lunaere follows Kanata from a distance struggling with her feelings.

While the setting is intriguing, created as entertainment for the gods, volume 2 felt fairly average for the genre. In it self not bad, I don't mind OP protagonists breezing through adventures. It is just that the characters are rather cliché and of a I kind I don't like. The MC lacking common sense, to a ridiculous amount. I mean, if you find C-rank material costs 3 million gp, would you be surprised if somebody sells B-rank material for 10 million gp? Or what about the arrogant adventurer hoarding it over others, being a typical jerk and underestimating the MC and his party? Potential harem shenanigans with jealous girls stalking the MC?

So, if you don't mind those tropes, it is a decent story, it just did not work for me.

Slow paced story.

Although a good story with a good plot, the overall book is a little bit boring, as the main character is way too overpowered even for the Demon King, which makes the action scenes too predictable and boring. This volume will also benefit from a better editing and proofreading, too many grammar error and sentences that don’t make sense. The author introduces in this story some new characters, but fails to developed any of the previous characters.

An OP you will love

Usually I don’t like an OP character , but I genuinely loved this one . I ended up finishing both books in just 2 days because of how good they are !

I feel that the author is trying to make it funny when book one wasn't that funny in book 1 (Noble did most of the comic relief). I also feel like the author wants the love that Lunaére has with Kanata, to be frustrated and impossible...which is sad and annoying...only a total idiot no invested in a relationship like that one (the author for instance) would belittle their relationship this much...
I feel that this is not as good as book 1. It felt shorter. A lot more was covered in book 1. So the Gods want to deal with Kanata now that he is a danger in this other world, and Kanata wants not to matter or stand out and yet everything he does makes him and his retinue stand out more...So, this author loves contradictions then...because the main characters love each other truly but the author is keeping them apart, the Gods want to get rid of them, and the readers want them together forever, Kanata needs to not be recognized by anything he does, spends the precious godly artifacts that Lunaére gave to him for free like if they were free when they cost each hundreds of millions...I do not foresee a good ending for this light novel series. Again, thanks to the changes the author has made from Book 1. The author enjoys playing against his characters a little too much, either he's a sadist or maybe even a sociopath...Does the author think that readers enjoy frustration and tragic love?
Don't like where everything is going. It's getting all convoluted and messy. Kanata was nice to Pomera to compensate all of the injustice around her, and now she has feelings for him and he's an idiot and he's a basket-case magnet, interested in only one girl but already accepted three others into his retinue...Rosemonde, Philia, Pomera and even possibly Kotone...I hate the idea that geek authors that aren't at all successful in seduction or love, actually create stories about harem main characters, without there being any seduction, charm, incredible wealth/power/popularity... Nobody likes geeky/nerdy introverted shy guys, and having a lot of incredibly sexy women around them is simply delusional. Kanata isn't able to have a real relationship with Lunaére, much less with other six girls that are throwing themselves at him...Everything is a mess and it's thanks to the author who's making it a mess...

Excited for the next book

I come close to screaming sometimes because of how I feel towards the actions the characters take. This shows just how good a book this truly is. I love it, I won't spoil anything but I freaked out at the climax because I then realized how close to the end of this book I was. It's awesome!!

LN - 4.25 on first read. This volume continued the fun of the first volume with lots of action and intrigue. The gimmicks are starting to become a bit repetitive, so I'm hoping the author can keep it interesting and engaging with the next volumes. So far, this series continues to impress me with just how chill and cozy a read it is.

Overall, enjoyable. I like the world and magic systems that are being built. Pomera gets on my nerves a little bit. Kanata needs to figure out a better plan of laying low, because he sometimes comes across like an ass. Philia will forever be my favorite
