I picked up this book at my boyfriends house while we watched the Super Bowl. I knew it would be a quick easy read. I did read the introduction and that was interesting just to get the authors feelings on why he wrote this book.

I have seen some reviews stating that each sentence is like a short proverb. I would point out a few things to my boyfriend that I noticed his dad taught him or something that I just found funny. I also chose to read this book because I have a son and do feel that a son needs a dad, and a son also needs a mother.

Very quick read. Kind of reads like individual proverbs. Each one is a good nugget. Would be a great book for a discussion group. Each page / idea would be a good discussion starter.

Not a lot of depth, but great things to be reminded of on a regular basis.

my ex husbands mom gave this to him and when we were at his house while he was deployed. my new husband read it and loved it. this is my husbands most prised book. funny how my sons real dad is nothing to us and who was supposed to be the step dad is the only dad. i love this book.

It took all of 10 minutes to read this 'book', but since I don't read much I needed to pad my stats. Thanks for the book mom.
