This is what I've wanted for fifteen years, to build a community where people are accepted for who they are, a place of tolerance and open-mindedness. I'm not here to be distracted by a tall, blond farmer who's never explored his bi-curious side. So why am I cancelling meetings and sitting in the dirt with him when I should be closing the deal on this piece of land?
Xavier has come to town to buy some land; he wants to create his own Utopia of sorts where everyone can live and be accepted. Beau was raised in a religious environment. He left for college and never went back. He now tries to live off the land by farming organic vegetables. Xavier and Beau have an instant attraction to one another when they first meet, serious chemistry, hot and steamy. I’m hoping we get Benji’s story! Overall, the story was fantastic, kept me glued to the pages! The story was well written with a group of fantastic secondary characters. Highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
I really enjoyed this story. Its hard to believe anyone can be that inexperienced but Beau is that innocent. He is happy doing his small farm and organic crops. When Xavier comes to town with plans to buy the big farm that Beau’s is a small part of, the attraction between X and Beau is cute. The problem is Beau has a lease contract and X has big plans. How they get together is quite the journey. These two are so different yet the strong connection definitely hold X. The secondary characters throw in side issues that are quite entertaining. The story held my attention all the way through and the story was consistent so I wanted to continue reading through to the end.
I liked this book, but at first, it was not easy to figure out what was going on. Beau is an innocent young gay man who has a small organic farm. Xavier falls in front of his tiny house, and the sparks begin to fly. They engage in a passionate affair for about a week until Beau discovers that Xavier is the real estate developer coming to buy the land he's been leasing. Beau runs, tiny house and all. After interventions from friends, they finally reunite. It is a lovely story of how two men who appear very different before the world are similar in how their sexuality has been dealt with in their families. Derbyn Hills sounds like a great place. Emphasis is placed on renewables, conservation, and acceptance of everyone's differences. I am looking forward to the stories of all the other characters we have met in this first book. I received an ARC from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
What a cute start for a new series. Xavier has the great wish to build up a community where everyone is accepted as they are. On his search for the ground and land he’s falling over Beau, an total unexperienced farmer. Both are crushing together, but there are also some dark clouds at the sky.
Follow these two guys to there Happy ending, it’s a nice short romantic novella with some steamy scenes.
I’m really looking forward to the next books of this seriesamd hopefully meeting Xavier and Beau again.
Falling for Beau is a short, quick, insta-lust/love.
Xavier and Beau have this instant “mine” kinda feeling, they both want them other. They flirt back and forth with texting and always have a smile on their faces when they talk with each other or are together.
Xander went to Forrester to buy land to build a community where gays are accepted or anyone to live there. Beau rescued him when he twisted his ankle by Beau’s property and end up falling for each other. But Beau finds a problem with the idea of Xander buying all of the property when he is leasing some of it. But they talk it out. Good book!
Beau and Xavier had an interesting coming together of sorts. Xavier has grand ideas and wishes to purchase some land. Beau has a contract and what he wants is different from what Xavier wants. Meeting int he middle was half the fun! Great secondary characters helped to create a well rounded story. I hope to see more of them in future installments.
Can't feel the love or chemistry between the 2 MCs and I think their relationship was based on physical appearances. This book has enough pages to explore more of their relationship but it focused more on Xander's problem building Derbyn Hills.
