It started as a favor.

I would do anything for my best friend so when she calls me up because her brother needs a date for a wedding, I say yes, even though I know that it’s a terrible idea.

See, the thing is that I’ve been in love with Clara’s brother, Kai, for my entire life. I know that I can’t have him though. Not only is he older than me, but I would never do anything to jeopardize my friendship with Clara.

Then the wedding gets canceled, which wouldn’t be a big deal if Kai and I hadn’t already gotten off the last ferry of the day.

Kai has been in loveeee with his sisters best friend Oakley but since it's his sister's friend nope he cant do nothing he can look at her from afar. But now his sister informs him Oakley is his date to a wedding and now it's his chance. And as for Oak she's glad she doesn't have to be around her snobby parents and be with the man she's been pinning for since forever. The two grow even closer when there stranded they have some ups and downs dealing with what to tell the sister/bff and the farm being sold that made her sad and angry at Kai and her parents. Don't worry he ties her up lol to let her listen to him.

Can't wait for the next brother.

This started off so good and super sweet! I love mutual pining and this had it in abundance. However, when some secrets came out our heroine turned into an absolute brat! Even though she knew she was sending her anger in the wrong direction she kept at it. That dropped my rating so quickly and I never liked her character as much as I did in the beginning.

I'm not really feeling these Cameron Hart / Shaw Hart collabs. I'm not a big fan of Shaw Hart to begin with, these stories don't have the same Cameron Hart angst and development. They're way too rushed and too little drama.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Kai and Oakley have know each other their whole lives, she's his sister's best friend. Ten years ago Kai made a promise to his sister Clara that he wouldn't go after Oakley. Oakley finished college and comes back to live with her parents who are cold and uncaring. When Kai's sister Clara calls her friend Oakley she asks her to do her a favor and go on a fake date with her brother Kai to a wedding. Oakley finally agrees she doesn't want to tell her best friend she's been in love with her brother forever. When they arrive on the island the wedding is suppose to be at Kai finds out it was cancelled. The only way on and off the island is by ferry, but they were on the last one for the night. They spend the night on the island, and after talking for while they find out they've been in love with one another for a while now. They both saved themselves for one another, Kai pleasure Oakley and then they make love. The next morning Oakley wakes to the sound of a boat horn, when she looks around Kai spots the ferry approaching the island. They quickly get dress and get back to the mainland. Kai takes them to the hotel he booked but he asks for the honeymoon suite. They spend the day in the hotel room, making love to one another. They then head back to Sequoia as they talk Kai lets Oakley know he purchased her parents farm, but she didn't know anything about her parents selling their farm. Oakley had big plans to bring her parents farm back, that's what she spend four years at college struggling to do. When Oakley tries to take off Kai takes her to his room and ties her to his bed. Kai heads out to find his brothers Griz Branded, Wyatt Bucked and Remy Spurred to ask them what he should do, they all tell him he needs to go back and untie Oakley then explain to her way he bought her parents farm. Kai heads back home and tells Oakley he's sorry, he'll give her the house she grew up in, he just didn't want to lose her. Kai tells her he loves her and Oakley tells him she loves him too. Kai and Oakley make up, make love. They next day Kai and Oakley call his sister Clara to break it to her they are together, but she surprises them by telling them she was hoping they would get together. The following day Oakley gets up the courage to comfort her parents about selling her childhood home. Oakley leaves her parents home hoping to never. see them again. Five years later, Kai and Oakley were married on the island they were stranded on, only her brothers and sister were there. They have a daughter Kaylie and are expecting their second child in about a month. Oakley hasn't talked to her parents since that night, she's been happier. Oakley has turned her parents farm around, in the past five years. Kai has something special planned for Oakley for their fifth wedding anniversary. It took them ten years to finally admit how they feel for one other, but that’s nothing when Kai realizes that he has Oakley for the rest of his life.

Kia has been in love with Oakely since the moment he saw her when they were kids, but because he promised his sister, Clara, he would not go after his friend. Years later, the feeling for Oakely only has grown.

Oakely has had a crush on Kia forever, but being her best friend's brother, he is off limits, but when he admits his feeling, she tells him that it has always been him.

When Kia needs a date for a wedding, he decides it is time to let her know and he is not going to let her go. All is good until Kia tells her about her farm, this news knocks Oakely as her parents did not mention they sold it.

This is an amazing fast read with the right amount of love, passion that warms your heart and family drama that will leave you with a "oh my..." feeling. Great addition and a perfect addition to the series.

This is book number 3 of the Sequoia: Stud Farm series and focuses on Kai and Oakley. Kai and Oakley have been head over heels in love with each other since they were kids. Despite how much they long to be together, they never made a move on each other because of Oakley’s best friend and Kai’s sister, Clara. When the opportunity arises for them to go to a wedding together, their lives change overnight when they finally confess their feelings. I love that they were true to each other in all ways and that there was only ever each other for them. They were absolutely perfect for each other! I love the life they were able to create together. This was an excellent book and an excellent addition to the series.

*spoilers* Clara makes her brother Kai promise to not make a move on her best friend Oakley when they were teenagers. Oakley is in love with Kai, but would not dare to lose her best friend and thinks he sees her as a sister. So for ten years feelings on both sides are surpressed, untill Clara arranges her for his date for a wedding and due to a cancelation they are stranded together. Finally hearts find to each other.
It is so heart warming to read how Kai did some special things for Oakley also they did not confess their love. They stayed true to each other and their hearts. Shaw Hart writes short stories which catch and touch me every time. Oakley and Kai are so amazing. Excited to read Remy's story hopefully soon.

Coincidentally – or maybe not -- Kai and Oakley have been crazy about each other for many years. But neither declared their feelings. So when Clara asked if Oakley would be her brother Kai’s date for a wedding they were all attending, she agreed. When the wedding is cancelled, Kai and Oakley had stepped off of the last ferry to make the trip that day. They were stranded overnight on an island with no cell service. (Sounds like paradise already!) Which one will give in and make the first move?

Not speaking up in case it disappoints the sibling/friend should never be an issue. By the time they are adults, they don’t need Clara’s permission. So hopefully they will both realize that it’s okay to follow your heart if that’s where it leads. Grab your copy and see how their island adventure turns out.

Unrequited love and a happy ending..what more can you get from this short romance. Two people who have loved each other for years, but never spoken about it. Everyone knows Kai loves Oakley his sister's friend. A promise he made to Clara ten years ago not to date any of her friends, has prevented him making a move on the only girl he has ever wanted. Oakley has secretly loved him for years, but Clara and her vile parents have prevented her from making her feelings known.
A wedding date, a ferry, an island and being the only two there is the catalyst for this HEA. A cute storyline, love Kai and Oakley is sweet. Lots of love, sexy times, humour and honesty for this couple.
Not a great fan of short stories but this works.

Oakley and Kai have been in love since they were teenagers but neither told the other. Kai had made a promise to his sister to never date her friends and Oakley didn’t want to lose her best friend if things went wrong with Kai. Neither had loved or dated anyone else. After returning from college Oakley agreed to be Kai’s date for a wedding at Clara’s request. Both were dreading it as they didn’t know if they could keep their feelings secret while alone for so long! This was an amazing, sweet, steamy story. Oakley and Kai were true soulmates. Their love poured from the pages. Their chemistry was amazing and the HEA so beautiful.

Okay so first things first, this book was hot. The chemistry between Kai and Oakley was great, and they seemed to work really well together. The amount of times ‘good girl’ and ‘sir’ were said totally worked, and despite them both being inexperienced, Kai was a nice mix of dominating and caring and it all worked well.

Where the story lost me a bit was the actual romance. I’m fine with them both pining over each other for a long time. But the tattoo?? It was too much. I did like that Kai totally opened up to Oakley about how he felt, and she wasn’t shy about telling her how she felt too, but it all got a bit rushed for my preference, romance-wise.

I liked Kai’s interactions with his siblings, and it’s intrigued me to read their stories in this series!

Oakley and Kai have been in love with each other for 10 years. Neither has told the other because Oakley is Kai’s sister’s, Clara, best friend. Clara made them both promise to never get involved with each other due to some drama with another friend. Once stranded on an island together, Kai and Oakley cannot help themselves and admit their feelings.
The dynamic duo of Shaw Hart and Cameron Hart are incredible together as authors! Both are fabulous in their own rite but together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

What a sweet read. Roped is the 3rd book in the Sequoia Stud Farm Series. The series follows the Ford brothers as they find their forever loves and work their ranch. Roped is Kai & Oakleys story. Oakley is best friends with his younger sister Clara and he’s been in love with her as long as he can remember. A perfect read if you want something quick and sweet , under 2 hours. No worries if your looking for spice this is what I like to call sweet heat. The Hart team definitely packed in the spice with this one 🥵🥵friends to lovers, age gap, cowboy romance at its best. A definite recommend for me. Happy Reading Book Besties💙

Let me start with that I have read the first 2 books of this Sequoia Series through KU and they were good enough to make me want to read about the brothers and the sister also. But this one, I have to buy this one. It was scorching. I loved both the characters especially Kai, such a sweetheart but kinky and dominant in bed, lol. If you don’t like very smexy scenes then bypass this book or just skip the scenes. There is still quite a bit of story in this book. There is not that much drama in this book. He doesn’t take long to tell her how he feels which I really appreciated. I really hope the next book is scorching like this one was. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Kai and Oakley...ahh! I was really looking forward to this story and it didn't disappoint. Kai and Oakley have been in love with each other for years, but neither of them knew how the other felt and kept it hidden because of Kai's sister, Clara. I loved how sweet Kai was with Oakley right from the beginning. It was obvious how much these two loved each other, no matter what obstacles were put between them. Loved their story so much, now I'm looking forward to reading about Remy.

This was a phenomenal best friend’s brother romance. I loved this story, it was so sweet and steamy with a little surprise kink. Kai and Oakley were perfect together and I loved how they finally got together. This series has just been one amazing story after another and I’m happy that there’s still one more. Furthermore I’m excited that Clara will get a story even though it won’t be out for ages but I’ll just have to wait patiently.

These two have loved each other since they were children. So much that they'd rather not choose another in over a decade. Misconceptions have helped to keep Kai from declaring his feelings. Oakley fought hers for fear of them never being returned. It was a sweet story with a surprise or two and plenty of passion. I liked the love story and the characters.

I thought that this was a really sweet book. I really enjoyed Kai and Oakley together. These two have been in love with each other for years but because Oak was Kai's little sister's best friend, this two never told each other of their feelings. Now, fate has brought them together and alone, these two can't keep their feelings or hands to themselves. There is some drama but these two are able to face head on together. I can't wait for the next book!

In the third book of their awesome Sequoia: Stud Farm series, Shaw Hart and Cameron Hart have taken my favourite romance trope - best friend's brother - and delivered an absolutely entertaining, steamy and swoon-y romance in Roped. Kai and Oakley are perfect for one another, and their story - getting to watch them get out of their own way and confess their long-standing feelings for one another - is such a fun read. Another highly recommended title in this fantastic series!

Oakley has been in love with Kai her best friend's brother for years so when his sister/her best friend asks if she will be her brother's date for a wedding Oakley says yes. Kai has loved Oakley for just as long but he never acted on his feelings because of his sister. I loved the way the authors brought Kai and Oakley together stranded on an island. This is a great series! Kai and Oakley have both had feelings for each other for a long time but keep holding off on pursuing them since Oakley is best friends with Kai's sister and neither of them wants to do anything to jepordize that friendship.

Through a series of events the two end up stranded together on an island.

This is a great forced proximity, best friends brother story.

There is great banter and chemistry between Kai and Oakley and it's great to see them finally get their HEA after years of standing on the sidelines.

This is the 3rd book in this series, and this is Kai and Oakley’s story. Oakley has loved her best friend’s brother for a long time, and when she needs a date for a wedding, Kai agrees to attend with her. However, the wedding is called off, and these two are stranded together on a remote island. This is a good story which if a fun read, with friendships, romance, a tad angst, and love, which lead to a steamy page turner.

Roped is amazing, Sensational, Romantic, and once you start reading you are hooked. I love this series. It makes your heart flutter and you are drawn into every word. Kai and Oakley’s chemistry burns off of the pages. There is steamy passion that will make you crave more. I cannot recommend this enough. You will love this as much as I have. A must must captivating, addictive and fiery story that touches your heart in so many ways.

Mutual unrequited love, Oakley and Kai have carried a torch for each other since childhood. Kai never made a move due to a misunderstanding. Once they are isolated on an island overnight, the truth comes out. I have to say the steam these two generate could power a small town! They are so hot, they are hawt. There was a scene that had me cracking up, especially when he confessed what he did to his brothers. So much fun, I was highly entertained, I have to give it 5 stars!
