There are two kinds of people : one who gives too much attention to their dreams while there is one more set who even turns a blind eye to their relentless nightmares that seem to follow them .

Elena belong to the second kind . She was certainly observing the pattern of her evil dreams and knew that they are leading her to something not so favourable . She meets Andrew who is worried about her scars but is himself a mysterious being.

Who is he?
Why Elena is facing such dire consequences?
What has she done?

Grab the book to find out.

The book is very short and crafted nicely . Though the structure of the tale is bit problematic. It is certainly fast paced but readers dont get answers to all the questions which calls for sequel. There are some scenes which can make sensitive souls uncomfortable.

Overall not for the faint hearted

🔸 The curse of Keres is a story about a girl named Elena, living with her mother and sister after losing her father in an accident. She started getting constant nightmares in which a woman is trying to haunt her and kill her.

🔹 She finds something or the other marks on her body every day. She started searching for a solution and dig it up deep to get more details about the same with the help of a friend called Andrew.

🔸In the meanwhile, she gets to know about something which she never imagined. What are the twist and suspense in the remaining story? To know more about her journey grab the book & give it a try.

🔹 Writing style of the book is nice. The language used in the book is simple and easily understandable. The story is captivating so I couldn't put it down. Narration is very good it's a flash read which I finished in a single sitting.

🔸It is divided into small chapters which keep the readers hooked till the very end. The author has explained everything clearly. The reason for the haunting is also mentioned clearly and leaving the reader with another suspense in the end. Though not much scary I like it. I am eagerly waiting for the next part.

The Curse of Keres by Vedanshi Pahwa

The opening of this book reeled me in. From that very first moment I knew I was going to like this one. The book follows a story of Elena, high school student, who is being haunted by her nightmares. It means that nightmares are not just real while she is a sleep they are also real when she wakes up. Like other heroines before her she tries to keep everything hushed up except for a boy, Andrew. He is interested in her nightmares as she is disgusted by them.

The book has an interesting plot. The story line can seem like overdone but don't let that cloud your judgement you will love it once you start reading it. I liked how the story is presented to the audience. It is written in the form a drama, without much flowery language so you know the story firsthand, and it feels lot more personal. Characters are well developed. Ending was good. Overall it is a well written book that you can devour in one sitting.

Elena is getting constant nightmares in which a strange woman is trying to kill her. She finds new strangling marks on her body every morning. Afraid yet determined, with the help of her friend, she decides to find the meaning behind these nightmares.

The story is written by the teenage author in a skit format. The theme is definitely interesting and keeps you going. Young readers will definitely enjoy the book.

This book has a sequel and the story ends with a cliffhanger. I liked the paranormal concept. Overall an enjoyable horror read for young readers.

'The Curse of Keres' by Vedanshi Pahwa is a book that revolves around a girl named Elena. Elena was experiencing some horrific dreams but what was more shocking that they were turning into reality and a woman threatening her through these dreams. One day she happens to meet Andrew and they soon become good friends. She shares her experiences with Andrew and he believes her and is also worried for her. Who is Andrew? Why is Elena experiencing these nightmare? Who is this woman and why is she threatening her? To know read 'The Curse of Keres'.

My Thoughts:

The plot was interesting. What I liked the most about this book is the way in which it is written. It's as if a skit is playing infront of us. The story moves in such q manner that the readers will actually be curious to know what is going to happen  next and will also be horrified with some scenes.

Characters are well developed and relatable.  I liked Elena's character alot even after facing so many difficulties she is determined to know about why these things are happening to her and Andrew also helps her alot.

Language is simple and lucid. The  narration is done excellently. The book cover is interesting and is apt to the plot. The book title is also apt to the plot.

Overall, I really liked this book but some scenes might make the readers a bit uncomfortable.

Title: The Curse of Keres
Author: Vedanshi Pahwa
Length: 90 pages.
Publisher: The Write Order
Genre:Horror- Fiction

The story starts with a girl in high school having a nightmare in which she sees someone hurting her, but it's not just a dream; even when she wakes up, the marks are still there, but how? And why on earth would somebody wish to do damage to a young woman who is still in high school? All of these questions are addressed in subsequent chapters of the book. The narrative comes to an unexpected conclusion, and I can't wait for the next instalment in the series. While I believe that we can probably figure out how the events of this story are connected but who can say for certain what the future holds?

The narrative is powerful, and the characters are brought to life in a compelling manner. I found out that the book was written by a 12 year old, and if that is true, she has done a mesmerising work. Although the writing structure is ill defined, I am one hundred percent sure that we will see something more thrilling in the next part of the story. The plot of the story is very well defined. I raise my glass to you, girl!

It only took me an hour to read this book, but I am shaken up to the core; I had goosebumps because the tale was so captivating that I began envisioning it. The language is very straightforward, and the book can be finished in a single sitting with no difficulty. Highly recommended for everyone who likes reading horror stories.

Curse of Keres is a gripping spooky story that narrates the paranormal experience's faced by Elena.
Nightmares that are just unreal when we wake up, they turn out to be real in Elena's life.
She has no way out and her death seems like the only solution.
But she has got her friend and family's Support which is always there to protect her.
But can humans stand against spirit which is too dangerous and bloodthirsty ?

It took me exactly 45 min to complete this book.
Story is totally captivating that I couldn't put it down.
The small chapters keeps our interest.
Since the beginning, the suspense is well maintained.
The reason for the haunting is explained in such a way that it again raises questions and expectations for the sequel.
Meanwhile, not scaring the audience too much, the Author entertain the readers with the Romance.

The curse of keres has a sequel part coming in it's way and I'm totally curious.
The title isn't justified in the first part but this book is surely a perfect beginning in this series..
As I was reading the ending chapters, I was feeling it incomplete but soon the Author didn't disappoint me and kept the quality of the plot engaging..
This book is like a trailer that we can not miss and the huge twist in form of story awaits us in the sequel.

Overall enjoyed reading it.

(She tries to choke Elena. She has a tight grip, dark colored skin, long nails and her hands are covered in blood)
.
The main character of this plot is Elena. She has been facing a nightmares that are badly disturbing her daily life. And slowly her nightmares are turning into reality. She got disturbed with the changing situation. So she decided that she will reveal the truth behind this nightmares. And why that woman disturbing her in her dreams ? And why she wanna kill her ? What's her connection with Elena?
.
During the phase of full disturbance & mental break down she meet Andrew. They became best friends & start liking each other but soon after that suddenly Andrew disappeared & Elena got shocked. She has no clue where he has gone. She searched him everywhere & finally got to know the shocking truth about Andrew. What was that truth?
.
I loved this haunting tale of mystery, thriller and horror. This book ofc needs a little correction but its the first book of an Author, I'm proud of her that she wrote such an amazing story. Narration is gripping & page turner. Language is easy. Cover page is also apt & nice.
.
I really enjoyed it till the late page. I liked the thriller element that perfectly maintained till the last page. And ending is unexpected & shocking for me. Now I'm looking forward to read nxt part of the story. I really wanted to know more about Elena & Andrew.

The book “The Curse of Keres” written by Vedanshi Pahwa revolves around the protagonist Elena, a high-schooler who is regularly haunted by horrible nightmares, in which a woman tries to harm her in some way or the other. She decides to get to the bottom of the matter in order to get rid of the spirit that continues to haunt her all the time. In her way of discovering the truth, she comes face to face with even worse truths.
• The plotline seemed to be quiet interesting from the blurb; the cover is quiet commendably designed.
• The chapters are quiet short and perfect for readers who struggle to concentrate over long chapters. The book itself is pretty short and can be easily finished in one sitting only.
• The book has been written in a skit format, which is quite innovative, but didn’t quite fit right with the style of writing. I believe the narration style could have been improved quite a bit, since the story-telling does not do justice to the captivating plotline; it seems to fall flat.
• Also, despite being good enough for beginners, I don’t think the book will hold the attention of seasoned readers.
I definitely look forward to the sequel of this book, and I hope that it will be composed of much more refined language and better writing style.

The book opens with Elena being chocked by an unknown woman, suddenly she is woken up by her sister thus realising it was just a nightmare. But soon she finds finger marks on her neck which means it wasn't totally a nightmare. Anyhow Elena goes on with her life and even meets a sweet guy named Andrew. But slowly those "nightmares" start becoming more dangerous pushing Elena to discover more about the woman who is bent on killing her and parallaly her friendship with Andrew starts getting more serious.

I've to say that the story was progressing very well, it was fast paced and the events kept me hooked but the ending of the story was a bit disappointing. The solution of Elena's nightmares was very abrupt, in my opinion it could've been done better and also there's a plot twist at the end which is really great and unexpected but it looses it's charm because of it's mention in the blurb at the back of the book (so you guys can still enjoy it by not reading the blurb). Anyway it's a great quick read and is quite interesting throughout just the ending wasn't satisfactory for me. I think the author wanted to end it in a cliffhanger instead the climax feels incomplete and I really hope that the second book makes up for it cause I as a reader felt this story has a good potential.

This book is of thriller, horror and mystery genre. The story revolves around a girl named Elena, who lives with her small family and has a best friend named Andrew. Elena experiences continuous nightmares which eventually take up horrific form and become intolerable.
The mystery of the story starts with these nightmares.

The book is very short and can be completed in an hour. So it's perfect for the non readers. Also it is not in the narration form, it is written in dialogues which makes it easier and more interesting to read.
The language is also very lucid. It may seem short and bland to avid readers because the story did not seem very unique or out of the box for me. Story writing was not according to the expectations. It could've been presented in a longer, detailed and more interesting manner because it only consists of one part which shakes the readers to the core but at that particular part the book ends with a "to be continued". In my opinion it was not required to write a second part for this, because the value of this book would've been surely increased if both the parts were merged into a single one.
I recommend it to kids and non readers, not to people who are fond of reading and want longer reads.

Someone is trying to kill Elena in her dreams but when she wakes up it seems real and day by day the dreams are haunting her more and she is getting restless. But a ray of hope came to her life when she met Andrew with whom she can share her dreams, who seems to be genuine.

Her dreams are getting more dangerous for her. That woman going to kill her. But after a few weeks, she started living a normal life. But the real trouble starts after that. When she thought that everything is now ok around her, her life became upside down when she heard the news.

What is the news? Who is trying to kill Elena? Is it something related to her past or a misconception?

To know the story, you need to read the book. This book is around 90 pages which I finished in just half an hour. It is a fast-paced read and the fonts are quick to go through. The ending is so sudden and insufficient that I think there must be a second part, It's like a cliffhanger. I am so excited to read the second part to know what happens in Elena's life.

This 90 page thriller is just outstanding. The story is as captivating as the book cover. The narration makes the story even more interesting and engaging.
Since this book has a sequel, I would refrain from giving any kind of spoilers.
The story is about Elena who always gets nightmares. She thinks that a women is trying to kill her. She was under the impression that the spirit was directing her to do something. Fed up with these abnormal activities, she decides to seek the reason for such happening.
However things are not so simple. While she was trying to figure out the mystery behind the spirit, things were not happening as expected. The author very well introduces interesting turns to the story. Since this is just the first part, you will certainly wish for the second part of the book after reading the end part.
Happy Reading

The book falls in the genre "fantasy" & "horror". Since it is only 90 pages long, I could finish reading the storyline in just 4 hours. The book contains a power pack storyline, full of horror elements, which hooked me from the beginning till the end.

The protagonist of the book is Elena. This girl is always surrounded by horrific nightmares. The worst part of her experience is that she actually perceives them as reality rather than illusion. What happens when an illusion turns to be real?

The author had mentioned about the dangerous and blood soaked spirit and here is when the book turns to be so deadly. Readers have to experience amazement and curiosity throughout the book.

Andrew and Mr. Williams are also the supportive characters within the storyline. Death, hauntingly, mystery are all elements that make up the storyline.

This book has surely left me waiting for the next part. Written by a 12-year old, yes you read that right! It is written by a 12-year old and I'm sure the way she has written it will leave you astonished.✨

It is about a girl named Elena who lives with her mother and sister and has constantly been having the worst of nightmares, but are those really just nightmares? The guy she thinks of being her friend, does he even exist? Read to find out!📖

Reading this was like reading a great story with an interesting plot and twists. It took me about an hour to complete it and I didn't want to keep the book down even for once. Waiting for the next part!🤩

Elena, a teenager living with her mom and sister, was constantly having nightmares and something/someone was trying to hurt her. She was struggling when she made a friend who she confided in. Later on, a set a revelations lead to unraveling of mystery behind the nightmares. The story was good, written in skit format. I kind of expected a little more dense drama. I read a few reviews on amazon only to realise that its written by a teenage author. The mid part of the story might not have been THAT good to me, but the end got me like - woahh, wth! I am definitely excited to read the next part now. The book is really small, hardly 90 pages. Easy language. Can be picked up by beginners.

The book tells the story of a girl who is being haunted by a spirit and she tries her best to get rid of it by doing everything possible for herself and sometimes doing the impossible.

The story is very interesting as well as full of horror and surprise.

It has all the elements of horror and ghost story like suspense, thrill etc.

It totally instills a sense of dread.

I didn't want the book to end but since it was a very short story it ended very quickly.

The language used is easy and understandable.

There are some mistakes in the book.

Overall it is a good book.
