When Pat only gets $75.00 from his rich businesswoman aunt after she passes, he’s upset. It wouldn’t be such a blow if she hadn’t promised him so much more, and if Pat’s brother, James, hadn’t inherited all of her businesses, worth millions of dollars.
Even James doesn’t think it’s fair, so he gifts one of the businesses to an adult store that specializes in costumes and toys for the bedroom. It’s more of a mean-spirited joke gift than anything, but Pat will take whatever he can get. Maybe he can just sell the business—but first, he needs to make it worth buying. And a big part of being a successful store is knowing the product, which means trying everything out first-hand.
Good, heart warming story of a guy who has nothing going for him inheriting a business which he did not want. After a short time he grew into to the business and became successful.
My rating is based on another's. That reader seems to understand the material far better than I do. I stand by my original rating though this is up for a rewrite, which none will read.

I saw a snowflake recently who whilst insulting an essayist I admire, complain to her that I list other trans creators. The arrogance of the Snowflake (poorly educated, poorly socialised, viciously fragile US male man-baby of a European ethnicity) no longer shocks. Trigger Warning then.
My mentioned channels feature paleontologist, sewist, lesbian, Australian, tall, writer, bi, architect, physically challenged, farmer, intersex, communist, older, WOC, marine biologist, military boardgamer, asexual, Canadian, married, culture critic, queer, physicist, older, model painter, het, boat builder, mother, poet, anthropologist, Indian, book reviewer, cis, ginger, cosplayer, military historian, philosopher and other creators known as Women.
Almost as threatening to the limited reference group are channels hosted by science educator, other BIPOC, socialist, Irish, redhaired, neurodivergent, archaeologist, fashion historian, other LGBTQI+, chemist, reenactor, mathematician, Ugandan, wood worker, historian of science, boater, miniatures Wargamer, linguist, New Zealander, musician, zoologist, modeller, fashion historian, Cornish, RPG player and other creators known (outside the USA) as Human Beings.
If still prodded by the voices, seek emergency therapy and/or repeat several times daily "I will not be a bellend today" and/or learn a language (perhaps English).
Erotic Romantic wrote an interesting review. The reviewer has a better handle on the writer's previous output than myself. I recommend that you give that review a read. This is different to my usual fare.
I would not have seen E.R.'s opinion had I only reviewed this book a year ago. At that point Amazon did not Allow me to see other reviews of books on which I review.
Onto the book. I understand what erotica is but since I am 15, it does not much excite my imagination. It acts only as background and adds depth to characters I already connect with. For me sexuality in fiction involving human beings is just a given.
If the characters are flat, other background elements are too thin or the story itself does not engage, it becomes another irritant.
That was not the case with this book. Not referencing the low bar for erotica set by Maas or Hoover, this was well written. It was odd and the abuse of power felt realistic. Despite my reaction to the behaviour of the relative, the story was readable. It is pleasant to be able to say something good about a Kindle selection.
This book helped me examine my understandings of the intersection of sexuality and power in relationships. I had not known that erotica was so broad. This was an interesting expansion of my horizons. I examined power in relationships when I was an undergraduate but did not have an epiphany that sex and sexuality was so expansive.
For me sex works best as a form of play and there are many forms of play. A reader curious about the concept which underlies this book might find it enlightening. I had not heard of feminization before reading this. It seems to be somewhat common.
I have earned a visit to the YouTube. My advice for what small value it might possess is to digest but also challenge the logics/narratives of channels, rather than accept the easy or comfortable answers. All human interaction have at least a subsurface political aspect and information transfer are definitely an expression of political perspective.
Consider treating this site as hostile. 🤔
Goodreads discourse does not exist. As example, I wrote a short negative review of Powers of the Earth. It was originally blurbed as similar to a Heinlein classic, it is not. It is a more poorly written rehashing of "Atlas Shrugged" set on the Moon.
The book is the story of a heroic twat enlisting the military to overthrow the US government in order that he not pay inheritance tax. The main character in the first pages, states that the he has a "great big gun" and he will not allow "the government to take his stuff". Compelling prose.
This was not Steinbeck, Pasternak, Stapledon or Moorcock. The writer is Travis Corcoran. He had self-described as libertarian (now anarcho capitalist without millions) and advocate for the return of chattel slavery of African Americans specifically (position popular in the USA, suggested in Republican Party policy and legislative initiatives, endorsed by MAGA and got opposed by the others), veteran, employee of an unnamed US agency, admirer of Putin (popular stance then and now among the Billionaires, Republican voters and the US administration).
The theme and similar are widely promoted by Amazon, whether through indifference, editorial preference or response to their popularity among US Goodreads members of certain racial designation and gender, I can not hazard a guess. From my YouTube exposure, I suspect a combination of the three.
The Corcoran and six fellow patriots objected strenuously to my humble communist perspective. Their comments over a year included my lack of engagement being proof of narcissism, slavery is a social good, white men created all of history, women lacking the intelligence to understand science fiction, "It is just science fiction". their judgement on my intelligence and much more. Typical literary discourse.
I had hoped with such a broad collection of subject specialists, I might also have answered concerning Yamnya culture. Sadly I was disappointed. Such is life.
The layers of irony were painful.
The final comment was delivered by Claes Rees Jr aka cgr710 now ka Clayton R Jesse Jr. After referencing the contents if my last message the contents of the last message to a Goodreads friend, he grandly declared that They had "won" (?).
I discovered that They had launched a tsunami of vile sexual, racist, anti-working class and other attacks against apparently every channel which I listed. Sometimes done in my name and it continue still in more muted firm.
Strangely the midteen boater and her mother, theoretical physicist, model builder, art historian and the many others were neither charmed not receptive to this uniquely American courtship ritual.
Despite that failure, They certainly increased the world's oversupply of ugliness and did deliver a splendid self-portrait of the Snowflake (insecure, poorly educated, lonely, poorly socialised, US man-baby) to a multinational audience, which surely must count as Victory.
The female commenters have been in my experience, commonly condecending. They are best labelled the Karens of Goodreads. The upset man-children were the most common commenters. I had to give their label a think.
They are twelve years old mean girls trapped in the bodies of 35+ white American males objecting to any criticism of racist, misogynistic themes or representation in poorly written books.
The defence of a loathsome John Ringo zombie series, was interesting. It features a father grooming 12 and 14 years old daughters for impregnation by anonymous US marines, dismay that Caribbean black faces are equipped with standard English and more. This was the protagonist.
I was stunned by this book, whose writer claimed two daughters aged twelve and fourteen. I was physically ill when I walked away from it. I could not do a review. That abhorrent series is quite popular among US members.
After the last 18 months on YouTube, I see the target audience clearly. They are diseased but not the tiny minority of the US population, which I and many others had hoped. More disturbing is that majority which are quietly supportive or in denial of Their existence.
The time is now for another stepaway. This last is made possible by YouTube channels Doctor Who/Be Kind - Reality Genre Studios, NCMI, fig tree, Tyrone Ross, Happy Pancake, Silicon Curtain, Kaz Rowe, Lady Izdihar, PPR Global, Naughty Nana DUZ, History of Everything, Lore Reloaded, Council of Geeks, TLDR News Global,

Ominous music begins. 😊 The comment gangs are a feature of Goodreads supported by Amazon employees. Their activities have extended far beyond comment of the nasty, condescending, sometimes threatening and always insulting variety. After my Powers experience above, I discovered from YouTube that They had already moved to the doxxing, stalking and direct threats to readers and those connected to them.
Amazon have never disciplined mental members, punished writers involved or dismissed employee enablers of both.
My limited message history was shared with these deranged individuals, who then requested of Australian Intelligence through Pine Gap Centre that they interrogate the one friend, whom I occasionally messaged. The attempt at my personal information failed but did leave two very angry customers.
A review came may be tedious but should never be life threatening.
Amazon's response to our outrage was not apology nor explanation. Instead the visible harassment was removed from my pages. Lurkers whom I had not been Permitted to remove previously, were all disappeared. Page format and options were returned to normal and the rest. Customer service ?? 🙂
A seventh ex-employee of EBay was sentenced for harassment of a couple whose small ecommerce channel was deemed unkind to EBay. The couple were awarded millions and that ex-employee had been the EBay Chief of Global Security or some such.
The above all occurred before the US gave data corporations, carte blanche.
Several suggestions for a safer Goodreads experience. Remove all personal information from profile and avoid message function. Remove Lurkers, those friends who never post. They are likely monitors for gangs or employee created dummies, not admirers.
Given the Amazon penchant for alteration of customer pages, the screenshot of the odd, ugly and threatening are invaluable. These should suffice.
Fortunately there are BookTubers for good fiction reviews and better reader forums.
Kindle are the more dangerous. Do Not use Kindle Files, Contacts. Calendar and Email. Amazon employees read customer emails with neither permission nor notice. Make of that what you will.
Do Not purchase Amazon e-books, a mistake I made. You own only your device not downloads which may be deleted at whim. There are BookTubers who will direct you to alternative ebook and device vendors, well as options to ebook purchase.
Obviously all Silk searches should be non-critical and innocuous.
To implement these do not cost anything, to not might well do. Remember that these yobs lack healthy socialisation or morality but are US patriots. Ominous music ends. 😊
Be safe and may we all enjoy Good Reading! 🤗

I wish sincerely that the reader enjoy a refreshing morning, a possibly erotic afternoon, a gentle evening, a blissful night and may we all continue learning.
This story is different from all of the Nikki Crescent writings that I have read to date. Nobody in this story is disassociate or feminized; there isn't anyone that is using Pat (the story's main character) as a victim or setting out for revenge against him, he isn't being humiliated (aside from some ribbing that he has to take from his brother), and in all reality, he just experiments with his feminine side, quote successfully, and with his business acumen and his love life - all quite successfully. The book is a nice change for Ms. Crescent and I hope that she has a lot of success with its sales.
I really enjoyed this story if only there could be a sequel to some of your stories. This one definately could benefit from one, and especially from girl interest to either marriage/life partner and more exploration of expressing joy of living in moments to overcoming and seeing a path of a rollercoaster life with either one to two partners? Really love your work. I really appreciate how it unfolds both in the erotic and story lines.
He has a woman that loves him, a roof over his head and all kinds of toys to play with and test drive together. How can he go wrong. II love the way he slammed the door in his brothers face!!!
Another lovely story with an ending that I could only hope for in my own personal life. This is why fantasy is better than reality sometimes. Thank you for another fantastic tale and I'm looking forward to reading more in the future.
I didn't see any feminization (he still dressed as a man while working) as was mentioned in the synopsis. It was just crossdressing. As for the use of the sex toys--everyone has needs. In this case sales did pick up when he understood his products better. This story was a good read but it is easy to see that it wasn't so much about the store as much as it was about Pat's self-exploration while testing the things he sold in the store.
I like that it had a great storyline, but I really wish it would have continued further. It was just really getting to a crescendo when the story ended.
