Rubble is book three in the Macha MC series and each book is standalone, meaning that readers can jump into the series at any point.
As a reader, I love books where time and effort has been put into the world building and this is something that is evident in Rubble. I read as a means of escape and I can only truly lose myself in a book if the world in which it is set – regardless of its genre – is believable. The Macha MC series is the perfect example of this. The characters are three dimensional and each have their own unique personalities and quirks, meaning that a reader feels a connection with them. When a reader feels a connection like this, it means that they can become emotionally invested in the character and their story. For me, being made to care about a character and what happens to them is a sign of good writing and a good story. There have been countless times when reading a romance book where I haven’t felt any sort of connection with the characters and because of this, getting to the end of the book has felt like a chore. Often this is down to the fact that the author has sacrificed plot and character development for the sake of a few extra steamy sex scenes, but this wasn’t the case with Rubble. Jupiter and Rubble’s relationship isn’t just built on a foundation of physical attraction. They work together as a couple in every way – mentally, emotionally and physically.
I’m not normally one for ‘instalove’ stories, but it works in Rubble. In a world where things can change drastically from one day to the next – where your psychopathic ex can run you out of town or a rival MC can rock up and wreak havoc – sometimes you’ve just got to live in the moment and jump in at the deep end, feet first. Instalove works in Jupiter and Rubble’s story, plus their chemistry is absolutely electric!
I haven’t read the previous two books in the series, but having read Rubble, I can confidently recommend the series to any romance fan who loves stories that are passionate, intense and fast-paced. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series!
I received a free copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.
I’ve been following the Macha MC series and this book was a great addition to it. Rubble had a tough childhood, joined the military after the Macha MC pulled him in, was an ex-MMA fighter and now finally he is settling in as the Enforcer for the Macha MC. At this point Rubble will stay single unlike some of his brothers because he just doesn’t trust women…until Jupiter walks into their club looking for a place to hide from her abusive soon to be ex-husband. The club helps her out with a job in the bakery and Rubble has taken it upon himself to protect Jupiter.
Will he finally find a woman he is willing to let into his life and will Jupiter’s ex show up to throw a wrench into everything she is finding within the Macha MC? I love the characters from this series and I’m really looking forward for more to come from this author.
Wow, another great story in this series. Rubble is the sergeant at arms and enforcer for the Macha MC. it is his job to make sure no trouble comes around the club. Jupiter is on the run and goes to her mothers old friend, who happens to be married to the president of the club. She is brought in to the club and given a job. Rubble cannot shake the feelings that she stirs in him. Finding a man is the last thing on Jupiter’s agenda, but Rubble sneaks in and makes a place for himself. When her past catches up to her, they must fight the danger that is threatening to tear them apart. This is a really great story. I am loving this club and the members.
To say I was excited to start this book is an understatement. Rubble has been a mystery figure since book 1 and I was really looking forward to who the goddess will pair him with. And what a woman she found. Jupiter was despite being on the run, a strong woman who was just starting to see her worth. Rubble was drawn to her from the first time he laid his eyes on her. He felt down to his bones that she deserved nothing less than being worshiped and he was the only man for the job.
I loved her way of trying to protect Rubble and his beloved MC. They helped her see what life with a loving partner and friends should look like and when she's pushed to her limits, she will do everything in her power to make sure she gets her HEA with Rubble.
I've said once MC romance is really not my jam but good God in heaven it would see that I've been missing out - A LOT!!!

This is a hot one, from running from an abusive husband and finding the love of your life all while the town is in neck deep with tourists. But they survived and neither one thought they could habe kids and guess Macau answered their prayers and eants. HEA! YA!!
I am a novice reader when it comes to MC romance, having dabbled mainly in what my MC-loving friends like to call "MC Light" romance novels. That being said, I find myself more and more drawn to this rebellious group of heroes who live life by their own rules and bow down to no one...no one, that is, except their women. While MC romance is dominated by alpha heroes, the women are no meek lightweights eager to please. They stand toe to toe with their men, making their voices heard and showing they can protect themselves. I really liked the way the author wrote the hero and heroine in this story in particular, given the emphasis around the heroine's past history of domestic abuse by her husband. Where some may feel broken by this mistreatment, she demonstrates a strength and endurance anyone can envy. The hero was her protector, but in the end, she saved herself in more ways than one. You go, girl!
Kassian "Rubble" Hardy has never trusted women. Orphaned and thrown into the foster system, he was abused by women throughout his childhood, and he would have probably been in jail before long if it weren't for the President of the Macha MC pulling him out of a bad situation. Joining the Marines, he learned discipline, honor and loyalty, and he took that back with him when he became the club's sergeant at arms. He protects his family, which includes the old ladies of his brothers as well as anyone who comes under their protection. Which lately happens to be a vulnerable yet determined woman named Jupiter Quinn. Jupiter is in hiding from her abusive husband and seeks sanctuary at the club. She's given a job at the bakery, a new hair color to disguise her appearance, and a room to herself. The last thing she's looking for is another man to run her life, but she has a hard time staying away from Rubble, who is determined to protect her. For a man who never thought he could trust or love a woman, Jupiter may be proving Rubble wrong in the best way.
I really loved the chemistry between Jupiter and Rubble - it was steamy from the first moment they laid eyes on each other. Jupiter was nervous at first around the large tatted man who could clearly hold his own in a fighting ring, but all Rubble saw was a young woman with secrets who may be a danger to the club but also someone worth saving. Rubble did take a bit of time through the book to let go of his sex drive to focus on Jupiter, which may be surprising to some readers who aren't used to the MC lifestyle. He make use of the club "nymphs" as they are called, once at the start of the book before meeting Jupiter and once later on after he meets Jupiter. However, once he realizes she's the only one for him, he focuses all his attention on her and keeps it in his pants with other women, which I appreciated. I was worried at first that Jupiter would be too nervous to get involved with him, but Rubble was such a protective sweetheart with her, it was clear they wouldn't be able to keep their hands to themselves for long. He made sure she was comfortable with everything that happened between them, and she put her trust in him. It was really a strong relationship, and it made me tear up a few times to see how much they loved each other.
I am definitely going to be reading more in this series and by this author! Enjoyed the characters and the drama so much, I was able to finish in a few hours. Couldn't put it down.
**I received a free copy from the author and this is my honest review.**
This is book three in the Macha MC series and while you could technically read this one as a stand alone, I highly, highly recommend that you read the previous two first. The characters are a continuation, but the story is fresh, and not directly related to the previous books. No matter where you start, you will want more!
This book gives us Rubble and Jupiter and all of our previous friends (Kevlar, Nikita, Dolly just to name a few) in the middle of their festival and of course danger. Macha does not abide by harming women and this one gives us a jerk of a character that is harming Jupiter in more ways than one...Rubble is a bachelor through and through and has no desire to tie himself down...or does he?!?
This one will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next...will Rubble fall in love? Will Jupiter stay? Will the bad guys find her? Be prepared for a roller coaster ride filled with loops, curves, twists and turns that you just don't see coming!
This may be my newest favorite by author Skye McNeil - or at least until she writes her next one!! A must read and a must read NOW! Move this one straight up to the top of your TBR list and don't hesitate to one-click the previous books because you will NEED them, not want them, but NEED them in your life!

This is the third book in this series. I think they are better read in order. Rubble doesn’t trust easily especially women. They always seem to bring trouble. Jupiter doesn’t trust men easily romantic or not. She is on the run from her husband. She has filed for divorce already but he isn’t ready to let her go. She has contacted Queenie hoping to be able to get some help. A place to lay low for a bit. It only took one look. Rubble is curious about her and what she is going through. At first to protect the club and then because she is meant to be his. Jupiter is skeptical if things with Rubble and Macha will last. Could they really be that nice and care about women that much? Will Rubble and Macha be able to protect Jupiter when her husband comes looking for her? I love this book. Jupiter manages to get under Rubble’s skin without doing anything really. She is puzzle he wants to solve at first then he begins to feel for her. Rubble is a great guy but the only woman who has ever cared about him was Queenie and that didn’t happen till he was almost an adult. He sees the way his brothers are with their women and doesn’t think that will even happen for him. Then Jupiter appears. Skye is a great author. I love this series. I look forward to reading the next book when it comes out. Great job Skye.
Yep. This was another story in one of my fave MCs. I really tried to put it down and get some sleep but just couldn't do it -- had to read to THE END. And it was worth the lack of sleep for sure.
Rubble used to be an MMA fighter and still dabbles. You can see where the name comes in. He isn't a dater. Women have their uses but as the club enforcer, he's seen too much stuff they bring with them. That is until the Prez's ole lady offers a safe haven for a friend in trouble. One look at her and he's in trouble himself.
In Macha, women are protected and loved. No one touches them in anger or without their permission. She has the marks to prove the man or men in her life didn't respect or care for her. A job he plans to take on.
The characters are unforgettable, loyal, strong, and hot. If you've read the other two books in the series you enjoy their banter even more although this can be read as a stand-alone. (Warning you are probably gonna want to read more if you haven't read the rest of the series) Strong, hot, sometimes tender, protective guys and women gaining strength and self-love as well as trust in the men of Macha--oh yeah and boiler-room steamy. Not to miss MC book. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On

Rubble is the third book in the Macha MC series written by author Skye McNeil and can be read as a standalone biker romance. It was the first book that I’ve read in the series, and I had no trouble following along. However, if you enjoy knowing all of the backstories, you may want to read the books in chronological order. Just know it’s not necessary to understand the storyline.
Rubble tells the story of Jupiter Quinn and Kassian “Rubble” Hardy, and their story is full of drama, suspense and has some great sex scenes. Jupiter is on the run and needs protection, so she calls up Queenie for help. Rubble is the club’s sergeant at arms, and he’s very curious about Jupiter. So, he begins to investigate, thinking that she’ll bring trouble to the club. However, he quickly becomes attracted to her and becomes very protective.
Rubble was such a great story, and I definitely recommend adding it to your TBR list!
As I reader, I appreciate an author who puts time and effort into creating a world that I can vividly imagine. The world of the Macha MC is so complete that I felt as if I were an observer, and I loved that. The characters are multifaceted and interesting, each distinct with their own personalities and voices. That made it very easy to become emotionally invested in them.
One of the things I loved the most was how Jupiter and Rubble’s relationship developed. It wasn’t born solely from physical attraction. That was there, of course, but there is so much more to them. Which is why their “instalove” worked, which is something I usually HATE in a romance novel. With the suspense aspects of the novel throwing lives into dangerous chaos, there was a feeling that sometimes you just have to live in the moment because you just don’t what moment might turn out to be your last.
Rubble is a former MMA fighter who had a rough childhood, and it did some damage. He's found a home with the Macha MC as the enforcer, but he still has trust issues when it comes to women. Juniper walks into his MC needing help to hide from her abusive husband as she waits for the divorce, and it sends Rubble's world into chaos. He wasn't about to get tied down to any woman, but there's something about Juniper that calls to him on a deeper level despite all the denial LOL! Things have taken a turn in the right direction between the two of them when her past comes for her. Here's the thing about abusive partners, they never will accept breakups, so her ex comes for her, so will Rubble be able to keep her safe?! I LOVE this series so much, and since I finished Rubble in one sitting, now I'm impatiently waiting on more so you don't want to pass this story up! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Rubble is Macha MC through and through. He lives and breathes the MC. As the enforcer he has no time for women. In his experience they are nothing but trouble. That was until Jupiter Quinn crashed into his world.
Jupiter Quinn just needs too hide until her divorce is final. Then she will be free to start over. When her friend Queenie offers her shelter in the MC, she counts her blessings. She won’t stay long, as it is safer to keep on the move. But her whole world changes and she soon discovers life has a new plan in store for her.
Overall this book was a great read, a real page turner. I have to warn you, it does have some triggers and sensitive subjects. It is full of great, strong characters. There is danger, heat and love. The author truly laid out the story perfectly, with a flawless delivery. Can’t wait to read more from the MC.
Woman leaves abusive man. Man hunts abused woman. Woman finds safety in a biker club? Yes, but so much more!
Jupiter is not the typical damsel in distress. She’s smart, tough, and she knows what she wants. There isn’t any hesitation in her desire to get away a start life anew. Rubble is a no-nonsense, “women are trouble” kind of man. His loyalty is to his club and he won’t let anyone, no matter how gorgeous they are, bring problems to the Macha. Soon, protecting Jupiter is how Rubble will protect the Club, and open his heart to how good woman trouble can be.
The ending had some great surprises. Even though I have read the previous books, I do like how this was able to be read as a stand-alone. The secondary characters always have just enough to bring them to life while keeping them secondary to the main characters.
Loved it! I've volunteered to review this for United Indie Book Blog. Rubble is the third book in the Macha MC series. This story is about Rubble and Jupiter. Rubble is the Enforcer for the Macha MC. Juniper is on the run from an abusive relationship and comes to Queenie in her time of need. Rubble is the SAA and enforcer for the Macha MC and he takes an interest in Juniper just because she’s asking for help. Once he sees her it’s all over from there. The club helps her out by setting her up in the bakery but Rubble takes it upon himself to be her protector. Will Rubble stick to his bachelor ways? Will Juniper take a chance on another man?
Wow. I absolutely loved this book. It had everything I wanted. I loved the dynamic of this book. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loves Rubble and Jupiter together, they both give each other something. Rubble had trust problems from his childhood but Jupiter helped him with his trust. Jupiter came to Snowshoe to find safety from her horrible past. Rubble helps her along with them falling in love.
The previous book in the series was always going to be hard to beat, but just because for me personally it just fell short, it doesn't make this book any less special. Especially with two characters who have both been through hell and back so deserve a happily ever after, but do they manage to get it? Highly recommend that you read this page turning series to find out.
Rubble and Jupiter both had a horrible beginning in life. Rubble was physically abused foster child. Jupiter was involved in a sexual abusive relationship with her ex husband. The novel was inspired and heartbreaking, it also included other Mach MC members.
Macha MC is trying to keep Queenie's friend safe from an abusive soon to be ex-husband. Jupiter is drawn to Rubble because of his strength and protectiveness. She is fun loving and brings much needed light to him. It is always good to visit with the brotherhood of the Macha MC.
This was my favorite Macha MC book this far. Lots of action and suspense with plenty of spicy good stuff. Rubble and Jupiter are amazing characters and you really get their connection. An overall awesome read!
this was a great fast read. i love how the mc actually treats their women with respect and not like trash. even the club girls are treated well. this was a nice surprise compared to most mc books out there. 4.5 stars
In ‘Rubble’ we read the story of Jupiter Quinn. Jupiter is on the run from an abusive husband, and has been for awhile now. Her life has been horrific, and she is really scared her husband will find her. Her one last hope is contacting an old family friend. Soon Jupiter finds help in an MC club. What she didn’t expect was to find Rubble. Rubble is an ex MMA fighter, and has devoted his life at the club. He doesn’t do relationships. But from the moment Rubble meets Jupiter, he wants to keep her safe. And soon he realizes Jupiter is the one he want to fight for.
I was a bit afraid that this book wouldn’t work for me, since it was the third book. But luckily, this wasn’t a problem at all. Sure, I didn’t know some of the side characters, but the author explained enough to understand the relationships. And ‘Rubble’ was definitely a fun read.
I loved Jupiter and Rubble together. Jupiter really needed someone to take care of her. And not in a woman-needs-a-man kind of way, but she really needed to feel safe with someone again. And Rubble made her feel safe. Jupiter really wanted to get her life back, and she did what she had to, to get to that point. Rubble’s character was a little harder for me to love from the start, she he really was a bit to crude for me, but in the end I definitely enjoyed reading about him.
The one problem I had with this book was the “nymphs”. Women who are used to take care of the MC guys “needs”?! This is probably how things work in the MC world, but this really bothered me. Unfortunately it bothered me enough to make it a bit hard for me to continue with this read. But in the end the romance was fun enough to keep me going.
And I’m definitely interested in seeing what happens in the rest of the books in this series.
