What happens when airport security is emptying your bag and you remember the knife hidden in the side pocket is not the worst thing you have stashed? Morgan OBrien provides a backstage pass to his life transitioning from professional musical theater performer to full-time travel vlogger. His hilarious and relatable stories take us all the way from the wide streets of NYC to the narrow streets of Jerusalem, onboard cruise ships, and to other popular (and not so popular) tourist destinations in between. Along the way, we encounter spying roommates, angry duty free sales associates, cruise ship hospitals, stoned movie stars, body guards, botoxed babes, bare-butt beaches, and extremely challenging bathroom situations! Dripping with sarcasm, it's a perfect quick read for an afternoon beside the pool on the sun lounger you reserved with your towel at 6am this morning.
I didn't take the time to review this when I first read it but had a flight but no other books in progress. I'm glad I did because it was as much fun as the first time!
Morgan is a natural storyteller, in written form as well as in his YouTube videos. He keeps the pace moving and has had some interesting experiences! I'm honestly hoping he writes another. From his YouTube channels, I know he has more stories to tell!
Morgan is pretty funny. If you have time watch some of his YouTube videos. Actually watch them ALL. There are videos on a range of topics. These were some good ones. The Cone Lady has a nice following, as other funny people.
Been following Morgan on YouTube for a few years now. Always used his advice on my cruises! I’m so glad he wrote this book. It was amazing reading more details about his life and travel stories!!!’ I can’t wait for the next one!
Light and fun read. I love Morgan’s sense of humor and sarcasm. He seems like he would make a great friend. If you follow his YouTube, you already know this is who he is.
I’ve been watching Morgan on his Very Unofficial Travel Guide YouTube channel since being blessed with Coronial Times, but surely wish that I had found him sooner. He is witty, expressive, fun, while being both caring and snarky when delivering his stories and presentations on his travels. This book did not disappoint! Whether you know of him or not, this book is a great chuckle of a read. Hoping there will be a follow up book. I need more stories!
A short, 96-page, fast, easy read about the author's life and how he got to have a popular YouTube travel channel. I enjoyed watching the collaboration video he had with Emma Cruises. The Kindle version of this book has a lot of punctuation errors, which I found annoying. Perhaps an editor would have been helpful with this independently published book. The overall tone of the book is written like the author is talking with you over a beverage. This is a storytelling publication about the author's life experiences and journey.
