After the passing of her parents and a messy breakup with her now ex-fiancé, twenty-year-old Kamryn Arliss finds herself living on the corner of a busy street in San Francisco. She’s hungry, terribly thirsty, and she’s running out of motivation, but when she finally gains the courage to meet the gaze of the handsome man who glances at her each day, things may just get a little easier.

Decker Shepley’s main goal is one thing and one thing only: redemption. On his trek to and from work every day, he can’t help but notice the pretty girl with dirt-ridden skin that’s been staying outside his apartment. Although he has no idea who she is or why she’s there, something strange pulls him towards her, and it’s not long before he takes her in. He knows he can’t change his past, but if loving her with all he has is what it takes to redeem himself, then that’s what he’ll do.

Their inevitable connection grows by the day, but Decker hasn’t told Kamryn the entirety of his past, and by the time they realize they may be more tied together than they originally thought, the damage has already been done. The most unlikely and unfortunate circumstances surround their relationship, and it’s impossible for anyone to come out unscathed. Determined to be happy but destined to be heartbroken, Kamryn is faced with a choice— the past or the future?

4 STARS. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH.
[ received an arc for this wonderful book and i have a lot to say ]

kamryn and decker have my heart. such a beautiful portray of love and forgiveness.

“i want you to know that you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said. “and you have no idea how scared i am of losing you.”

events after events, life leads to the worst & kamryn's world falls apart. and just like that she finds herself on streets with no food and shelter. but decker, a gentleman at heart finds her outside his apartment and decides to help her. decker's only goal in life is redemption- lead by a terrible event in past. as the story goes on, the secrets are revealed— enough to rip your heart out of your chest and heal it again.
[ it has a happy ending. ]

-dual pov, strangers-to-lovers, he falls first/boy-obsessed trope, hea, fast-paced book.

i went through a lot of emotions while reading this book, that plot twist and that particular 'incident' at the end still haunts me. but that's ok because i got the ending i needed and kam and deck were happy.

kamryn deserves the world, she deserves to be loved like crazy. and most of all, she deserves someone like decker. this book healed my heart and i will always recommend it.

the book was fast paced, and easy to read— which worked all too well in my favour because i was looking for exactly that.

one of the things i absolutely loved about this book is decker's pov. yes i will never say no to the male lead's pov. decker was crazy about her and it was so wholesome. watching him fall for kamryn at her worst made my expectations and standards sky-rocket like crazy. we all need a decker in our life.

beautifully written. i loved how the book ended with 'i am home', and then i realized why the book is called 'home'. i was smiling like a fool, no lies. i will never stop recommending this book, go read it.

***** Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. *****

I started the year 2023 in the best way, I couldn't put this book down. A captivating story, with interesting characters, whom you can't help but love. Human characters, with flaws and qualities, who make mistakes and accept their mistakes. I liked the story, the fact that it is dual POV, and the ending. I did not want it to end, as if it ended too quickly...

Please don't stop writing, you're made for that.
Thank you Trinity for trusting me with your work!!

firstly thank you to @trinitylemmauthor for sending me this arc!!

I really enjoyed this one, it was so sweet to read about decker and kamryn and their love story. The story was so heartwarming and I loved reading about what happened that led up to the present day!

It was easily predictable but still sweet! I did however think the ending was a little rushed, I'm not the biggest fan of how it ended but it was definitely an emotional read and I teared up.

3.75 stars!! This for sure made me feel different emotions! My heart breaks for Kam & for Decker. I like that this was all about learning to love & learning to forgive, even when both are difficult to do sometimes. I did sort of saw the plot twist coming! But I enjoyed this story!

Home is a beautiful, emotional love story.

Decker and Kamryn were so cute. I loved them from the get-go. I love how Decker was with her. I loved watching them fall in love, & Kamryn get her life back.

I loved her journey. She had been through so much and she deserved to finally have some light in her life. And that’s what Decker was for her.

These two were so perfect together. It really felt like they were fated but, turns out, fate was a bitch. And she broke both characters. And me, if I’m being honest. I cried a lot for a while there, even though I saw that plotwist coming since the very first clue. It still hit, especially when it all came to a blow. My heart hurt so much for both characters. They were both so heartbroken, so sad. It honestly hurt to read.

But this book showed us how you can make an awful mistake and still turn your life around, become a better person. And how you can choose to forgive someone. It was a beautiful, heart-wrenching journey but these two made it worth it. And they deserved a happy ending.

Okay admittedly, this book struggled to pull me in for a while while at the same time I was low key intrigued.

But I probably cried the entire last 30% 😅 so I give mad props for the emotions it invoked in me.

A beautiful story about love, loss & most importantly FORGIVENESS.

It was predictable but I don’t always mind that.
& I don’t typically read romances where the hero is an absolute cinnamon roll but he really was. He was so good to her and his heart was full of so much love.

& it had a sweet ending. 💕

If you love sappy emotional romances, then you will enjoy this one!!

This story was so heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. My heart ached so deeply for Kam and everything she went through. I can’t even imagine the pain she was feeling.

On the other hand, Kam and Decker’s relationship had my heart SOARING! At first I thought it all seemed a little fast, but as the story progressed the way they genuinely connected with each other and loved each other so deeply made it all feel so unfeigned.

I really appreciate the outlook on grief and forgiveness in this book. It was truly so much more than a romance story. This was a story of loss, strength, and the ability to find a light even in a dark time. The twist was obvious to me in the beginning, but the way Trinity progressed the story and was still able to include surprises (both good and bad), was really refreshing considering it’s hard to do that with obvious storylines sometimes.

Also the overall idea of home being a person instead of a place is one of my all time favorite things, and I loved the way Trinity executed it throughout the book. Kam and Decker’s relationship will surely hold a special place in my heart!

Home was my very first ARC and I’m so grateful to have been given this opportunity. Thank you so much to Trinity, I’m forever grateful. Please go and check out this book if you’re interested! It’s available on KU, Amazon, and Trinity’s website <3

“A shocking contrast between love and hate.”

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

Home is my introductory novel to Trinity Lemm and it certainly won’t be the last. It follows the story of Kamryn and Decker, two young adults, who meet in unforeseen circumstances and develop such a strong bond only to be thrown into a wild twist of love and forgiveness. Life/destiny throws them such a curve ball that it leaves you heartbroken, analyzing how such a twist of events could end in a happy ending. I was hurting for them, rooting for them, holding on to hope as I kept reflecting on how I would even handle such events if it was myself in their shoes. A story that pulls at your heartstrings and keeps you turning the page.

Loved the dual POVs in this book, especially Decker’s. It was so important to understand the story events. This novel is such a good contrast between love and forgiveness and how life is never as simple as black and white.

“Everyone had things about their past that shaped them into the person they were. And everyone had things about their past that they weren’t proud of—things that were better off left in the past.”

“No more obsessing over the past. It’s time for redemption and redemption starts with loving her.”

This story was so well told. I’m not a huge fan of instalove necessarily, and it’s a shock that a 22 year old man would take in a girl off the street, but it played out well and I loved the drama of their story. I was drawn in by Kam. She has such a determination, and passion that I could relate to well. Decker was a dream, but the plot twist around the ending of the book took me by surprise. I didn’t think that was what his big secret was, and i’m usually good at figuring it out, but this took me by complete surprise. This is my first read by Trinity and I adored her short chapters and writing style. I felt all of the emotions with this read, and i couldn’t put it down once I reached about the middle of the book! I highly recommend checking this one out if you’re a fan of strangers to lovers, instalove, or romantic drama!

it shouldn’t, but it still shocks me that Lemm creates masterpieces at such a young age. I devoured this book from start to finish. Falling in love with both main characters from the very first meeting. With hints of suspicion throughout, this book is one that’s almost impossible to put down. Decker is a dreamboat, even with the mistakes he’s made and Kamryn is the type of heroine that you fall in love with within mere chapters. After Kam is left homeless due to a horrible past, Decker is quick to help her form her life back but after secrets become unravelled, it seems impossible that their love will last. The secondary characters in this are so good too; I love the type of friends in novels that bring you so much comfort. Lemm has truly done it again, and I am absolutely obsessed. I cried and laughed along with these characters and I cannot recommend it enough.

‘The same girl you ruined, was about to ruin you. How poetic?’

oh my god, i had no expectations going into this book, but wow! didn't disappoint at all!! i haven't read a lot of books with "strangers to lovers" trope, but i can tell that this book is currently one of my favorites! i absolutely adore the author's writing style; something about it made me want to keep reading the book and its chapters were short!!! which i always love in books!

kam and decker were beautiful. i was giggling and smiling throughout the entire 70% of the book because of how lovely they were, but i had a gut feeling that something was about to happen, and it did. for the rest of book, i cried. it was a beautiful story of love, loss, sorrow, and forgiveness.

definitely recommended everyone to try this book out!

huge thank you to the author for giving me this opportunity!!! so grateful i was able to receive this arc 🤍

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you, Trinity!*

3.75!
I read this book in one day, it was fast paced and filled with so many different emotions! Once it got going, I loved where the story took me, particularly in getting to know the characters. Although I felt like one aspect of the book was predictable, I still wasn't prepared for the ending. This book definitely wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but I felt satisfied in the end--I appreciated the fact that the trauma of the characters didn't overpower their romance.

Also, a really specific comment--I felt the story itself was self-contained, and any characters who were mentioned in the dialogue were brought up another time in the book and explained (which I feel I don't often in short romance novels).

This book is a great for a fast paced read that will make you feel all the feels.

Wow Trinity! You definitely know how to pull on my heartstrings. Home may have been an emotional read but in the long run it was a sweet novel that goes to show when times get rough don't give up. That the sun will shine again.

Our FMC Kamryn, aka Kam, has had a rough few years. First, her parents tragically pasted away on New Year's Eve. Then a FEW MONTHS before her wedding she finds out her fiancé has knocked up another woman. He was her best friend and her rock, and this destroyed her. So, she packed a bag and left immediately. Now, here she is living on the streets at only 20 years old. Day after day she gets through it and just keeps hoping things will get better.

Now, Decker has had a privileged life. He lives every day to the fullest even though he lives with the guilt of his past. Every day on the way to work he passes Kam and feels this pull to her. So, he starts to leave food for her, then a blanket, then finally when a massive storm comes, he brings her inside his apartment and offers her a place to stay. They both feel the pull to one another but are hesitant to act out on those feelings. He protects her and takes care of her like no other. Eventually, they make things official and become one of the cutest couples. But there's still one secret that can destroy everything.

This story has taken me on an emotion rollercoaster that broke my heart and healed it again. The tears I've shed for this book are unreal. Thank you Trinity for ARC copy of Home. The title for this story fits perfect. A home is not a place but where the people who love you are. A place where you feel safe and comfort no matter what. I am truly honored and blessed to be able to be one of your readers thank you!

So I pretty much read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. This was SUCH a beautiful story!! This book follows Kamryn, who is homeless, and Decker. They don’t know each other, but her whole life changes when he decides to take her in and help her. Not only did this book provide me a raw but necessary outlook on what it’s like to be a homeless person, but it’s also beautiful in terms of Decker offering her his help. I will never look at homeless people that I see the same way again. This is exactly the type of book that makes you really think about life and changes you for the better, and it was absolutely beautiful. For recommending purposes, I would definitely describe this as sort of a mashup between It Ends With Us and November 9(more so It Ends With Us-also with no Ben because he sucks lol. These were just the vibes that I got from the book, but of course it was still unique too!) so if you liked either of those books, I would especially recommend this to you, but I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you SO MUCH to the author @trinitylemmauthor for the ARC! This comes out in January!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the chance to read this new book by Trinity Lemm as one of the first due to an arc i got from her. And i loved it from the beginning 'till the end. It's a fast burn romance story with a stragers to lovers trope. There's love at first sight, romance, spice, friendship, family, drama, humor, sadness, ... In this story, it has it all. Themes like loss of loved ones, grief, forgiveness, tragic accident, are used too in this book, so beware of triggers... It's very fast paced and the writing style is great, just like in her other books. There's great worldbuilding, character development and memory descriptions. The book has short chapters, what i like very much in a book. It's a sweet romance story with soulmates, who'd do anything for eachother no matter what. during reading i had many different emotions, sadness, shock, happiness and the book was unpredictable. I'm really honoured that i could read this book! Thank you very much miss Lemm for this opportunity!

This book was so sweet but also provoked so many emotions and ripped out my heart.

Kamryn and Decker relationship is such a sweet romance. Kamryn has had a rough hand dealt for her, but she catches a break when a sweet guy takes interest in her well-being and as a person. Decker is the MMC who has secrets but is trying to be the best person he can now be. We watch the couple grow together and heal, but not fully trusting. I loved seeing a realistic part of relationships where they are strangers who meet and grow to love one another, but when do you decide to trust the other fully with our deepest secrets, shames, or devastations?

Some of the plot twists were predictable, but I still loved to see how the characters responded and grew from each trial. I was smiling through much of the book but also heartbroken for a bit at the end. I wish I knew more after the last twist at the end of the book.

Love never comes comes easy or without sacrifice. Coincidences? There are no coincidences. Sayings like these may seem trite or unbelievable to some people, but author Trinity Lemm sends another message to readers of her memorable novel "Home."

Unsure what to expect from a young author, I eagerly started reading a preview. Barely two pages into the book, I knew I had to give this one a chance, and boy, am I glad I did. Complex doesn't begin to describe the plot, and realistic is a weak description of the characters. The ending was possibly predictable, but oh so perfect and and amazing. The vocabulary and descriptions throughout made every character come to life with stunning reality. I simply had a hard time putting the book down.

This is a book that will stay with you long after the last word. It's a book to share. A book to recommend. I'm glad I found it, happy I read it, and thrilled to recommend it to you!

I love diving into a book knowing very little.
Kamryn and Decker’s story is not what I was expecting in the slightest. Kamryn is down on her luck after losing her parents, her fiancé, and her home. Decker is trying to rebuild his own life when he meets Kam and their spark is instantaneous. They quickly fall in love and they had a lot of really cute, funny moments that made it so easy to root for them. But they both have some pain they aren’t ready to discuss early on in the relationship and I was turning the pages so fast to figure it out. But Kam and Decker truly had to fight for their happily ever after and the last half of this book really picks up pace with twists and turns. And the very last couple chapters really just hit all the feels. I love a dual POV book and this was no different as I loved getting to see how Kam and Decker were each processing their own traumas. I genuinely can’t imagine dealing with the things they dealt with but with love anything is possible. This is a powerful book about love and forgiveness, and I’m so happy to have read Kam and Decker’s story!

Home is a book that will have your emotional heart string pulled taunt. This story highlights the lives of Decker Shepley and Kamryn Arliss and the connections of their young lives. This book leaks trigger warnings including death , power , trust and imprisonment. Decker is a troubled young man with a generous heart . He notices a homeless woman outside his building and drops food to her . During a storm he invites her into his home . Kamryn and Decker have a gentle relationship and they fall in love . Decker is hiding a secret that is unknowingly connected to Kamryn . Some of the conversations are immature and Decker obsessive behaviour could be considered challenging. The book later reveals the reason for his needy interactions. A teary ending completes this story and there is hope for redemption.

Kamryn finds herself homeless and a stranger starts leaving her food, covering her with blankets and worrying about her even though he doesn't know her. After she meets his eyes things become a little easier for her.

Derek wants redemption for a mistake made long ago. He takes her in and they have a inevitable connection but the thing that has broken them both could also destroy their love. Will love conquer all or will it tear their love apart?

I really enjoyed this book! It follows the romance between Kamryn and Decker. Kamryn has gone through some traumatic events and ends up homeless with no where to go. Decker meets her outside of his apartment building and helps her by letting her stay with him for awhile. They quickly form a very strong connection and their relationship develops from there. This was a very emotional story that was super interesting! I was not able to put this book down because i really wanted to find out what happened in decker’s past.

I could not put this book down! I was up until 2am, determined to finish it and it did not disappoint.

I loved this book, from the beautiful cover to the plot of the story.

Something I tend to look for in a novel is connection. I need to feel connected to the characters to the point I’m feeling all the emotions and this book 100% fulfilled that. It was heartwarming and sweet but it was also heartbreaking.

I 100% recommend this book.

Let me tell you that I struggled with this book. But not for a bad reason. I was so in love with Trinity's characters from her last series it took me a long time to invest in Kam and Decker. But once I did they had a hold on me. I was holding my breath at the ending literally shaking and praying the book wouldn't end the way I thought it would. No spoilers so you will have to read to see. But if you know you know why I am crying right now. Kam and Decker are what true love is and should be.

This was a nice slow burn. Kamryn and Decker are drawn to one another from the start and after Decker invited Kam in, they were inseparable. Although you kind of seen where this story was heading there were still a few surprises thrown in. The character building was great, and I loved how Kam and Deckers relationship just flowed so naturally. Overall, I loved the story and characters. Only issue I had was how abruptly it just ended. I would have loved a little peak into their future.
