It'd been a long time since I visited with Janelle and Mr. Bixby, so I was happy to get back to this series. This time the ghost dog was a big Australian Shepherd who Janelle was having a little trouble communicating with and figuring out just what his story was.

I always love reading about this snarky yet adorable dachshund (he does kinda steal the show sometimes lol but in a good way) and his love/hate relationship with Renata's formerly-a-ghost dog Bijou. Bijou cracks me up when she's so excited she repeats stuff. I can just picture her on her hind legs dancing around, lol. The showdown was a good one, and toward the end, Janelle and her family got a big and unexpected surprise. Can't wait to borrow the next book in KU!

I really enjoyed this new entry into the paranormal series by Ellen Riggs. While a spin off of her Bought the Farm series (which you should definitely check out), it stands on it's own very nicely. Janelle Brighton has reluctantly returned to her home town, and she is doing her best to open her dream shop on Main Street: a boutique shop of unusual jewelry and featuring handmade specialty items. Her posse is rounded out with two former ghost dogs that Janelle has brought back through her unique gifts. The book takes off when the properitor of the bakery/coffee shop next door is murdered. Then a third dog, who is still a ghost, appears in Janny's still unopened store and literally stirs up a whirlwind. Janelle and crew set out to find her cousin who has been missing for decades, especially when it turns out the newest ghost dog has a tie to her. It is a fascinating and fun thrill ride from start to finish, and I definitely recommend reading it after you have picked up and read book one. I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

The paranormal genre isn’t my favorite, but I’m loving the Mystic Mutt Mysteries. This book kept me flipping the pages so I could see what Janelle and Mr. Bixby would encounter next. If you read the previous books about them, you know Janelle brought Mr. Bixby back to life and they can communicate with each other. They have some fun banter that I enjoy reading about. Of course, I love the mystery aspect of this series too. When another murder occurs, Janelle and Mr. Bixby work together to solve the mystery. Also, in this book, we learn more about Renata and Bijou, the poodle-cross that Janelle brought back and now lives with Ren. Then, there’s Sinda, the creator of all the animal jewelry that will be sold at Whimsy. When another ghost dog appears, Janelle wonders if she be able to bring Harold (Harry) back. Grab your copy of this thrilling read and see what happens. You won’t believe who Harry belongs to. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Good

Janelle is just getting ready to open her new store, when another ghostly canine arrives, only this one isn’t talking. It’s not long before there is another death, and Janelle and Ren end up being accused by the not-so-welcoming committee in town.
Fortunately, there’s Mr. Bixby, Bijou, and the new ghost to help them clear their names!

Another enjoyable haunting in Wyldwood Springs, this one reveals a few family secrets for Janelle; and it becomes obvious that Keats isn’t the only smart Sheepdog around (he’s the star of the Bought the Farm mysteries).
Alas, Oscar Knight didn’t get his comeuppance as yet, but the Brighton family is definitely working on it!

This one is a fun, cosy paranormal mystery, with some delightful furry friends, and just a little magic!
Recommended for fans of the genre, dog fans, and fans of the author’s other series!

This is an interesting cozy mystery. A shop owner is killed and a ghost dog is made alive. Liberty is brought back from a spell.
I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Janelle recently moved back to Wyldwood Springs and opened a shop called Whimsy. She’s discovered that she has a unique ability to see ghost dogs and bring them back! The first is a sassy dachshund named Mr. Bixby! Her friends Senda and REN have opened a new coffee and bake shop, but Mitzy, owner of the other coffee shop in town, accuses then of stealing all her business. When she’s discovered dead, Ren is a suspect. But strange things are going on around town, along with a lot of missing memories! Can they solve the murder and mystery? Great story. I received a free copy of this book and write this review voluntarily.

If you enjoy cozy paranormal books with witches, ghosts, talking dogs, and pages upon pages of fun, this is the series for you. Ellen Riggs continues to write a good mystery that is packed with lots of snark and fun shenanigans and characters in the second book, "Any Way You Haunt It," a Mystic Mutt Mysteries.

You'll want to read the first book to get to know the characters and their roles as Ms. Riggs builds this mystical small town and populates it with quirky inhabitants. I highly recommend it!

Ellen Riggs' latest offering in the Mystic Mutts series is hauntingly good read. The second book in the series has Janelle and friends and canine cohorts trying desperately to stay one step ahead of the magical bad guys who seem to control her hometown of Wyldwood Springs. The action is fast paced and the prose are inviting, leading to a book that is best read in one sitting. If you like quirky characters and seat of the pants magic hijinks, you'll love this read.

The very talented Ellen Riggs has done it again! I have been waiting a long time for the next chapter in Janelle and Mr. Bixby’s story and it was well worth the wait. There is a new ghost dog in town that Janelle needs to help and lots of family drama.
Mr. Bixby’s phrase “magical flatulence” is still hilarious and I laughed out loud so many times as I was reading this story.
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

Any Way You Haunt It is a fast paced, twisty whodunit with magical elements. I am loving this series - especially the witty banter between Janelle and Mr. Bixby! This well written book has a lot of family drama, a new ghost dog, electrically charges expressos machines, lost memories, murder, store openings and more. Fearing Ren may be suspected of the murder, the whole gang steps into the murder investigation. I just had to put everything else aside and finish the book once I had begun reading.

This book certainly had some extra twists! I totally miss guessed who the new dog was going to be for at the beginning. Great twists and Janelle certainly needed her team on this one! Thanks for a great read, Ellen!

An entertaining mystery featuring ghost dogs! I find I don't like the snarkiness coming from Mr Bixby, but otherwise it's a good story.

A fun book

I truly love this series, but there seems to be a lot more witches than there are regular people, Still fun though.

What a whimsical, quirky, fun book. The characters are delightful, each in their own way. Especially the Brightons and the friends and dogs that Janelle considers family. If you've read the Bought the Farm books, you may remember Ivy Galloway's best friend, Jilly. Janelle and Jilly are actually cousins. Janelle is a new witch and Jilly is non magical.
If you enjoy cozy paranormal books with witches, talking dogs and pages upon pages of a fun read, this is the series for you. I highly recommend it!

I was given this book and voluntarily offered my honest review.
