From the title, one might imagine this series to be some sort of niche pornography. In actuality, it’s a fantasy adventure story from the author of Mushoku Tensei. It's both funny and well written, so it definitely has my recommendation.

Orc Eroica is the new light novel series by the same author of Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation). My first impression on both volumes (1-2) is that there should be an additional warning on the cover page: "Read this light novel series and a phychologist/psychiatrist will probably be required!".
This story is about a halfling (Human-Orc) that was a super respected hero of the Orc Tribe. Because Bash was only dedicated to his war efforts, Bash never married nor "sexually assaulted" any war prisoners (as it was Orc tradition). So this story, is not at all funny nor a parody, it is about the sexual frustrations of an almost mage Orc. (if an Orc is a virgin at 30 years of age, they gain mana/magical prowess and become mages within the Orcs).
So, the uncomfortable shyness, the impossibility to communicate with the opposite sex and the desire by Bash to lose his virginity, with a consensual relationship with another race/species. This is so sexually frustrating, as a reader, I feel the need to seek mental healing (for the author and main character, Bash).
Author closes all other possibilities for Bash to succeed in losing his virginity (going to a brothel, going to the breeding grounds of the Orcs, or engaging Orc females and settling down). This closed mindedness this impossible desire to achieve impossible goals is super frustrating to read. Not funny at all. I think the author urgently needs psychological/psychiatric therapy and even maybe a long stay at a mental institution.
Mushoku Tensei, Jobless Reincarnation is the story of a pervert-loser-wimp-NEET that never really improves, uses his second and third chance at life to statutory rape a series of local girls, incest rape a second cousin, be arrested for bestiality and a lot of other terrible ethical and criminal actions. Because both light novel series are directed toward minors, at least Mushoku Tensei, requires that the U.S., Canadian, Japanese (latin american) territories where it sells and promotes to minors, initiate a civil and penal process to arrest and condemn the author, the publisher and the anime producers for obscenity and promotion of crimes to minors (violating their Human Rights).
Volume 2 has 9 chapters and 160+ pages, illustrations, blank pages, cover pages, etc. I will not read any more of this series. It has little or no action or adventure, it is just a lot of sexual inadequacy, frustration and embarrassment.

Poor Bash. On the plus side, he will probably wind up saving the world
This is a good series. I like the protagonist as an "Honorable Orc Hero". And the comedy of errors that arises from the people who meet him fearing he's a typical orc brute are amusing.
I initially had misgivings that this orc would be some sort of incel stand in, but Bash puts himself out there, acts with as much decorum as he can, and isn't at all sour concerning women, so that really isn't the case.
Looking forward to book 3.

I gotta be honest, I wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I thought I would. It's not Konosuba humor with jokes flying everywhere, but situational humor the protagonist - Orc Guts - puts himself and everyone around him in. And the side characters are funny as well. I love this series for its absurdity and I need more of it. Help ME!!

This is a really funny fantasy story, and nothing like what you might imagine from the title and the cover.
