Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. The fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Clementine or Kim is a witch in a small town of humans and magical people. She lives across the street from her grandparents sushi only in the past year or so found out where her grandparents. She owns a home refurbishment company where she goes in and rehabs houses restores barns and turns them into homes etc. Along with her talking dog she goes about her daily life learning new magic and dealing with issues in the small town that come up. Her boyfriend wizard also helps her out on occasion along with her grandmother a witch and some of her grandmothers friends also witches who help investigate different mysteries and crimes around the town. They have a hillbilly sheriff that isn’t much good for anything other than eating donuts and having his feet up on his desk. The stories are always entertaining and go anywhere from a murder to crime just supernational mystery and back-and-forth. Always a fun and interesting read. Check them out
A Blue Ribbon Cheating, a Sprite, a Thief, & Revenge
A lot is going on in this read, too! There's about as many twists and turns as the previous book.
Clementine's grandma Malene enters an art contest, but uses special paints that upset Clem. Rufus is hot and a teacher. Three boys find an old book in a cave. A giant octopus is in a fountain that was full of what appeared to be urine. An invisible hungry sprite is wreaking havoc in flour. Lady continues to bark on four legs and two. A monstrous dog is furious and tired. And lastly - for now - Roberta is coming for all of you!
Like I said - lots going on!
So, about Roberta... she's a witch currently unavailable and seemingly upset with everyone. I assume the next book will explain what's got her tail in a knot. Next is book 10 - Hometown Magic.
My favorite and I read all her series ! This one has Mini long dachshund
Honestly even if Lady was not a dachshund but then she would not have that mouth on her lol still be my favorite series. Goid mystery the orbs are neat unique feature funny wacky small town characters good plot and mystery and with lead being female that remodels houses specializes in barn is icing on cake . also favorite villain turn good guy wizard from sweet tea witches is in this series.
I enjoyed this little story but not the ending. Over the past few books Ms. Boyles has added a last chapter that's mostly unrelated to the book in order to leave a cliffhanger ending as a prelude to the next book. I'm not fond of this type of thing. Aside from that I enjoyed the story. Clementine and Rufus are somewhat favorite characters so I enjoy reading the stories that involve them.
I'm this book, Clementine learns that some witches need help controlling their magic. She tries to convince Marlene to admit to cheating. She also learns that magic isn't infinite and must be recharged. I love how Amy Boyles writes characters with depth and issues. Clementine and Rufus have little spats like all couples.
Wow! A sprite... There is always something happening in that little town, and Clem, Rufus and co are always in the midst of it.
Plenty of laugh out loud moments, this is another book in this entertaining Magical Renovation Mysteries series that I recommend to those who love paranormal cosy mysteries.
Some crazy things are happening in Peachwood. Clem and Rufus (and Lady) have to figure it all out. And where did that exploding octopus come from? The story is cute. However, I skip entire paragraphs just to get back to the dialog. Way too much filler in this book.
I enjoy the magical renovation series because it's lighthearted. Good plots, clean humor, fun characters, each with their own little quirks. Arthur keeps adding new characters to the mix which keeps the storyline fresh.
Thank you for this particular book in the series. I'm not much of a writer myself so I will just day this! I LOVE AMY BOYLES' BOOKS! There. Plain & Simple! LOL!
I couldn’t put book down at all. Once you start reading You cannot stop. You get a clue early in the story. The storyline is So interesting you don’t want to stop reading.
This was a very entertaining read, Well developed characters and a well told story that grips you, will leave your wanting more. Great Reading Everyone!
