Over all I liked this book. There were problems however. The story was disjointed with many unnecessary scenes and characters. This is one book that could have benefited from more exposition. And I just gotta say again, too many unnecessary characters. I would like to continue the story but I hope the next one is more streamlined.

The following is Harsh but true.

I read the sample and liked it, so I bought the book. Ugh and fell into the "Great idea but no follow thru" trap...First I did not finish this story, too tired after slogging thru 3/4 of it...I gave up. For the following reasons. 1. No romance, No heat what so ever, nada, zip, Zero. One kiss and that was it???? 2. The story jumped around so much from character to character, it was impossible to follow. 3. Even at the 3/4 mark the backstory wasn't complete. 4. Way too many characters and most of the attention was on the MMC. You had no idea what the FMC was doing or thinking...one minute she was on one planet and the next chapter she was some place else with no explanation. ....No this was more like an old fashioned Harlequin want to be spy ...but written by Hallmark and gotta have more than 300 pages dollar store special. Rated PG due to some blood and violent scenes. No nudity or sex but ...OMG there is a scandalous mention of 2 women in a relationship..HaHa, seriously Save your money. Buy a candy bar, you'll get more enjoyment.

Great Story.

She promised she would see them again. I look forward to reading what happens then. Thane is left standing alone, not sure of his future or why he is out of sorts. It is obvious, so the story should continue.

Really enjoy this series, like both the female and male main characters, definitely recommend this if you enjoy:
* abit of romance to your scifi, not main focus
* abilities - not your average inherent gifts
* action, chase, double-crossing, and rescues
* secondary family involvements
* deaths- not afraid to have some SC (2ndary charac) die off

Try it, if you like, Tanya Huff's Torin Kerr, Valor series or K. B. Wagers, The Indranan War (3bk series), I really think this is for you.
If anyone has a series I might like after reading my review, let me know.

Btw, have read twice now!
