Jokes aside, it is refreshing to see independent female characters and important queer characters in a historical book like this. Every female character ( even side characters) in this book has a point instead of using “လင်ကို ဘုရား သားကိုသခင်” thingy and male characters were very respectful. I didn’t expect လကျ်ာဗိုလ် and နာရေနီ to be a thing but I am glad they were a thing. I was setting my expectations too low because my experience ( as a queer person) with Burmese books was not good. They always had sth to do with internal homophobia or misogyny. People in this books are very open-minded despite them being from 1740s.
Again, sayar Kaht Zaw didn’t disappoint.

ဒီစာအုပ်က သမိုင်းနောက်ခံပုံစံနဲ့ ရေးထားတဲ့ Fiction ဆို‌ပေမယ့် ဆရာခက်ဇော်စာရေးတဲ့ပုံစံက စာဖတ်သူအတွက် မပျင်းရစေဘဲ သမိုင်းကြောင်းကို ထိထိမိမိ ရေးထားတာလေးကို အရမ်းသဘောကျတယ်။ ဇာတ်က ‌‌ဇာတ်ဆောင်မင်းသားမင်းသမီး အကြောင်းကို အခြေခံထားတာကြီးမျိုးပဲမဟုတ်ပဲ မတူညီတဲ့ Characters မျိုးစုံကို develop လုပ်ထားတာမျိုးကို သဘောကျတယ်။ ကြယ် 🌟လေးလုံး။
