* Damn Mama Lwiza (idk if the spelling is right) you are so hot * gays yay
Jokes aside, it is refreshing to see independent female characters and important queer characters in a historical book like this. Every female character ( even side characters) in this book has a point instead of using “လင်ကို ဘုရား သားကိုသခင်” thingy and male characters were very respectful. I didn’t expect လကျ်ာဗိုလ် and နာရေနီ to be a thing but I am glad they were a thing. I was setting my expectations too low because my experience ( as a queer person) with Burmese books was not good. They always had sth to do with internal homophobia or misogyny. People in this books are very open-minded despite them being from 1740s. Again, sayar Kaht Zaw didn’t disappoint.
