"A wise person once said that solo parenting is twice the work, twice the stress and the tears, but it's also twice the hugs, twice the love and twice the price."
Quite interesting lines from the book SLEEPING LIKE A BABY by Himani Dalmia and Neha Bhatt are with reference to an example of women. This book is a guide for the beautiful journey a mother goes through after motherhood. It has a lot of tips and tricks about feeding, food, pampering, napping and much more, all related to the baby's upbringing.
With a lot of charts, tables, do's and don't this book is an incredible help for all the women. It is full of details and the logic behind everything mentioned there. Even the blurb says that the book serves as the ultimate bedside companion for parents, packed with the modern tools you need to build a stronger connection with your children and enable age-appropriate sleep for their optimum growth.
The book is happiness to all the mothers trying to deal successfully with motherhood or rather new parenthood. Indeed the fathers too can get it for themselves. Highly recommended.
Sleeping like a baby is an eye opener. As a new mom there are so many things that you have to get adept at that baby’s sleep is something that gets neglected. It was the fourth month regression that brought this to the forefront. This book helped me understand baby’s sleep and nap patterns, their wake windows and how an infant’s sleep is different than an adult’s and it has made a world of difference in my approach towards naps and nighttime sleep.
Haven’t we always heard this simile ‘ To sleep like a baby ‘ for ages now . Because when a baby sleeps it is deep, sound , calm and peaceful . It sometimes is the most important thing that one needs But how difficult it is to get them to sleep ? If you are a parent you know and if you are not you’d probably wonder if it a chore on its own .
I have had my share of experiences with it as you know ! There have been times when Abby would go to sleep in just few mins of hitting the bed and there have been other sleepless nights when she is cranky and throws a tantrum ! I have met fellow mothers who go through this too . We have had discussions in the past on how the sleep schedule of a baby affects the mother or any caregiver for that matter ! In this book , As the name suggests this book is about sleep solutions for babies, parenthood experiences and some great parenting tips for achieving long nights of interrupted sleep ! It talks about identify cues and playing alongside. This sure is a very useful book for parents and to-be-parents as the content in here is practical and well researched . It is also easy to understand and apply ! So I highly recommend it
After all well slept baby is a happy baby , isn’t it !
