I had no idea my life was about to be changed forever... After escaping an abusive relationship, Candy is ready to start her new life and finds herself caught between MC Club President Tarragon Header and his Enforcer, Fennel Bryant. She answers an online modeling ad—Wanted: curvy, tattooed, redhead for a biker magazine spread. Must be okay with leather. Candy’s ex had stomped on her heart and a few other parts of her body before leaving her a puddled mess on their bedroom floor and driving away on his Kawasaki.
She supposed that is what had drawn her to the ad—real bikers—real men. She had never expected a callback. After hearing Fennel Bryant’s voice on the other line, she smiled and hoped he was as handsome as he sounded—not realizing the trouble she is about to get herself into.
The Enforcer is a 17,500-word novella introducing the Dirty Biker Boys series. (The remainder of the series are full-length novels). DBB is a mature motorcycle club, new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This book contains a lot of foul language and violence; any sex featured is consensual. This series gets darker the further you read. It is full of love, lust, violence, dark backstories & heart-ripping drama. (Think SOA level darkness & tragedy).
Some of the characters may find a HEA, not everyone gets out alive. This is book one in the series.
Candy Cane is trying to reinvent herself after her abusive boyfriend disappears. She shows up for a modeling gig, where the photographer is the Enforcer for a local MC. Fennel is a complete douche and tells her she's not needed. Stupid stuff happens and she ends back at his place where he takes some sexy pics of her and then f*cks her with his oversized cock. Afterwards he tells her to get dressed and get out. After his club prez, Tarragon, sees the pics, he's interested in meeting up with Candy. When they finally track her down, her loser boyfriend has shown back up and taken over her life again. The Salad Gang follow her back to her apartment where they beat up her boyfriend and Tarragon eats her out. All this while thinking to themselves, "this b!tch isn't worth this". It ends on a cliffy with her riding off on the back of T's bike.
Ok first - why the f*ck is the author naming them Tarragon and Fennel. Seriously? Maybe this book is supposed to be a joke? Regardless - it's a joke on the reader - the end.
PS. I listened to the audio with Audible Virtual Voice and it's AWFUL. The terrible audio didn't influence my review on this one. Still wanted to tell you.

As a fan of the romance suspense genre, I had high hopes for The Enforcer by Lila Lush, but unfortunately found myself quite let down after reading it.
The story had potential, following a female assassin who falls for the handsome mark she's been hired to kill. However, the writing felt clunky and the pacing uneven, rushing through some scenes while dragging out others.
I didn't feel a real connection or chemistry develop between the two main characters, so the central romance fell flat. The suspense plot had some exciting moments but was overall predictable, with convenient coincidences helping wrap things up too neatly.
In addition, the frequent, graphic erotic scenes, while steamy, started to feel excessive and distracted from rather than enhanced the main storyline.
Overall, The Enforcer didn't live up to my expectations. The interesting premise wasn't executed as effectively as I'd hoped, and the book needed tighter writing and plotting.
I didn’t realize this was a short, part 1 of 4 kind of story when I started it. It’s a quick read, decently spicy. I liked it well enough, but it’s not a full story really, on its own. There are also a few too many cliches and some of the character and scene development felt a bit flat.
But the overall story is a nice idea, I like that there’s a curvy FMC, although I don’t love the post-breakup makeover with weight loss and a super skinny waist.
This is not your typical Motorcycle club romance. Check your trigger warnings for Physical Abuse, Kidnapping and killing. This is a fast pace story that does continue Candy's story in the next 8 books. Fennel and his best friend are rough around the edges with no tolerance for men that physically abuse women. What are the chance that Candy is the only red head that actually read the ad and their paths are changed forever.
Fennel is a complete a$$hole. He has no redeeming qualities yet seems to be the main love interest. The MC president shows up at the end of the book and essentially claims Candy for himself. Will not be continuing the series. I even permanently deleted the book from my library.
This is a new to me author and The Enforcer was a good intro to her work. It's the first part of Candy, Fennel, the Enforcer for the Dirty Devil's of the West Side MC and Tarragon's, who's the President of the Dirty Devil's of West Side MC story. It's a fast paced, quick read that you can sink in to and read in one sitting. Can't wait to get started on book 2 Hell Twins.
The book follows Candy a DV survivor trying to find herself out of their recent breakup. She ends up finding her voice with Fennel a member of a motorcycle club and now struggling to keep the new her alive. The story is a reverse harem has some spice and is the first book in a 4 part series. I liked the story but wanted a little more spice or plot development. Check TW before reading
A great start to a new MC series. It follows Candy, trying to recover from an abusive relationship and stepping out of her comfort zone and meeting the MC who want the curvy redhead. It ends on a cliffhanger and I wasn't sure where it was going to go (I didn't realise or I probably wouldn't have read it). But if you're into stories playing out over series, this looks like a good one.
Fennel and candy had a sexual relationship with no commitment. The storyline was limited with too many sexual incidents. Candy was uncomfortable with her self image.
Literally huh is what I said outloud when I finished reading this smut, drama, a beating and hints of more to come wanted a more in depth detail of the beating mainly cause it mc based but I look forward to reading what happens next.
First off, Candy!!! I love you!!! I love Fennel for his assholeness. But Terragon…..whew baby!!!! Protective baby!!! Great read and I would so recommend this book to other people. So ready to read the next one.
Another spicy and unhinged short novella to help you get closer to your reading goal. A perfect blend of spice and plot. There are more books in the series so I may read this at some point just to see where the story takes our FMC and MMCs.
This book had me hooked quick. While it was a short read for me I loved the plot and the characters. Seeing the struggle Candy goes through in trying to be who she really is I really resonate with! I cannot wait to see how that plays out in the next book!
