Katie is tired of one-sided love notes. For years, she’s waited for her brother’s best friend and email pal to realize she’s grown up and has feelings for him. But no more. She’s tired of being alone.
Dominic Wright, CEO of Titan Tech and host of a popular podcast, shuns commitment. His high-profile life is too messy for a serious relationship. And he refuses to break hearts as his dad and celebrity brothers so callously do. Work is enough for him.
Until he meets a new girl in the breakroom.
Now, he can’t stop thinking about the girl who didn’t recognize him. The girl who thinks he’s just a normal guy. The girl who made him laugh and whose brilliant mind he longs to explore.
Will he risk his heart—and hers—on this fickle thing called love?
Especially when there’s so much to lose?
Find out in this twist on the classic Daddy-Long-Legs story.
Charissa Stastny is an avid reader, happy writer, BYU graduate, and lover of irises, clouds, chocolate, sushi, and the outdoors. Though she was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has never pulled a handle of a slot machine and can’t shuffle cards to save her life. She does shuffle kids, laundry, and church responsibilities rather well though. She has lived in Nevada and Idaho, but currently resides in Utah with her husband and four children where shuffling cards isn’t required. She is the author of four books and ‘imagine-eer’ of many more.
My new favorite! I know, I said Charissa’s last book was my new favorite of all of her books. But now this one is my new favorite because her books just keep on getting better with every new release! The clever banter in this book, especially in the emails, made me smile every time. I love a book that makes me feel happy and this one did just that. Such a smart and original plot. I couldn’t put it down and that’s the best compliment you can give an author. I had the opportunity to beta read this book and I had almost nothing to give for feedback. It was perfect! Grab this one! You’ll love it! Don’t even read the blurb. Go in blind and let the story unfold. You’ll discover a magical masterpiece.
Stastny delivers another witty romance with fluid prose and likable characters. Email communications help tell the story, adding a fun element to the narration style. It's quick, breezy reading--exactly what's needed sometimes!
I couldn't put this book down! Even when I thought I knew what was happening, I was still surprised. There was a sweet Daddy Long Legs vibe with an email romance. I love Charissa Stastny's work and can't wait for more! This was a sweet romance, I'd rate it PG-13 for steamy kisses, an attempted assault, and some innuendo. This was a closed-door romance.
K.C. Or Katie is witty and fun to read her emails to Manly. I was a bit frustrated with Manly and Nic even though I could understand a little of where they were coming from due to horrible families. This book is a modern day version of daddy long legs which I am unfamiliar with but now will have to read.
This book captured my attention from the very first conversation between Katie and her big brother Davy. I loved how the story just got better and better. Nic/Manly and KC/Katie's banter back and forth was refreshing. The story is swoon worthy, and it has two adorable pups to boot!! It's one of the best books I've read!
I'm not familiar with the Daddy-Long-Legs story, but the storyline was predictable, BUT super enjoyable notheless.
I loved this book, it's cute, funny, tiny bits exasperating (Pal dude, you really think this is coincidence?! And real couple, communication! XD), also wholesome. I think this is my favorite Stastny book so far.
Just the book to pick to lift your spirits in a blue-ish weekend.
Excellent dialogue. She manages witty banter, without going so over the top that it’s not believable for real people to interact that way. Wonderful characters that you can see their growth throughout the story. Absolutely loved this clean romance
I was in a real reading rut for a while now. Then I picked this one up, and I literally couldn’t put it down. The characters were cute, the banter put a smile on my face and the kisses were hot. I have loved this series a lot, and I think this one might be my favorite book so far.
