I didn’t finish. Good concept but badly edited. I mean the character put on a strapless sundress that was later untied at the shoulders. 🙄 this is just one example of many.
Maybe it’s just me but it made my brain hurt.

This is my first Roxy Sloane book and it was such a great read, I love reading both POV’s, especially when it was Caleb’s. The book is filled with suspense, twists, secrets and undeniable chemistry and the smutty scenes to tie it all together. The characters, I think are so well written and Juliet is a character who deserves only the best. I love the way they meet, literal definition of a meet-cute. The chemistry between them, it’s undeniable. To put it simply I want a man written by Roxy Sloane.

ARC in exchange for my own thoughts and opinions.

First off, I want to say how happy I am that Roxy Sloane is writing again! I've missed her, and she's come back with a bang! The first book in the Flawless series is Flawless Desire.

Caleb and Juliet randomly meet in a coffee shop. But the beginning of their story isn't as random. Caleb is co-owner of jewelry empire that goes back generations. He's at the top of his game, and his company's success has increased. Juliet applies for an executive assistant position that reports to Caleb. There's almost instant chemistry between them that's tough for them both to ignore. But, both are holding secrets that could harm the other.

This story has a smokin' hot alpha, suspense, several secrets flowing around, and quite a few twists. I loved the dynamic between Caleb and Juliet, and how those around them float in and out of their orbits. Just about everyone in this tale may or may not be who you think they are. I'm usually not a big fan of suspense, but this story had me from the beginning, and didn't let me go until the very end. Flawless Desire does end in a cliffhanger, but thankfully the trilogy releases in January, February, and March, so there isn't that long of a wait.

I can't wait to see how the story continues in Flawless Ruin.

If you like your romance stories filled with suspense, twists, sizzling chemistry, secrets, and steamy scenes, then check out Flawless Desire by Roxy Sloane. The storyline was engaging and pulled you in, the characters were amazing, believable, and likeable, even the ones you love to hate.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

4 Stars!

Roxy Sloane (fan of hers from the beginning!) is back on the scene when a brand new book in a brand new trilogy (the Flawless trilogy) and y'all, this right here is an absolute must read.

Steamy. Intense. Suspenseful. Twisted. Thrilling. Intoxicating. Excitement at every turn of every page. Explosive chemistry that pours off of every page.

Flawless Desire was everything I expected it to be and y'all. I mean what. a. book. Juliet and Caleb are just getting started in their journey and what complicated but steamy af journey that is being set up - laid ahead for them.

Roxy Sloane has very much been missed in the book world but I'm crazy excited she's back. She's fresh, enticing, and better than ever with this newest release and I cannot wait to see where she takes us next in this series.

Roxy knows just where and how to leave you hanging and wanting more because gahhhhh. I CANNOT WAIT for the next book y'all.

I definitely recommend this book.

It’s been a good while since I’ve read anything by Roxy Sloane, but that’s most likely due to the fact that she’s been off the radar in book world, but still the fact I’ve been able to dive right into one of her new books I’m super excited about. I loved all of her previous books that she released, so you can imagine that I couldn’t wait to dive into this one, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It’s clear that Roxy has talent and that she knows how to capture her audience’s attention with how captivating her words are. This time was no exception, I enjoyed every word and loved how the story progressed. I had no idea which way the story was going at times, but I was just so invested that I had to keep reading and I wasn’t let down, although Roxy did make me feel for Juliet as she was going through some tough choices and the fact that she didn’t know what she was going to do in order to provide for her mom. I honestly just couldn’t get enough of the story and loved how invested I was once I started.
I loved everything there was in this book, I loved how the pace was just right, and it was pretty easy to follow, but the characters and the dynamics were pretty amazing and you just can’t help but want more from them. I couldn’t fault anything in this, and loved every second.
If you’re a fan of Roxy’s previous books, then when I say you’ll want to get your hands on this beauty, you should totally go ahead and do so because this is not one book to miss out on.

Juliet knows her life is about to become so complicated, it was the minute that she agreed to go ahead and take on a job of going under cover to try and get a job at Caleb Sterling’s company to be one of his assistants, but the first thing is that she needs to pass through the interview. But her luck is about to run out when she ends up having her own iced coffee thrown over her due to some guy walking into her and knocking it, but what makes it worse for her is that whilst she was standing in line to order, he heard her every word while she was on the phone, so when he takes her by surprise and proves to her that how a guy kisses is determined how incredible they are in bed, she’s in for a shock and a rude awakening.
So you can imagine her surprise when she does get to her interview and the person she’s interviewing with turns out to be the guy from the coffee shop… It’s clear that she didn’t do well in the interview, but she’s in complete shock along with everyone else in the room when he announces that she’s got the job.
Knowing she needs to keep everything professional between them and can’t let him get under her skin, she does her best to try and find the evidence that she was hired to do in the first place. Will she be able to get the job done and solve all of her problems to help provide for her mom or is there more to the story than she originally first thought???

5/ ⭐️
4/🌶

I absolutely loved this book. It’s a short read but damn if it didn’t take my heart with it within two pages. Billionaire that hires an assistant. You guessed right lots of desk/office steam. Wait I’m not done, this assistant that I’m talking about isn’t what she says she is, Juliet is an undercover agent, digging into Caleb’s life and office so she can get some dirt on him.

Juliet needs money due to her mother condition so when Olivia sterling offered her a job to be an undercover agent in her family’s company and find evidence on the CEO Caleb sterling is stealing money from the company she didn’t hesitate a second specially when this money is half a million. “ I mean I won’t hesitate”. But Caleb sterling isn’t an ugly old man with a beer belly , uh no he’s every woman’s wet dream. Falling for him is easy to avoid or that’s what she saying to herself but digging for dirt where there is no soil is hard. Caleb can’t seem to be professional with Juliet specially with her sassy attitude and tight skirt but what happens when he realizes that she’s not really in his side all along.

I didn’t expect that. The only reason I read this ,which I stumbled on really, is because I needed a good and short read but god this is not good this is perfect and I can’t wait for the second book. The ending made my mind spin as if I was the one played as if I was the one betrayed. The only mistake I made is reading flawless desire before the rest of the series comes out. I want to know everything right now. But all I have to do is wait.

Wow! When Roxy Sloane starts writing again (it's been a while and she's been missed) she doesn't mess around. I started reading Flawless Desire, the first book in her new Flawless series, at 1:00 a.m., and stayed up until finishing it at 5:00 a.m. because it was impossible to put down. I don't even mind that it ends in a cliffhanger, since book #2 will be out in February 2022, and book #3 in March. If you can't stand cliffhangers, collect the novels and start reading when you have them all--this is a 5-star read if ever there was one.

Told in dual narration, a literary device I love, Juliet, the heroine, is in dire straits. She needs a job, and she needs a well-paying one very badly. Her mom has Alzheimer's and is in a lovely but expensive nursing home because she needs 'round the clock care, but Juliet has already missed several months' payment and will soon be heading off to a very important job interview for the position of executive assistant with Caleb Sterling, CEO and co-owner of Sterling Cross, a fine jewelry company founded by his grandfather and a friend, on par with Tiffany's or Cartier, but when Juliet stops for a last minute pick-me-up at Starbucks, someone bumps into her and she ends up wearing her iced mocha. It doesn't help that a) he's gorgeous and b) he drags her into the ladies room and tells her to strip--actually giving her the shirt off his back, so she can get to her interview, and laying a kiss on her that curls her toes. If you're a romance reader, you already know that her shirt donor is none other than Caleb Sterling, and it's no surprise when after interviewing her, she's hired on the spot, and the roomful of other applicants are sent on their way.

What Caleb doesn't know is that Juliet has already been hired, by none other than Olivia Cross, the other co-owner of Sterling Cross. She's hired Juliet to work undercover at the company to investigate Caleb, and discover why and how he's been secretly siphoning off company profits, and gathering evidence that will wind Caleb in jail for embezzlement. Unfortunately, Juliet accepted Olivia's job offer, the payoff is a half-million dollars, without ever having met Caleb, and she cetainly never expected that the chemistry between them would be incendiary, and when Roxy Sloane turns up the heat between these two characters, she doesn't mess around, but they certainly do, and I kept waiting for my Kindle to burst into flames.

There's a lot more between these two characters than just sex and secrets. Why is Olivia so hell-bent on taking down Caleb? Juliet is having a hard time believing all the negative information that Olivia has told her about "love 'em and leave 'em" playboy, Caleb, and it all makes for sexy, sizzling hot, heart-wrenching, and suspenseful read, and I cannot wait to read the next novel in this series--I have a strong feeling that it's going to be another all-nighter of a read.

Welcome back, Roxy Sloane--you've written one heck of a terrific read and made one heck of a comeback!

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

this book started as a 4 star, then bumped down to a 3, but now i think i’ll give it a 3.5 just because of the ending.

when i first started reading, i was invested, but the editing and the grammar was such a let down. there was repetition, some things just didn’t add up, etc. like at one point she puts on a strapless dress and then later that night, he unties it??? some parts were just really confusing. sometimes there was no punctuation and i was just like uhhh. it also started to feel really empty. i enjoyed the plot, but i feel like it wasn’t executed correctly. it felt like i was reading a wattpad version of 50 shades that written by a 14 year old. this book was edited by a child, but i still enjoyed it 😭😭

I so loved flawless desire. I so loved caleb. Such a gorgeous and complicated leading man who has too much money and is very blessed in bed. From the moment he appeared, he oozed charm and confidence.
Juliet is sweet and quite a match for him. Although she is attracted to Caleb, she also has a reason to get close to him. Do yourself a favour and read their story. I guarantee you’ll be holding out for the next book, like me. Highly recommended

Technically duel pov but there’s only three povs for Caleb. Short and sweet. It was a little much for me. They basically got together the second chapter and he became obsessed and possessive of her. I don’t plan on finishing the series (it kind of leaves off on a cliffhanger).

As usual, another great book from Roxy. It seems that this book lays some of the ground work for an even more intense second book. Great character chemistry. Love the dominant alphas she always writes about. One thing I’d change is the character perspective. There’s only a couple short Caleb passages so it’s mainly Juliet. Equal POV is definitely my preference. Still an awesome book though. Can’t wait for the next one!

Ms. Sloane, where have you been hiding?

Flawless Desire will have you believing the title was exceptionally chosen!

Flawless, because the characters, the suspense/intrigue, the intensity, the steaminess, the romance…Flawless!

The story fires up not only Desire between the characters, but Desire from the reader!

Now what I desire, is book two, and time to read this author's backlist!

So GOOD!!!

Low key almost finished this book last night when I started it, it was so intense, powerful, and indulging!!

As this is an ARC, I can’t contain any spoilers but this book will not disappoint besides the fact that you’ll have to wait for the next book as it will leave you on the edge of your seat.

This is a office/billionaire romance with a lot of smut! Caleb is the CEO of Sterling Cross and Juliet becomes his new assistant but both of them have a little secret of their own.

I received this book as an advance reader copy in return for a review.
The story of Caleb and Juliet is fast paced and engaging. The whole story line is full of mystery and plot twists that keep the reader impatient to see what happens next. Juliet gets caught in a situation that she does not know how to fix. It blows up in a big way when Caleb is ambushed at that end book one in this trilogy. He feels betrayed and she is now his target of revenge. The road to love is not smooth so far. I can't wait to see how book 2 unfolds.

Fabulous start to a new trilogy. Set in the glamorous world of high end jewellery, it is a story of intrigue, passion and deceit. Julie and Caleb are a wonderful combination, but their journey is one filled with so much that is hidden, that it is hard to see how they will find their way through to happiness. Both Caleb and Juliet are struggling with obligations, but, for Juliet, the added layer of Olivia is one which creates further pressure on her.
This has been so much fun. I am really looking forward to the next installment 💖💖💖💖💖

Misunderstanding cliffhanger! Isn't it always?

Ok, first of all, you need to know a couple things about me before you read this review:
1. I received this ARC from the author in exchange for this review.
2. I am not a fan of the boss/employee trope. More on that later.

The prologue had your girl, like, very interested. Then we met Juliet, the lovely lady lead, and she's just as I described her. There's a meet cute situation. Then there's a meet awkward situation. When we "officially" meet Caleb Sterling, let me tell you...

This. Guy. Has. Everything.
Looks, money, cars, a ginormous ween (don't they all) and he knows how to use it (again...) and apparently a HUGE secret regarding his company and money and possibly the mob? All that is still TBD. Remember the cliffhanger we talked about earlier? This is that.

(sigh...Steve)

Ok, so here's my issue with the boss thing: they don't exist. They're like a unicorn. There are no young, hot, well-endowed, single, rich bosses. It's not a thing. And I know we're reading a book. And this is a fantasy. But I've never been able to get into it.

In summation, this book was good. It had a few continuity issues and needed a little more proofreading (mad use of commas, bro) but I am very excited to read the next book so I can find out what the heck is going on and read more of the dirty words that come out of Mr. Sterling's mouth.

Feels like there’s a lot of holes in the story and the relationship moves way too quick like she’s known him for a month and is in love with him? I’ll read the second book because it is short and I’m interested to see what happens but not super impressed with this

This is the first in a trilogy and is Caleb and Juliet’s story. Caleb is commanding and seductive and is the CEO of a jewellery empire, and Juliet needs a well-paying job quickly to cover her mom’s care home bills, but when she is on her way to an interview at Caleb’s company, she has a mishap with her iced coffee when a man bumps into her, and he drags her off and give her his shirt to wear. When Juliet meets Caleb, it is none other than the coffee shop man, and he hires her on the spot as his executive assistant. Juliet has already been hired by a co-owner of the company to work undercover and investigate Caleb as they are convinced, he is syphoning off funds. Caleb is a man who knows what he wants and that is Juliet, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. There are so many unanswered questions in this tale, and I cannot wait till February for the next instalment. This is a well written flawless story which is filled with secrets, twists, suspense, and is a thrilling, heartwrenching, and steamy riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

THIS BOOK MAKES ME HATE MYSELF!

The writing couldn't be more wattpad-y, the female main character is just a doormat, not to mention this book made me hate billionaires and in it the standard for men is lowered, as in below the depths of hell...
Still, somehow, I was blushing and giggling throughout it 🙄
