She's a ball-busting businesswoman with a need for control. I'm a laid-back rancher. Who's going to win this battle? Me. Yeah, I'm going to rule her world.

I might be a billionaire, but I'm a Montana rancher through and through. I lead a simple, quiet life. I don't care about contracts and mergers.

Then why do I want the feisty, pint-sized lawyer from New York?

She's everything I'm not, a workaholic with something to prove.

When I get her separated from her cell, her laptop-and her panties-she'll see there's more to life than the corner office.

Except I might find there's more for me than riding the open range.

What can we expect from the next book from the "Billionaire Ranch" series? Of course cowboys, love and smut galore 😍😍😍. I love reading the stories of these brothers. Even though the book was short, it was everything that I needed during the weekend. I loved it ❤️.

What a steamy and suspenseful finale to this DELICIOUS series! Vanessa Vale has created such a captivating and addictive world with the Billionaire series, and she’s saved the most delectable for last. Sensual, sexy, fast-paced, and full of secrets and suspense, West is yet another bingeable delight from the always entertaining Vanessa Vale.

The Wainwright family world is full of soapy drama, unexpected danger, and endless secrets, and just when we think they’ve found some equilibrium and all the sordid truths of their family’s past have to come to light, more somehow comes to the surface. Our finale gives us the much anticipated story of West, our mysterious ranching and brilliant minded final Wainwright sibling. From the start he’s been the most intriguing, and just as I expected, this seemingly solitary and simple man is SO much more than he seems. His path crosses with the professionally ambitious Rory, a driven and focused lawyer who’s firm has been commissioned to work with North on a deal with super high stakes- it’s the key to Rory earning the recognition at her father’s firm she’s always desired. And when she meets West- oh man, sparks fly.

I really loved these characters- and this whole series. Rory is so relatable as a woman trying to make her way in a male-dominated industry, a woman just trying to prove the worth that she should never have to prove. Meanwhile, in contrast, West is content to stay away from his family’s business, and instead he invests in his passions, his ranch and his creative pursuits. There’s an easy connection between them, and of course, scorching hot physical chemistry- I meant this IS Vanessa Vale! But the sizzle is challenged by some unexpected drama - which only underscores that these two have very different life paths in mind. And I loved watching them work through their mutual desire and divergent trajectories.

We don’t get full closure on all things Wainwrights, which makes me hopeful there may be more to come- I’ve loved this wild bunch, and I live for their drama and their found happy.

3 smut-scale stars!

West and Rory burn up the sheets in the fourth book in this series. These two are complete opposites but somehow they work. What starts out as a mistaken identity turns into something way more. Will both be willing to make the leap into futures they weren't prepared for?

This was a good read if you're looking for a break from a dark or emotional romance. I think it did get a little boring at times but overall a smutty and fun palate cleanser.

Absolutely loved reading this story. Hot and lusty two people come together, at first its all about sex for them both. But West lives in Montana and Rory Sullivan is a lawyer who lives in New York
West is a Billionaire and tinkers around. Where as Rory Sullivan is a lawyer in her fathes law firm, he has promised her partnership if she gets North to sign of on papers.
But what happens when their time together is cut short , they text each other, they really dont know what they are to each other. But then things happen and soon they do.
An exciting story to be sure i absolutely couldnt put this book down when reading it , for me it was that good.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: opposites attract
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

West is a super smexy and fast paced read by Vanessa Vale, the 4th book in her Billionaire Ranch series. This is a cute opposites attract/mistaken identity story which started as a ONS and then took a hard right turn that neither West nor Rory expected. They have fantastic chemistry and awesome banter that will leave you alternately laughing out loud and needing a fan from all the steam between them. West can be read as a standalone (I haven’t read the other books), but would likely be best enjoyed read in series order.

I don’t know but this story might happen my favorite. West is sent on an errand to pick up the lawyer from the airport that is meeting with his little sister North. West and Rory have this undeniable chemistry from first meeting that they are so different. The banter between the two cracked me up. Will these two work out? Can they overcome their differences?

THE COWBOY AND THE CITY SLICKER

The story is a mystery, with suspense, danger, secrets, lies, and discoveries. The Wainwright siblings are still uncovering the life, lies, and secrets of Macon Wainwright, and the DNA test results prove South is the only one that was Macon's. Because of the abusiveness of Macon, the Wainwright siblings avoid relationships—or at least they did, all except West, but that may be changing soon.

Weston' West' Wainwright is a man of many talents, went to MIT, and has created valuable products for farm and ranching that have had them patented, and now corporations want to buy them. West turns them over to North and lets her negotiate any deals. After all, you aren't worried about more money when you are a billionaire. West is a simple man, enjoys ranching, and mostly stays to himself.

Rory Sullivan is hoping to make partner in the law firm where her father is one of the founding partners. She has worked for this goal since she was ten-years-old, and was promised if she closed the Wainwright deal, it was hers. It doesn't matter what her accomplishments have been, how well she has done in school, passing the bar the first try, working at the firm—it is never enough or appreciated. She is missing the main factor that seems to matter to her parents and how they judge her—she was born a female.

The story's plot will have Rory traveling to Montana to meet with North Wainwright and their attorneys to close the deal on a patented product for another company. Rory will travel to Montana a day early to be ready for this meeting—the one she has been promised the partner position if she closes the deal. North will send someone to pick her up and take her to her motel, letting her assume it is a ranch hand. While in Montana, why not ride a cowboy!

I loved the chemistry between West and Rory—even when they didn't know who the other was or their purpose in the meeting to take place the next day. West doesn't care about Wainwright's business; that is all North as the company's CEO. He cares about his ranch, using his brain and creating functional items to aid farmers and ranchers—and he lets North handle all the business end of the deal. When she asks him to attend the meeting, what a shock for both Rory and West to discover who the other is. It seems North is playing matchmaker, and she keeps that going for the weekend. But a wrench is thrown in the plans with East contacts West that a man has shown up, claiming to be their biological father—and he looks just like West, except older.

West drops Rory at the airport, and they part company—both uneasy about their future. West has been hurt, used for his name to gain clout in the business world. Rory has stated repeatedly that her goal is her work, becoming a partner, and that coveted corner office. But what happens when they are apart? Do they miss each other? Yes—but they also have different dreams and goals, and they are polar opposite of what the other person wants. Will they discover that there is more between them than an erotic weekend of pleasure?

While I don't feel the story ended on a cliffhanger, I also don't think it has ended with a conclusion, and I hope there is more on the Wainwrights.

The fourth book following the Wainwright siblings.
Like each of the others in the family, West doesn't want anything to do with love.
He is an inventor and when he needed a lawyer to work the paperwork, in comes Rory all the way from NYC.
Rory becomes friends so to speak with North and I love the friendship that eventually happens there and North’s meddling into West’s life.
Good thing his sister, North, doesn't agree.
I feel for Rory because her family seems like a real piece of work that you want to knock sense into.
Trust me, you will want to.
Another book I couldn't put down. Very hot and steamy. Chains are broken and plans are changed. All in good ways.
Thank you, Vanessa for another amazing book!

I loved Rory and West. So much. They appeared to be opposites, but maybe they had a lot more in common than it appeared. After all, they both had somewhat toxic people close to them at one point or another. They both had to figure out what made them truly happy. And they both insisted this had to only be a fling. Feelings can’t be involved. Right?

As much as these two tried to deny their hearts, they still slipped down the hill toward love. They didn’t want to admit it, but it happened. Rory needed to see what she truly wanted in life and West was happy to be the guy to open her eyes. And maybe he was hoping to be the man she wanted it all with. And it went the same way for West needing Rory, even if he didn’t want to admit it. At all. But when push came to shove, and that shove maybe got some help from a meddling sister, these two figured it out easily enough.

This series has had it all. Love, recovering from hateful relationships full of toxicity, situations that seem impossible without some perspective, and couples who couldn’t be more perfectly matched if they tried. Rory and West absolutely fit on all counts and their road from fling to maybe more to definitely everything was one I’m so glad I traveled because they rounded this family out perfectly!

The Billionaire Ranch can NOT END !! This story has so much love, hate and of course a sexy, hot cowboy that I never wanted it to end !! I think West was the hottest of all the Wainrights !!

When North asks West to pick up the New York lawyer at the airport he expected a man .. hmmmm .. WRONG !! In walks Rory Sullivan .. sexy, smart and tiny hot short New York Lawyer willing to do anything for the corner office .. but not SELL herself !! She has worked hard to make partner since she was interning in high school for her dads law firm. So when she closes the most important deal .. Wainright Patten she knew she would make partner and get the corner office .. except that is NOT why her dad gave her the promotion .. ughhhhh her Dad is not a DAD to her !! And don’t get me started on Mike the other lawyer looking to be partner ….

West has been burned before so when Rory walks into his life and turns it inside down .. not that he hasn’t have enough from Malcom in walks Travis too !! He just can’t catch a break but the one that might break his hardened hate is RORY !!

Such a great story line !! Heart breaking and warming all in one !! LOVED IT !!

Matchmaking the City slicker and the Rancher
West (Billionaire Ranch Book 4) by Vanessa Vale is a wonderful opposite attracts romance. West and Rory are truly as opposite as two people can get. On paper. But the two of them together is explosive and just about perfect.
This romance journey requires some character self reflection which is difficult and at times painful! As West and Rory try to ignore and deny, using physical distance as a buffer, they actually get closer through communication. And wow! Their method of communication is a mix of care, concern along with a significantly healthy and hot does of steam.
Overall, West is perfect for Rory, giving her much needed permission to let go, be herself and bask in praise and rewards. Rory, for West, gives him a reason to stop hiding, to live and love out loud, without reservation. Best of all, the last Wainwright sibling finds his forever love and HEA.
I read an ARC of the book via Valentine Promotions and am voluntarily sharing my review.

Vanessa Vale is one of my all time favorite authors and I am honored to have received an arc for review! I knew ai would love this book before I even started it! West is book four of four in a series of standalones.

Rory is a lawyer trying to make partner in her father’s firm. She has only ever wanted to make her dad proud so she followed in his footsteps. But her parents believe that a woman’s place is to keep a home and raise babies.

West is an engineering genius that loves being a rancher and “tinkers” with his inventions for fun…no matter that they bring in millions of dollars! He is a billionaire so he doesn’t care about the money. His sister, North, is the CEO of their family business and handles his patents for his inventions. She flies Rory to Montana to go over and sign legal documents for one of the patents. She decides to play matchmaker while she’s at it.

Can West and Rory have a chance at a relationship with him being in Montana and her being in New York? You will just have to read it for yourself to find out! I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down when I started reading it…I was hooked from the first page!

Great Series - West May be My Favorite!!

Rory is a high-powered lawyer from NYC. West is sent as a “hired hand” to pick her up from the airport. Rory is looking to blow off some steam, and the handsome cowboy in front of her seems to fit the bill. When she enters negotiations the next day she is appalled to discover he is the inventor and millionaire upon whose invention the negotiation revolves.

Rory is vying for the corner office - partner in her dad’s law firm. She must work twice as hard to prove no favoritism is taking place. Discovery she slept with a client, even unknowingly, will kill her chances.

West is well aware of what it means to live with a cruel father. Though Rory is a bit “city” for him, she is also whip-smart and stands up to him. Parents do not mean “family” in this series, but siblings and other friends sure do. I wish there were more points on the compass. This series has been an amazing read!

What an incredible series this has been. so sorry to see it end but what a way to end it West is by far the hottest of all the books from the first time Rory and west meet, they were on fire. Scorching and it never let up. even when he was in Montana, and she was in New York their chemistry burned the pages.
I know this is not fair, but Rory and West are my favorite. She is an attorney at her father's law firm hoping this contract with Wainright Holdings will seal her position in becoming partner. All her life she has only wanted to become a partner. To work alongside her father. But her father never notices her accomplishments never praises her and her mother thinks the most important thing a woman should be concerned with is where they are having lunch and their next nail salon appointment. The workplace is a man's domain in her mother’s and even her father’s eyes. It is this attitude that makes Rory work that much harder.
Although both Rory and West never intended becoming involved with each other, he became someone, the only one really, that was in her corner. Someone who was proud of her and her accomplishments. West knew what she was capable of, encouraged her and praised her for it. He also opened her eyes to a life she was afraid to see. To Rory everything was work. Being with West showed her there was more to life than that corner office. She also showed him to trust again to stop hiding and to live.
They were perfect for each other. Each helping the other to stop hiding and to live life to the fullest and enjoy what life had to offer.

Rory Sullivan had one goal, to make partner in her father's law firm, and all she had to do was close one more deal to make that dream come true . . . close the deal with Wainwright holdings. Then her 80 hour work weeks and lack of a personal life would finally be rewarded with a corner office and the recognition she deserves.

West Wainwright doesn't do relationships . . . especially with career driven women since he was burned by one in college. But there is something about Rory that has him breaking his own rules. He knows she is just like his sister North was, killing herself for her career and all he wants to do is get her out of her head and into his head for a bit.

While it was supposed to be a fling, it ends up being eye opening and life changing for both Rory and West while both are forced to deal with people and preconceived notions they would rather ignore.

Oh, I adored Rory and West together. They were so much fun and simply perfect together! Rory is so sassy and gave West everything he didn't know he needed. And West saw Rory, not as an asset or something for gain but for who she really is. I also loved the connection between North and Rory as I feel like this story really brought the series full circle as we see how North is living her best life now.

Vanessa Vale knocked it out of the park with West and while I am sad our time at Billionaire Ranch is over, I can't wait to see what story she has coming our way next. 4.5 stars.

One sizzling hot romance! From the first page to the last page of this book the heat is read hot and grabbed my complete attention.

Rory isn’t exactly who West expected when he was asked to pick the New York lawyer up from the airport. First, she is a she instead of a he, and then she propositions him to quick fling in her hotel room not realizing who he is. I was giddy with excitement to see what the author had in store for these two characters.

The NYC lawyer and the Montana rancher/inventor have little in common, but when they get together not only do they have incredible sexual chemistry, they actual make each other happy and fill up a lonely spot they didn’t realize they had.

I love how the siblings are supportive of each other yet yank each other’s chains for fun. The parental issues abound for both the Wainwright siblings and for Rory. Sometimes an outside perspective is needed to shine a light on something we’ve hidden from ourselves for too long. The situation Rory’s is in trying to earn her father’s admiration and approval is sad, and frustrating.

This was a fantastic book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I received a free ARC from the author and Valentine’s PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

I seriously don't want this series to end. I'm already so immersed in their world and their whole family. West and Rory's story is pretty fast-paced and steamy. West is never one to be in a relationship, he's been there and got burned before. And Rory is only in Montana for the weekend so there's nothing wrong with having fun for just one night. I loved their banter and back and forth. And West definitely loves to challenge Rory. It's just explosive between the two of them.

What a sizzlingly suspense hot end to this great series, West was always going to be the slightly more in-depth sibling, the slightly more broken one and the one that truly deserved his HEA.

North, East, South or West, it has been hard to pull apart which book has been my favourite we started with North the woman who as with any compass the centre where everything starts from and we ended with West, where the sun sets, and this story did live up to its name, emotions run high from the start of West and Rory's story right until the end, the uptight lawyer trying to win her fathers approval and West the Cowboy Billionaire still holding back, still fighting a war inside coming to grips with the life he and his siblings endured at the hands of their none dead father, but all that gets brushed aside when he meets Rory the lawyer who is working on a deal with his sister, a fling should have been all it was, Rory likes the bright lights and the challenge of the city.. right? not the mountains and the clean air of Montana, and West isn't ready for a woman like Rory permanently.. right? well, these two are about to find out how wrong they are, but as with the rest of the series Ms Vale likes to tease us with a mystery or two when you aren't expecting it, so be prepared for some bumps along the way, in this action-packed, story both in the bedroom and out of it, a great ending to a great series.

This was my favorite of the series (although I didn't read book 1 (yet-I bought it earlier today).
The draw between West and Rory is easy for everyone else to see, but they're stubborn, of course. Rory is desperate for her parents' approval and getting ahead at work is the way to do that. West has no interest in a workaholic - or at least that's what he keeps telling himself

West is the fourth book in the Billionaire Ranch series. Rory has dreams of making partner at her father’s law firm, and if she can get this deal signed, the corner office should be hers. Blowing off some steam with a hot cowboy should have just been a one night stand, but she’s shocked when he’s a major player in her deal. When one night turns into a weekend fling, can Rory and West appreciate the love and partnership they can find with each other, or are their dreams just too different?

Wow, this book was explosive! West and Rory had a clash of cultures, a clash of dreams, but one place they clashed the best was between the sheets. This book was so spicy and steamy and decadent at times, but there were also quite a few of my heartstrings pulled at different moments during the book, too! Rory is so dedicated to her job, addicted to proving herself, and a man just did not fit with her dreams, no matter how satisfying he could be or how easily he showed her a life she didn’t realize she needed. I loved her drive, but I also loved that she was able to see things wrong within her situation. West was wicked at times, not looking for a permanent woman, but I loved that even though he pushed her away to pursue her dreams, he still, reluctantly, wanted more. I’m not going to lie, I thought this book would end up being the first half of a duet, especially with all of the pushing and pulling, but I did like how the ending played out. This might not have been my favorite book in the series, but I still enjoyed this romance, enjoyed their explosive dynamic of their relationship, and am curious about what will come next!

Burly, cocky, and mysterious billionaire rancher West Wainwright is pure perfection. He was the one Wainwright I knew less of yet, I was looking forward to reading his story. And let me tell you, Vanessa Vale delivered. West's book is captivating and a page-turner.

The best part? Rory Sullivan. She is a corporate lawyer who has been trying for years to impress her dad by following in his footsteps and making partners at his firm. She is trying to make it in a men's world. She doesn't shy away from the long working hours and makes sure her deals are closed perfectly. Her work is her life, and she doesn't have time for anything that can skew her from her coveted promotion.

But why not have a one-night stand with a hot rancher while on a work trip in Montana? Just let loose for a couple of hours before closing the deal she has worked on for months. What can go wrong? Except, she didn't realize that the hot rancher is not just a ranch hand but her client's brother.

They couldn't be more opposite if they tried and yet they are made for each other. What starts as a fling, quickly turns into so much more. They manage to see each other's real side and understand their needs. And because this is Vanessa Vale we are talking about, the chemistry is off the charts and hot.

West wraps the last few loose strings of the Wainwright's family drama. It shows them as a strong family, and it's amazing to see how close and protective of each other the siblings are. I really wish this wasn't the last book in the series. It has been a wonderful journey!

Thank you Vanessa Vale for providing me with an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts are my own.

Honestly I just saw Vanessa put out a tiktok of one of the 🥵🌶 dialogues that West says to Rory and I immediately had to read the rest. West sees the fourth Wainwright sibling meet his match in “city slicker” Rory, a NY lawyer who comes to Montana to close the deal on one of West’s patents. Although they meet as strangers and have a steamy one night stand before they find this out, and when they do, sparks fly.

It was a quick, easy read for me, which I really appreciated because I was coming from some intense dark romance/fantasy books. The writing was crisp, but not in a way that comes across as abrupt which I was really impressed by because it can be easy to fall into that territory.

West & Rory had explosive chemistry and banter, and their 🌶🌶🌶 scenes? Off the charts. West is such a dominating alpha hole and his words made me blush right through, honestly, it was so hot to read him telling Rory what to do. And I could relate so hard to Rory, because she works so hard for her dreams, despite being taken for granted and under appreciated. I love that West sees past her tough exterior to the core of her, including her insecurities, and wholeheartedly embraces and celebrates all of her, while calling her a good girl (praise kink anyone? This book has plenty).

Some of the macho alpha talk between West and his brothers put me off a bit, but overall I enjoyed it this book immensely.

This is a terrific finale to this exciting series about four siblings with an intriguing history. Everything comes out after their horrible father dies and it one jaw-dropping surprise after another. This story features West the big, sexy cowboy with a questionable parentage. Well, we get the answer to the burning question that has continued through this series. The mystery is solved but there’s no happy outcome. On to the happy. Sister North plays matchmaker for West with a sassy NYC lawyer doing business with Wainwright Holdings. Rory is all about skyscrapers and high heels but she can’t resist the hot hunk West. They have hot chemistry right from the start but where can it go? West won’t leave Montana and Rory’s life and future is in NYC with her father’s law firm. I love that we see a different side to West that reveals he’s so much more than a cowboy. All the sibs and their significant others make appearances and it’s heart warming as they stand together during a crisis. I love this family and am sad to see the end. There wasn’t any danger and suspense in this story like the others. Just awful people hurting Rory. The romance wasn’t quite as panty melting either but still sweet and sexy. This is a quick, easy read with fabulous characters in this group of hunky brothers and one amazing sister. Loved it!

This is the 4th Wainwright siblings love story. West has resisted romantic entanglements thus far. He was burned in college and has a distrust of women wanting to trade off his family name. Rory is a lawyer sent to manage a business deal with North. She and West have some serious insta attraction and crazy chemistry. But it was never meant to last more than one night.

These two appear to be worlds apart in life and love. But once we get to known them, underlying both of their identities is a level of toxic and insecure parenting that has shaped the people they have become. Both are too guarded and place their energy into being closed off and protected. The pay off of them overcoming their issues together is a pretty satisfying HEA (by way of some heated cloakroom sexy times).

I liked the feminist gist of this story. We've already seen the compromises North makes to have a more rounded life. North helps Rory to see that she can be independent and driven without sacrificing a love life. Rory faces issues a lot of women in business have to contend with.

So if you have read this whole series your probably having a hard time picking a favorite right? Yeah me too because I don't know if there can truly be a favorite, but West kinda stole my heart from the get-go. Rory wants to prove to her father that she can close this deal with Wainwright Holdings and she will do what it takes to make sure that no one tries to brush her off. When she meets a handsome stranger in a bar she's like yes let's relieve this stress. Little does she know that her life is about to change. West man what a hottie he is and yes I know I loved his brothers but he just had something more. He doesn't like the fanfare and has been through some crap. When he meets Rory there is a spark for sure but also something else. He wants to show her that she is more than what her father thinks. This book was full of love and passion. It had the feel of great expectations that helps a woman show her she is worth more than being stuck behind a desk. Can two unlikely strangers fall and love?

Rory has focused all her attention on her career as a lawyer and proving to her father that she deserves to be a partner. She believes that finalizing the deal with Wainwright Holdings will ensure that everything she has worked for happens, but she never expected to be attracted to West or that it would have her re-evaluating what she truly wanted in life.

West is a successful man who chooses to spend time on his ranch and leave the aspects of his business that he doesn’t enjoy to North. From the moment that he meets Rory the sparks fly but that is the easy part compared to the past resurfacing and how their lives couldn’t be more different.

I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Rory and West unfold as he gives her the support and understanding she has always deserved while she shows him that love with the right person can allow you to heal from the past.

Hooked from the Opening Page

The fourth book in the Wainwright Family series for West and it was AWESOME.

West lives a life away from the spotlight tinkering with his gadgets and running his farm while Rory works long hours, promised a long-sought-after promotion if she can get North's signature on the contract by the law firm of which her father is a founding member.

When these two meet the chemistry is instant, with a little meddling from big sis, West and Rory end up together for the weekend both proclaiming it's just a fling. After one sexy banter-filled weekend together they are questioning their life goals and discovering toxicity in family members opens their eyes to what real happiness is.

Vaness Vale has created a romantic and drama-filled storyline the perfect ending to the series.

Was gifted an ARC copy of this book and volunteered to leave a review.
