In the aftermath of the world changing events of her last adventure, Sienna Nealon stands at a crossroads in her life, unsure of which direction to take.
Robert J. Crane was born and raised on Florida's Space Coast before moving to the upper midwest in search of cooler climates and more palatable beer. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in English Creative Writing. He worked for a year as a substitute teacher and worked in the financial services field for seven years while writing in his spare time.
The new story arc starts 6 months from the last epic installment of GITB. Sienna has been forced to finally take time for herself. She has been living off the grid and starting the healing process (emotionally and physically) with the support of her family and encouragement of loved ones.
In the meantime, the world has been shifting and changing until a pivotal event drags Sienna back into the fray. And she comes out kicking and screaming and taking it out on anyone who gets in her way. Classic vengeful Sienna doing what she does best but with her family at her side. It’s like that old saying, It takes a family to raze a village. Or something like that.
There are plenty of all the features I love in a good Sienna book to make it enjoyable (fast paced, action packed, humor, suspense, snark, colorful characters, Friday’s new battle cry). But then there is the ending. Which is honestly so shocking that I don’t know how to process it. And it pretty much guarantees that I will read the next book the second it is released. It’s twists like these that keep me coming back for more.
Sienna's stories are getting better and better! I still love Brianna and Sienna's team. I especially love when we get to see past characters, both the good and bad. One in particular shows up and really surprised me. Reading these stories is better than any TV show or movie series, for me. The world building, the character development, and the story arcs, all come together to make it feels like we're revisiting with family and friends. There are 2 specific things that I can't wait to find out more about, both what's going to happen and how Sienna will react. Sobriety is difficult for anyone who suffers from addiction. High stress situations make that difficulty rise to almost impossible to maintain. Sienna isn't the only one in the story working on her demons and I love the way its handled. I love the care given to trying to reduce stress on those that are struggling, especially when it comes from Sienna herself. Looking forward to the next book, it's already been added to my tbr list.
Robert J Crane warned his readers to expect something unexpected at the end. He was not kidding. Our heiress Sienna takes a few months off from crime fighting to consider or assess her life again, especially while paying attention to new or different factors. Someone wants to get her where they can attack her without penalty. Boy they didn’t know her at all. Messing with her family can cause more trouble than antagonist anticipate. As in pass episodes old enemies, friends and family members make appearances. Chapters 66-78 could make a movie all by themselves I’d love to see. The last scene would remind me of other bookendings foretelling of problems down the road.
Well done Mr. Crane. The wait was worth it all in the end. But you knew that. 😊
OK honestly, I must have laughed out loud the most that I’ve ever laughed out loud while reading a book. One word. Just one word. Alanah. This girl made the book freaking hilarious! I have got to say I just couldn’t stop myself from laughing. I loved the story. I love that all the characters were involved. I love the twisty little plot at the end. Mr. Crane, you are a genius! And I know, I know that eventually this series has got to end. But please I’m begging you! Not yet! I really love this character and all the stories that you’ve told surrounding her. And I just can’t wait for more. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary storytelling gifts with all of us. You are amazing and I love this series. Can’t wait for the next book!
I just binge read all of Out of the Box in three weeks and now I feel devastated. I need to know what's going to happen next for Sienna and Her friends and family. Also, who is this person she married and why did she marry them? Wouldn't Harry know she was married? I'm still hoping that Sienna and Harry will end up together. He has saved her so many times, and I know he's tired of seeing horrible futures for her. I just want Sienna to have a happy love life. Also, her hating herself really hit me hard. I know how it feels like to hate yourself. It honestly made me cry. I hope she reaches out and gets the help she needs with her self loathing because that just leads to self harm and depression. And in her case, possibly drinking again.

Vacation time. Find some time and get caught up on this amazing series. Kindle unlimited is your best bet. I strongly encourage every reader out there to give this brilliant author your undivided attention. We have comical, dry humor, heart warming, family connections and so much more. I’ve been reading this series for a long time now and I’ve never been disappointed… ever. Robert J. Crane you my friend are the best author I’ve ever known. Thank you so much for keeping entertained. I so look forward to Ghosts. Book 50.
Read this book dear readers. It was such a great story.
Gosh I really tried to not read so fast but darn, finished in two days. I love this book series. Great movie in my head every time. Wish wish wish this was a movie series. I'd binge watch for sure. Hoping #50 isn't the last book but really how many more scenarios can happen that haven't happened already. There are still many things to explore so if he keeps writing them, I'll keep reading. Sienna is kick ass and she lives in Nashville so gotta love her even more. In my perfect world she exists but is not so misunderstood. I get so mad when she's getting misunderstood. Read on dear reader! Enjoy!
WTHeck … after finishing the intense novel #48 in RJ Crane’s ‘Girl In The Box’ series, I was ready for more, more, more Sienna Nealon … I should have known that this author was merely ramping his readers up to throw a knockout punch in book #49!!! Nice placid-paced beginning lulled me gently after the wild ride in the previous story; then Crane had to go & set dear Sienna’s life on fire again with another heart rendering, personal tale/trial … blown away by how this talented storyteller finished the story w/a POW twist 🤯😳😅🙌🏻 Might have to take a nap before I delve into the next one 😉
What can I say? I'm a die hard fan, every review I write turns sort of gushing.... genuinely, if you love a heroine that is a smart arse, hard as nails, indestructible, smashes her opponents, has a vile temper (she barely contains), is a Meta Human (really bad ass), bundle of emotions and witty one liners, YOU SHOULD READ THESE BOOKS! Enough said really, does exactly what it says on the tin and much, much more.
Action, sarcasm (witty sarcasm), and a touch of family. Sienna is sober after six months out of the game. Harry is orchestrating bad deals! Reed is kidnapped and then Sienna finds out a very important detail of her life Rose stole in Scotland! Onto the next war! Get em Sienna and crew (she would have died long ago with no family & friends to help her. )!
I've been reading the series for the last few years and love it. I love the cliffhangers that he leaves. I love the characters he has built. And he is not gonna possible situation to overcome with the invention of The Power inducing drugs. We have the car tell upset with her and the Chinese government. And that is the name just two. I look forward to his next book. It looks like Harry might be back, this should be interesting.
I love this series of books! I must say this one was a lot more blood and guts and gore than previous books. It was also sad to me they trashed so much greenery and history. It is difficult and sad to imagine a world with the drug problems described in this book.
As usual, Sienna Nealon delivers the ass kicking to the bad guy and somehow survives to save another city or country in the next book. I love this series of books. The heroine is one of my all time favorite characters. She has a totally weird sense of humor and the ability to kick ass like no other. The author is a genius and I can’t wait to read the next book.
After a wild twist of events in her last adventure, Sienna is finally back off the bench when her brother goes missing. I loved this one because it reminded readers of the lengths that Sienna will go to for her family, especially her brother. As always, looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Was a Hurricane for sure- was really surprised at why Reed was kidnapped. Took me a while to figure it out, As always did enjoy the story. Sure going to hate when it comes to an end, but all good things sure do end. Thanks for your great stories. Sandy Mode. Hope this new one is as good as all the rest have been.
Likely scenario. Sienna takes a break and all hell let's loose. I particularly liked the way this particular incident was handled though. It's kinda like "damn the torpedoes", as I think it should be in these situations. Pfft on the weak hearts. I'm wondering if she'll ever get to cleaning China's drawers. Lol. Great read. Keep em coming.
Not the best, not the worst, but a good evening's read. I certainly did not see who the real bad guy is until the reveal at the end ( and, no, I am not going to spoil it).
Had BIG problems putting this one down. It was very intense and stayed interesting. Trying not to give anything away with this review, but man Harry just lost his mind or what!?!?!.....I don't know
Great fast paced read as always no rubbish to fill it out like alot of authors. Plenty of action and story and great cliffhanger can't wait for the next one.
I look forward to a new book with sienna nealon in coming out and as usual this new one really doesn’t let you down once you start reading you really can’t put it down until it finishes then you are left wondering what is going to happen in the next book.
I enjoyed this so much. So many twists and unexpected events. This is one of my favorite books in the whole series. I loved how many characters had moments and how so many powers were shown off. The end leaves me anxious to read on. Thank you for writing this series!
This time, the whole family arrive to protect Sienna. From herself, or from the many people trying to murder her. Back, from her self exile to sober up, to protect society, we have a new, old enemy. The usual violence, and twists and turns.
Maybe Reed will have a better understanding now of the demons that Sienna endures. Wild goings on in Texas. Things are going to be weird after the new information from the President. Keep writing, I'll keep reading.
Another cracking installment. Loved every page. Great seeing much loved characters reappearing, and a very different cliff hanger ending. Cant wait for the next book to release.
I have read this entire series and gotten a kick out of every book of the 49. Sienna is different from any superhero. I love her wicked ways and I love her companions.
Still enjoying this series after so many books. This was a good addition, and looking forward to the next. Do not care for her young cousin though, can’t remember the name. Anything out of her mouth was mostly gross. Otherwise, very much enjoyed.
