This is the book I wish I’d had as a teenager, a teen who was bullied, sensitive and full of self doubt and learnt bad habits. This is so well written and full of really helpful advice and encouraging words and mantras to reinforce the good within each of us. I AM ENOUGH, YOU ARE ENOUGH, WE ARE ENOUGH

Reflections and lessons learned:
You are enough
“…the grass is greener on the other side because it’s AstroTurf”

An all round, up to date reminder of the old classic of why sometimes we shouldn’t fall in line for what we think is the ‘correct’ way of living… singalong - if everybody looked the same, we really would get tired of looking at each other…

You Are Enough is a positive, informative and interesting read. It feels personal and inclusive, written in a way that feels like you’re talking to a friend.

The book has three parts covering expectations, balance and self. Through each part you ‘work’ on different areas. Each part is then broken down further into chapters, focusing on even more specific advice. It covers a broad range of information and is vast – full of so much knowledge that it’s practically bursting at the seams.

There are steps to follow which aim to combat each of the difficulties. All of which are easy to follow and relatively simple to consider, think about or do. Step 34 is the final step, which gives you some idea about how in-depth the information is!

Each part begins with a quote which is a nice touch and adds extra external positivity. It also made sure there was a nice start to each and had relevance to the chapter in hand.

There is a notes section in the back of the book which is especially useful to jot down any thoughts or feelings you may have as you go through the book. It’s also a good place for responses to some of the Step’s, such as writing a list.

The numerous illustrations and info graphics throughout are beautifully designed and equally functional. They’re informative and aid the reading in a positive way. The book as a whole is extremely aesthetically pleasing, and really gives off a ‘feel good’ sense right from the cover page.

You Are Enough speaks directly to you and this makes it feel personal. It makes it easy to follow and is extremely engaging. It’s comforting but also informative, chatty but also educational.

The information and steps given by Cheryl Rickman are thought provoking and detailed. They really do guide you through a process and deliver their end goal and leave you feeling ‘enough’.

Embrace your flaws and be happy being you.

I certainly have to believe I’m enough. Filled with actions to guide you to realisation that you should believe in yourself. I loved the quote it’s time for an upgrade. The quotes were brilliant and the statistics from psychology studies were so knowledgable. The Moro of you haven’t failed if you try. I never knew about the author Matt Haig either so this was truly inspiring to find out.

The author lifted my spirits with working such as ‘badassery’ this made me chuckle there were so many well explained words with a mixup on top of them. This made me believe in what the author was saying we had built that emotion through the words and you can see the authors personality shine through what’s been written.

It’s so refreshing learning about different theories when I’m not actually being told to learn about them as part of my uni degree. I loved the references back to the Truman store I thought it was great how the author made it so now so real and made references to how we use social media. The positives and the negatives and for us to be more us more real and true to ourselves and our identities.

I found this book so inspirational it got me thinking a lot about who to interact with, who really matters in my life. The author speaks to you as though you’re her friend that she’s giving advice to. I found this extremely positive and refreshing. I’ve finished this knowing I am enough.

This is a bit of a different kind of read for me, but one I wanted to read as it really did help me. This book is all about embracing your flaws and to be happy being you, which I have struggled with for a long time. It is broken down into three sections with different parts in those chapters. I suggest getting a notebook which I did and when a chapter asks you questions, you can write down your answers to come back to later, this really helped me. It is all about helping to shift your mind set and thinking more positively about yourself, and I have to say this book has taught me a lot and also helped me feel more positive about who I am. I hope this book helps other people too. I can re-read it as many times as I like and I truly think it will help me in the future if I ever need it again. I am so glad I have read it and I like that at the back of the book there are more reading suggestions.

I went in totally expecting this to be a r/thanksimcured type book, but to be fair the message is helpful. There isnt anything mind-blowing in here, but there's something about a short book with positive message that you hear over and over.

I listened to the audio book over few days and when the author gott to the latter parts of the book that contained few excercises and thought experiments, I thought they were reasonable. The initial parts of the book is explaining why we're the way it is - the usual "flight or fight response", and "its not you, its them" stuff.

Will I pick up this book again? Perhaps. We all need help once in a while, and to have a book that's easy read/listen to "tune" yourselves up isnt a bad thing.

I would definitely recommend reading this book as an audiobook first if you are someone who struggles with content like this. The layout of the book was really good - she would talk about a certain topic and then lay out specific points of how you can turn the information into practical steps that are actionable. However, some of these points can be super hard-hitting! In a good way, but can be difficult to hear. I definitely found it easier having it as an audiobook and I'd like to go back over the book as a hardcopy later to revisit many of the steps she talked about.
Some parts were very cheesy, and others felt like it seemed a bit optimistic, but overall the book made some really good points that I feel have left me very thoughtful.

Awesome book. Highly recommended to a mentee of mine as she was feeling like she was having to seek approval from others and I thought this may help her embrace her worries about not being enough. A great read.

Well-written book about how to feel good about yourself and to keep reminding yourself that ‘You Are Enough’. I got a few things out of reading this but for some reason I didn’t really warm to the style it was written. Worth a read all the same.

Simple and effective, this book has gems littered in every page. Worth to take notes and implement in real life. It provides new ways of looking at things I’ve had a rigid perspective on for years. Little fluff but still funny and not dry. Kudos!

Echoes a lot of “I Am Enough” by Marisa Peer and her work in general. It’s really good information, but I do wonder how much of it really is original.

I thought this had a lot of very strong and useful messages and tips, however the way some of the assumptions had been written gave me a bit of a complex

Really good book,

I think we do as people tend to compare the worst parts of our lives with the best parts of others. We are all lost in this wonderful journey of life <3

A must read book for anyone needing a little pick me up!

I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. It is one you can keep coming back to time and time again.
