Originally published in the A Year of Love romance anthology, BB Easton's short story, Operation: Mile High Club, is a spin-off from her bestselling memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men. In it, BB tells the true story of how she might (or might not) have convinced her straight-laced, accountant husband Ken to help her join the exclusive ranks of the Mile High Club on a child-free trip to Rome.
BB Easton is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, the hilarious, steamy, tell-all memoir that inspired the Netflix Original Series, SEX/LIFE. Within the first month, SEX/LIFE was viewed by 67 million households worldwide, making it the 3rd Most-Watched Netflix Original Series of all time.
BB was a stressed-out school psychologist and mother of two when the inspiration to write 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN struck. Through that process, she rediscovered her passion for writing, became dangerously sleep-deprived, and finally mustered enough courage to quit her job and become a full-time author.
BB went on to publish four more wickedly funny, shockingly steamy, and heartwarmingly autobiographical books in the 44 CHAPTERS series: SKIN, SPEED, STAR, and SUIT. Since then, she's been hard at work writing fictional stories that appeal to her love for us-against-the-world romance, including a dystopian trilogy (PRAYING FOR RAIN), a psychologist-client romantic comedy (GROUP THERAPY), and a dark mafia romance (DEVIL OF DUBLIN).
This was definitely a laugh out loud short story. I had real tears from laughing so hard. I can only imagine being a flight attendant with all that happening hahahaha. This was so witty and just a feel good read.
Operation: Mile High Club is (absolutely not surprisingly!) hilarious and honest, with a delightful amount of steam. BB's brand of humor and self-deprecation is always so relatable and endearing. Once again my favorite has nailed it!
I have to say that while everything didn’t turn out how I wanted when I started out, I will always love the balance of BB’s exuberance and wildness with Ken’s dependable pragmatism. I now fully value a man who can stay on top of the mortgage and plan for the future, while also believing these men need a little spark plug keeping them on their toes. I love you, BB - please keep sharing your stories with us. There is something extra special about your memoirs/fact-based fiction.
