Being Indian we are already aware of the diversity of cultures that define our country. But when you push through the doors and start exploring the cultures of the world, you are in for a delightful journey.
It’s no secret that every culture of the world has its unique ways of expression in the form of traditions, language, clothing, food, and many more. And so, to explore them, these forms of expressions are the best way to start with.
“The Culture of Clothes” is a book that is going to take you through some of the most notable countries and their traditional clothing designs which are unique and characteristic to them. From the traditional Hanbok of South Korea to the Banjara women of India, from the Alsatian dress of France to the Maasai warrior of Kenya – this book is a vibrantly illustrated collection for that curious explorer in you. The cultures from all the different continents of the world – Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Oceania – find a place in this book.

Beautifully illustrated and including many different cultures and their clothes from all over the world. This book is officially labelled as a children's book, but I think any age can read it and learn a bit about other cultures' traditional clothes. This was such a joy to read and look at.

Beautiful illustrations and educating content! My sister and my daughter love this book too. My baby girl is kicking air when she is excited or interested. As she looks at the picture, she can stare at it in longer time. I bet, the color is so attractive that she is charmed by it.
This book is enjoyable for all ages. It makes me even more respect to every traditional clothes. It is the most fabulous way to introduce our nationality as some of garments made of sources that are only available in their home country, some accessories are not only to beautify the wearers but to make a statement of their religion/occupation, and some clothes are actually a story inherited through patterns.
I hope there will be second or third book of The Culture of Clothes, (because we know there are more traditional clothes that are not covered in this book) under the same writer and same illustrator.
This book is enjoyable for all ages. It makes me even more respect to every traditional clothes.
