Story leaves you wanting more
Although this is a short story I am in love with it! I loved going back into the Rousseau town yet again. Maybe just maybe Tijan will do a followup book to this, I know I would love to read more about Kess and Wraith!

Super short novella that revolves around a first date, one night stand that turns into lots and lots of sex. The end.
The three stars is because it’s in the Crew/Roussou/FallenCrest world. Plus, it’s Tijan so the writing is engaging even though there isn’t really much of a story.

I love this author and she always manages to make me addicted to the story! This wasn't any different!
I am glad to see that there can be a full future book for them, but on one side it's kind of finished for me.

I don't know how she does it but each one of Tijan's short stories she writes leaves me wanting so much more. I become so hooked on the story and the characters I spend time imagining how the rest of their story will go hanging for when Tijan will say the full novel is coming.
Kess is no different. Based in Roussou which if you have read Fallen Crest you will know from that series but more so from the Crew series. The only other girl that was part of the crew system besides Bren we don't really know anything about Kess, even in this story, we get a very simple background on her and her life, and we are left wanting so much more. Christopher (Wraith) is a mystery himself to us and to Kess, we do get plenty of answers here. But it's the build-up to what will be a great full-length novel between the 2 that gets you well and truly sucked in.
Kess is finishing her last day at Roussou high, detention and all but it's when she leaves and the very mysterious and hot Christopher is waiting for her by her bike that her day gets good. He's almost never in school and no one asks why, no one talks to him and he talks to no one, it seems though that's about to change because it's clear he has something to say today.
Wraith has watched over Kess for the whole school year and now she's finished he's done. He has also wanted her for most of that time, how no one pays her any attention is beyond him. This is his last chance to have her before he has to leave. He has no idea if Kess is up for it but he certainly is going to hope she is.
Kess is furious when she finds out a secret he kept from her and if it wasn't for his MC business involving part of her crew she would have walked. Now though she doesn't want to leave him and one night just doesn't seem like it will be enough.
Where can it go from here with Kess off to college and Wraith going home to his MC?

I need more of Kess and Wraith!!!!
This is more of the beginning of their story. We get to meet them both, get both of their POVs, and I quickly fell in love with both characters. This is part of the Crew world, Kess being the only other female in the system. But her crew has disbanded, with some of them leaving the state and the remaining members ignoring Kess for an unknown reason. But when their is a threat on her life (that she is unaware of) Wraith, MC royalty and recent prospect, gets sent to watch after her. He stays away from her for the entire school year but can't resist talking to her before getting called back on his last day. There had been an instant attraction between these two when he first came to the school and when they get close to each other, their chemistry sparks to life. We were given a glimpse into what's coming next for these two and I an salivating for more!!

Although a novella I loved this book!!
He's dark and mysterious, their connection is steaming hot.
He's there to un-knowningly protect her, he wishes he was doing something more useful for his MC family. and can't wait for this assignment to end.
But them emotions get involved!! Holy hotness overload !! I devoured every page !!
Oh how I love this author, and how she writes. The plot is always intriguing and captivates me from beginning to end. I always want more and she never fails to give us characters that walk the path of life to their own tune !!!
This hot biker is no exception and I couldn't get enough, the novella leaves it open for the possibility of even more from this couple and I'm left absolutely excited at that prospect !!!

I hate that this was a novella. If you have followed Fallen Crest series and The Crew series you will understand. We met Wraith and Kess briefly in other books but they are essential players in what could be a new series about the Red Demons MC. The Demons are connected to Bren, her brother, and Fallen Crest characters. So...please give me a complete novel with Kess and Wraith and a Red Demons series. Thank you. I appreciate it. Tijan rocks. Y'all need to read her work. Get sucked in to all the drama, the pain, heartache, the need, the desire, the love, the family that makes up the worlds Tijan creates.

In this novella connected Tijan's characters from the Crew and Roussou worlds, and their connection to violence and mafia ties. Tijan's description of her characters is always one of the greatest thing I look forward to when I pick up a Tijan book, and even her novellas don't disappoint.

i definitely LoVe Tijan’s writing. This was good, but short and lacking the details she usually has down to a T.
I found myself with more questions that have no answers: which girl put the drugs in the bathroom? Taz? Who left the note on the door? Why was her twin brother responsible for their crew being disbanded? Who was he protecting her from all year? None of the nine months of foreplay was included. Which pig did Johnny work for? I am almost positive that this is the epilogue from another book previously that did not answer the question of: what happened to these two in the end? Would definitely recommend reading The Crew series beforehand.

This story was a quick filler to read between Crew Princess and Always Crew...related but with completely different characters. I liked both Kess and Christopher as characters, but I disliked the concept of Kess' crew (or now lack thereof, I guess) when I'm so used to how the Wolf Crew and others have been run. Tijan wrote this story well, so I didn't feel like it needed to be longer.
The narration, however, left something to be desired. Both voices were very nasally, and the female narration lacked inflection, even with dialogue. I stuck with it throughout the entire story, but I'm glad it was a novella.

It has the underlying danger, the protective alpha and the feisty girl ready to fight for her life and the ones she cares about. I’ve always amaze at what this author can pack in a book, let alone how good she can make only 47 pages.
Kess is an easy read that you will totally be on board with if you are also a fan.

Kess finds out that Christopher, who she knows has an Uncle who is part of the Red Demons, has been watching her for the last 9 months. She doesn't know why and Christopher doesn't want to tell her. Suffice to say, she is shocked to find out his true mission in town. Though they did feel sparks, she kind of caved pretty quickly about forgiving him. It was a really quick read and left me wanting much more.

It was a short story and it did leave me wanting more of it but the whole time I kept on racking my brain about “who are Kess and Christopher?” “Which book of the crew series were they mentioned first?”
It was a constant battle of recognising them and concentrating on the current storyline, which didn’t feel all that great.
Though if Tijan ever decides to make this into a full book I’d be damn sure to read it!

Biker romance
Beautifully written with good characters and dialogue from the few chapters of this little book. Good opening to what seems a promising story. So why the two stars, too short only a few chapters and way overpriced for what you get. I was really disappointed because I wanted more but if this series is going to be in clusters of chapters then my ride with these two stops here.
It's very frustrating because this had me and I was all in.

For a short story this has everything, intrigue, spice, conflict which all together makes you want more. Set I. The fallen crest/roussou world Kess is a girl in highschool who’s crew recently disbanded making her feel melancholy and sort of lost. In comes Chris “Wraith” who has ties to the local MC club. I just loved it, it gives us a little taste but gives most everything you’d want especially for a short story.

Just read this thinking it was new and possibly leading into a new book or series based on these characters
It isn't. It's a "taste" of two people who hook up. No relationship, nothing but a one night stand.
If you haven't read it, don't.

A super short (1 hour) audio, narrated by Sean Annis and Jay Alder. Guess what? I loved it. I loved that it was in the Crew/Roussou world and that I knew some of the characters. The only thing is, it leaves you wanting for more, and I’m hoping that we will get a full length novel with Kess and Wraith in College. Fingers crossed. Great story, great characters and great narration. A full five stars from me.

short but sweet
Enjoyed the book. Tijan’s writing style pulls you into the story becoming invested in the characters. I so wish this had been a long novel. I just want more from Kess and Wraith. No cheating, HFN, no cliffhanger per say, just prelude to more happening in future stories….at least I hope so. Thanks Tijan for the story.

didn’t realize how short it was when I purchased
The book has the potential to be really great
However due to it being so short, it’s hard to get invested in the characters.
I was excited when I saw Taz make an appearance
And I like to read more about the MC and even when Chris and Tess go to college
But there just wasn’t enough in this book
