Just when I get my happy ending, dark entities arrive in town to screw everything up!
Here I am, blissfully minding my own business, tattooing the residents of Silver Springs when I'm thrown into the middle of a fight between the witch covens who believe my nerdy necromancer sweetheart, Daire, is responsible for ghosts attacking the town.
Of course, my witch sweetheart, Ian, is the High Priest of one of those covens. Now, he's torn between his friendship with Daire and the powerful coven members who are too scared to figure out the truth and want to banish Daire from town.
If all that isn't enough, I find my mother's lost diary with a little ghostly help of my own. Is someone trying to help me buy a vowel by giving me the diary? Will it lead me to the truth about my mother's death, which might be connected to the poltergeist attacks? Sadly, her diary is bound with blood magic and I'm a psychic with zero magical abilities.
Time is running out and I can't lose my mates. Can my vampire sweetheart, Aiden, help me unravel the mystery of the cursed diary before everything comes crashing down?
Humorous Paranormal Romance/Fantasy Romance RH.
Note that Dahlia 2: With a Side of Fries is the sequel to Dahlia and is part of the Spell Library and Silver Springs Library World.
There is strong language, steamy scenes and plenty of strong female action.

It was sheer luck that I finally hit Dahlia’s story in my TBR pile a few short days after the sequel was released, but I’m grateful it worked out that way! I really enjoyed this sequel, there were a lot of unanswered questions despite the HEA in the first one - mostly regarding Dahlia’s mother and her powers, but also involving the guy’s pasts, especially Aiden’s, and their fears/weaknesses. I’m really glad we got to see the more serious side of all of them, where they had to put in the relationship work and be honest with themselves and each other to defeat a common enemy.
The heat & romance were perfectly balanced; if you were missing a group scene in the first book… ;) I won’t spoil it for you but definitely read if you’re looking at the reviews for a sign.
There was less one-liners and general hilarity, but the storyline more than made up for it. It keeps you engaged and guessing right up until the end and the twist/resolution couldn’t be more satisfying. I really love how that worked out! Overall really enjoyed Dahlia & her guys, and I hope that we get more of them at some point!
Dahlia is back and she’s facing an old enemy she doesn’t know. The clock is racing against Dahlia and her mates as they try to find the person From Dahlia’s past, the person who killed her mon. Can Dahlia figure out who this person is? Can Daire help or will the coven lame the blame at his feet? Will Ian be able to help without being accused of conflict? Aiden’s solid presence is a balm Dahlia needs, but what’s going on with him?
This adventure back to Silver Springs is full of thrills and mystery. It’s a fun time with laughs and some steam!
Okay, first of all... it was so good. Slightly darker than the usual Silver springs books. But not too much, which is good balance. I liked how we get to learn more about Dahlia's powers. The mystery was gripping as well. I couldn't guess until the end who was the culprit. I was go glad to see some of the characters from the other books, like Gray.
Secondly, are we going to get a book on Charlie next? Because, I would love to read it. Also, another thing hinted towards the end of the book.
There are enough steamy scenes, comic relief, bromances. Yes, everything was perfect for me.
Tabitha Barret is absolutely notorious for her delightfully fleshed out protagonists, enticing and interactive concepts with engaging plot follow-through, and delightful arrays of inclusive side characters and visionary world building. You don't want to let this one pass you by. A witch that see things when she touches people. She-channels this ability into the most beautiful tattoos for her clients. She has sworn off dating because she sees the breakup when she first touches the guy. What's the fun in dating when you know how it's going to end?
Dania and her men must learn not only to communicate with each other but also to be honest with themselves. As Dahlia learns more about her powers there is one who wants to use her for evil. Can she find and defeat him before he breaks her? I love how Dahlia keeps evolving as she learns more about herself and what she can do. I feel like there's no end to her strength and abilities.
I loved the end of this one! No spoilers, but I didn't see it coming. I can't wait to see what kind of adventures lay ahead of them. I also very much want to know about the unexplained vision that may lead to some more happy endings. As always a great book and a must read! Please keep them coming.
I love this series and this book is no exception. It may even be one of the top titles in my opinion due to the inclusion of some aspects of a cozy. Barret adds enough twists and turns to the story to keep it interesting and the reader guessing. In line with the rest of the series, but before you get there the bad guy runs amok. There is even a great teaser for the next book without being one of those awful cliffhangers. If you like your why choose stories leaving you smiling, you will want this one.
In this second book about Dahlia we learn that there are problems with her mate, Daire. His necromancer powers are getting out of hand. And he is being blamed by the coven for the poltergeist entities running around town creating havoc.
Dahlia must look into her past to fix her present and have a future. I enjoyed this book so much!
I really enjoyed reading about Dahlia and her mates again. It was great to see what was going on with them and to get some answers to questions about her past that I have had. And the little mystery thrown it was amazing too. Great story to get you through the day
Very good sequel filled with fun characters and plenty of steam. The romance is not lagging either. Lots of action and drama keeps you entertained. The story ends on a HEA but has an opening for a possible third book. An excellent addition to the Silver Springs universe. Definitely recommend.
I had some trouble really getting into it for some reason, but still it was nice to revisit some of the more endearing characters and settings in the Silver Springs world.
A great book, Dahlia's interaction with her men is a delight to read. A witty fast paced book that leaves you wanting more, leaves you wanting to learn more about Dahlia and her world that her and her men are navigating together 🥰🥰
Dahlia and her men are such a lot of fun to watch change and grow. This was a great addition to their story, and makes me hope we will be seeing them all again.
It's a very emotional journey for the characters and learning secrets and lies aren't good and blaming people for what they can't explain because they are different.
