A senseless killing. A strange coincidence. A disturbing secret. When a plastic surgeon is murdered outside his clinic, Tyson and his Navy buddy, JD, search for the motive. Was he the target of a sinister plot, or was it just random violence? As the duo digs up evidence, a shocking coincidence turns things upside down. The deputies head down a serpentine path full of wicked surprises and ruthless villains. To complicate matters, a young girl goes missing. Has she run off to pursue her dreams of stardom? Or has she met a terrible fate? The only person who has a clue isn’t talking. JD’s on the mend, Scarlett returns to LA, and Tyson has an unusual encounter. There’s something vile on the island, and the deputies may have to sacrifice everything to get to the truth. It’s beer, boats, and bikinis as the best friends bring their brand of justice to the Florida Paradise. The characters are likeable enough and the Florida keys locale is perfect. The stories are entertaining but really push the boundaries of plausibility. Nobody gets that much sex, no cop can kill that often, and nobody does the job for free. The same phrases are used from book to book; whiskey is always "amber liquid", the guys who hang out at the practice studio are always described as " the usual miscreants", etc. It seems the books are written by several people who have been given a formula to follow. Let's face it, nobody can write 35 books in a year. This could be a much better series if more attention were paid to quality over quantity. One last item; when Tyson and JD go to a restaurant, nobody cares what they order or how it was cooked. Nobody cares how or why a helicopter can fly. All this unnecessary detail adds nothing to the story; it seems the purpose of this is to up the page count. But, realistically, if these books were really good, they wouldn't be on Kindle Unlimited.
I always find the adventures of Tyson and JD entertaining. The plots are good, and this was one of the best, but mainly I keep reading because I like the characters. Besides Tyson and JD, I think I would like Sheriff Daniels and Denise a lot if they were real people. I’ve read every single book and look forward to Wild Jewel.
Tyson goes on living a charmed life . The keys are a place where fantasies come true and tragedies are common . But booze and beauties abound, usually on boats so the stories continue.
Once again coconut creek is safe and murder and mayhem lead the list of solved crimes Tyson finds a hottie that he finally cools down now her daddy is looking to make him a stuff in the morgue ciao from costa Rica ...
Tyson and JD are assigned to the murder case of a prominent cosmetic surgeon. As the investigation continues seemingly unrelated information is discovered leading to missing girls and more killings. A great story.
My monthly fix is satisfied... I wait for these books to come out and wind up reading them in a couple hours and find myself thrilled but sad I have to wait to read more...
Get one mystery on the table and it grows into many more mysteries. It would be nice if JD were more active in the situations. Guess that's why the sheriff calls him a nitwit.
