Monroe works for Syndicorp, and they're detetrmined to open two new superstores in Roanoak Falls. But with the full moon on the rise, she's not sure she'll be able to pull it off.
When Wren's heat gets turned off, she winds up having to bunk in with a practical stranger - but there's something strange about her that she can't quite figure out.
With the fate of the town on the line, will Wren's old crush save the day, or make everything worse?
Monroe acquires land for Syndicorp, a multinational corporation building stores everywhere, stifling local businesses. Wren works in a small local hardware store in Roanoak Falls, a struggling small town in the Midwest USA. They meet when Monroe comes to the hardware store to buy a cable, and Wren manages to upsell her a vacuum cleaner. This is another in the Bears series; I felt this was not so engaging as the others I have read, even though both Monroe and especially Wren are lovely, well written characters. We also get a good appearance from Andie and Cat from the first book in the series. This story didn’t seem to flow as well as the others, however, it’s still a good book, certainly well worth reading.
