A new-age story about forgiveness, first loves, and starting over.

When Owen Chase left his hometown of Cape Charles, Virginia five years ago, he didn’t give it a second thought. How could he when every time he thought of the beautiful coastal town with its sandy beaches and frothy waters, he thought of the heartache he left behind?

Some would call him a coward for running away from his problems, but he didn’t care. Moving to New York was one of the best choices Owen could have made for himself. He’s thriving, living the dream as a successful graphic designer with a phenomenal loft in the center of Manhattan that most would kill for.

Then why does it feel as if something is missing?

No, not something…

Someone.

The one person he’s tried to forget about for years.

Now that his sister and best friend have had a baby together, Owen has to return home and face his past. Will he finally right all of his wrongs, or is it too late?

Decent shorter read, some would likely say she forgave him to easily but there was a 5 year separation so…
Bring a small town I just wanted to know who the ow was or confirm my suspicions and I picked it a mile away.

I went in blind but this is a second chance romance with a cheating trope. The story follows Owen and Faith five years after their split and is told in the POV of Owen. The cheating trope isn’t really for me but the story was good. I was surprised to read a book exclusively in the male’s POV, especially since *spoiler alert* he was the guilty party.

I would have loved a second POV from Faith just to see where her head was at. It took a while for me to get over my own petty ways and be okay with her accepting him so fast, but this is a short read so I should have expected that.

All in all, the story was good and the relationships were well crafted. I’m excited to see where this author’s writing journey takes them!
