THE LINK: WELCOME TO HUMANITY

Rate this book
Reggie thinks he's figured out a way to bring the humans of Earth into the fold of advanced humanity among the stars. But initiating contact could jeopardize the link—the universal network of the mind that he and greater humanity rely on to communicate and travel. Forced to choose between acting immediately or forever giving up on enlightening the people of Earth, Reggie decides to risk his career, his way of life, and the link itself to make his dream a reality.

When he transmits his specially designed signals directly to the minds of a select group of Earthfolk, things get . . . intense. Containing the effects of his transmissions challenges his "advanced" nature, and turns his experiment into a desperate effort to understand what it means to be human. Was he motivated by altruism? Or did he simply get too close to one of his research subjects on Earth?

Humanity

An interesting look at humanity and how others may perceive us, earth folk.
A good book for someone interested in sociology.

Grabbed this as an ARC, and thought I'd traverse through it at leisure, but found myself rooting for the characters and reading it over a few weekends.

Zanotti has built a weird, wonderful world and a cast of characters you root for, including the inestimable Reggie as the good-hearted yet misunderstood-other-world-scientist-meets-earthlings leader. Thick with sardonic humor and an appraising, outside view of our world, with winks and knowing nods to the frequent sitings of UFOs in New Mexico, it leaves the reader wishing for more.

This is Sci-Fi meets regular folk in an approachable package, with compelling characters and a reimagined Venus.

Lighthearted and heartfelt, it's worth grabbing and gifting to the Sci-Fi lover in your own personal orbit.

I was blessed with the ability to read this book prior to publication, and let me tell you if you love sci-fi and lush scenery along with brilliant characters, this is the book for you!

Zanotti has such a way with words, it draws you in to the story and makes you want to keep reading. I couldn’t put it down! You’ll become so invested with the characters and plot that you won’t realize it’s suddenly 3 am and you should have been asleep 5 hours ago!
