Caliph don't like it! 🎶Rock in the casbah, rock in the casbah!🎶 This Fictional ADULT Viking🐺🍆⛲💪🔪 Romance💕 and Adventure⛵ story is based on actual buried treasure💰 found in Gottland in 1999. The treasure consisted mainly of a horde of ancient Arabic coins💰, proving that trade for spices and silks did exist long ago between these disparate countries and cultures.
Author Thornton📚 goes on to create an ADULT 💘love story between a Viking Jarl🐺🍆⛲💪🔪 and the daughter💃💋 of a caliph, who was taken prisoner from a raiding ship⛵ in the Jarl's waters.
This is the 2nd book in The Viking Hearts Series, and it is just as good as the 1st one. This is Samara and Valen's story. This book has a definite clash of cultures. The characters were superb in their conception, I just loved them This is a short story that is packed full of adventure, betrayal and anything else that makes a great read, as was the 1st book.

This was an interestingly well-written book 2 in The Viking Hearts Series with well developed characters. The story and characters interested me from the beginning and I read it cover to cover without stopping. I liked the characters while watching them grow together and they worked well together. I found this book to have great word building which made me feel apart of the story as it unfolded. A must read for any fan of Viking stories. This Viking historical romance novella is part of the Viking Hearts Series, however it can be read as a standalone in a 3 book series.

This was a shorter read. I did like the blurb but found the story to be a bit disappointing to me. While I liked the premise of the book, I just thought the execution was not as great as it could be. Samara and Valen's interactions just seemed so placed and static. I guess I was expecting more excitement from the forbidden quality to the relationship. 3.5 stars
Secrets and a clash of cultures propel this forbidden romance that is book 2 in this Viking series. Once again, the author has not disappointed and the book easily lives up to the blurb if not surpasses it. Straight onto book 3 I go!

Caleb and Sandra find romance and love when she ends up as a guest in his home after she is saved from pirates. They keep fighting falling in love as the both have family obligations.
I loved this enchanting tale of an Arabian princess and a Viking jarl that suffer an impossible love due to the obligations of their high-ranking positions and their very different backgrounds.
Samara and Valen were never supposed to meet...with different lives and responsibilities. However, when Samara's taken from her ship by a rogue Viking she is thrust into a vastly different (and open) world that allows her to breathe without the Caliph's rules and walls. Valen is immediately intrigued by the foreign, devastatingly beautiful Samara. Samara thrives in her new life and loves her future with Valen.
Forbidden Viking provides a short but spicy viking romance. I haven't read a Viking romance in a long time but I enjoyed dipping my toe back into this genre. Valen and Samara undergo a few challenges as they grow closer including the Caliph's return, coming from different worlds, and ... "don't think, feel what your heart wants. Love can vanish in a heartbeat and all that you are left with are memories, little glowing embers to light the path through the darkness and pain that follows. Love him while you can." (pg. 79) Samara and Valen must decide if their brief moment together will last only a moment or the rest of their lives.
