Jared and Madison
If you are drawn to books that take you on a real rollercoaster ride of emotions this book is for you. Besides his band, Thrill of the Chase, the other most important thing in Jared’s life is his dad. It means everything to him that his dad is taken care of. Madison wants nothing more to see that the man she is caring for is getting the best from her. It was great watching Jared and Madison’s relationship grow. Believe me you will have your heart broken but then this author makes sure that she puts that heart of yours back together again. This is an author I will definitely be following from here on out.

From the first page, this book brings you into the emotions and attachments felt by our characters and it keeps its hold all the way through. Jared and Madison are magnets drawn to each other, unable to resist the pull. Christopher is the central point that brings them together, and so many aspects of him lead to the many peaks and valleys of this roller coaster ride.
These characters feel so relatable and flawed and natural and beautiful. We have so many people throughout our lives that trigger these same emotions and desires and moments - they feel like home, like our own lives. Jared and Madison have so much chemistry, and yet are so afraid to explore it. Christopher is suffering dementia and his happiness is so bright when he is happy that it is blinding. This book brought me to tears multiple times - throughout so many interwoven aspects. Healthcare needs and the health of our loved ones, the ways it can affect how we treat others, the way it can feed into fears of needing and loving someone, the ways our parents can make us feel, even as grown adults with thoroughly chaotic lives of our own. It could have been almost any of our stories, but told so much more beautifully than I think we would have remembered our experiences.
I'm looking forward to going back through the first 2 books of this series to see what ties together and what is standalone, but I didn't really feel like I was missing anything reading this as a standalone. I think I found a new favorite author!

This book was truly amazing, from start to finish, I felt so much, I really felt for the characters and what they endured in life and what they had to do, well to get through life. The book was real as it could get with characters and emotions, and life being itself. This was a wild ride, one that I would surely ride again!
What got me truly with those heart strings of mine, was not the romance of a relationship with a girl working out for Jared, but with his own father. I truly felt the emotions of how he cared for him and wanted to be a good and good for his father type of son. You could tell at first glance that under some blankets issues were there, be it with Jared or his father. I really enjoyed their side of the story, getting all those emotions and feels, I learned things about Jared I did not expect to, and it really made me want to reach out and hug him truly! I loved how much Jared truly loved his father and respected him despite his life as a rock star, I did not expect that, but it was wonderful and full of heart, loved that!
Madison was his father's nurse. Though she was a nurse providing care. I could sense she felt the same and cared for him on a friend level rater more than just patient and nurse type of level. I found the chemistry with Madison and Jared wonderful as well. It was very convincing and you knew the passion was there the more time they spent together, though you knew bot were reluctant to allow either of themselves to feel anything for one another, despite what ever excuse that may be. This is what I loved about this book, it was not your traditional guy meets girl, fall in love with a dash of issues. There was so much to this story that was full of heart and emotion! It is a rare read, and a delightful/powerful one!

And by telling off his son in an email that he demanded daily, she might have just lost another job.
Jared Shaw is a rock god. Jared has been at the top of the rock game for nearly a decade. It was hard getting there. He lost so much along the way, sort of including his last family member, his dad. Jared is caring for his dad the only way he knows how and following his dad's wishes. When Madison calls him out in an email, Jared wants her head and her job. Jared slips into the facility where his father resides to take what he wants but is waylaid by a miracle.
Will Jared be able to handle allowing Madison to continue caring for his father? Will Madison lose everything, including her heart, because of Jared? Can Jared find peace with his dad before it is too late?
The author makes sure that you feel all the feels. When Madison is down, the sadness is real. When Mr. Christopher is happy, the elation is so high. When the heart breaks, it breaks for everyone….everyone!!! I am just joining this series. I can only hope that the others are this good. I couldn’t put this one down. Who needs sleep anyways.

Embracing Jared is the third book in the Thrill of the Chase series. I absolutely loved reading this book and found myself crying to the point of ugly crying a couple times. I’m a huge fan of Rock Star Romance and this one tops the list. The author did a wonderful job and her style of writing and attention to detail simply amazes me. Her characters are relatable very well written and I love them all. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down. This is Madison and Jared’s story. He’s a Rock Star and has worked very hard to get where he’s at. He’s already lost so much along the way and is now trying to provide care for the only way he can. Madison is a caregiver and RN and cares for patients whose famlies seem to have forgotten about. She’s found herself in a situation with her current patient who has a son that wants daily updates through email she might have just lost her job. These two goodness gracious their chemistry is off the charts. Can Jared let Madison continue to care for his dad? Will Madison loose her heart along with everything because of him? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional rollercoaster ride. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I picked this novel up after I had already read a couple of similar novels by other authors and was very intrigued to see the difference between their writing styles and this author. I can certainly say I was very pleased to find that the one of the main characters, being Jared, isn’t your typical ‘perfect’ male lead, rather, we’re introduced to his speech impediment quickly. It’s not very often you pick up a romance novel that includes someone that is less than perfect in the simplest of ways. Despite this, he is every bit as swoon worthy, with this my father comes first mentality. It was only right that he met someone that felt the same way. Madison is his father’s nurse, and is fully committed to the well-being of Mr. Christopher, putting him first despite what the consequences. This novel was heartwarming, tear-jerking, the losses and gains throughout created this enthralling read.
I adore the way this author brings the reader into their world, I personally felt as though I was walking the halls with Jared as he went to visit his father the first time since Madison or “Cookie” had started working, and felt the emotional turmoil that goes along with such. You feel connected to not only the two main characters, but Jared’s band mates, and as we come to feel the intensity of their friendships, they’re not only friends, but family as well. Overall, the character building, the story that unfolds, and the emotions that swirl off the pages are simply addicting. I very much look forward to reading the rest of the novels in this series. I’ll be back!

Embracing Jared was an incredibly emotional ride that shredded my heart but thankfully the author put it back together. This is my first book by this author and her ability to make me feel so much will have me on the lookout for her future books.
Jared Shaw pays rhythm guitar for the band, Thrill of the Chase. He’s traveled the world and made music with his best friends who have become like brothers. His father, Christopher, suffers from dementia and is being cared for in a nursing facility. Jared requires the nurse to email him daily updates. Madison Cole's job as a nurse has cost her many things in her life. She loves to care for patients that have family that don’t visit like they should. She has a caring as well as professional relationship with Christopher and she’s angry with Jared so she blows him out in an email. She assumes she’s lost another job until she meets Jared. Their chemistry is instant and hotly intense.
This story and the emotions within really hit me hard. So much about Christopher and Jared reminded me of my mom and I. She passed five years ago after suffering for ten years, dementia being one of her issues. I felt Jared’s pain and Madison’s feelings of injustice for her beloved patient. I love how the author orchestrated their story. I highly recommend this beautiful story to anyone who loves to read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This is a rockstar romance and is part of A Thrill Of The Chase series. I loved the author attention to detail and how the characters are written in a way that makes them relatable. Both of the main characters are strong determined people who have their own minds and plans. The story is fast paced and has you hooked from the beginning.
Jared is a member of the band. The band is his whole life. The only other thing more important to him that his band is his dad.
With his dad in care Jared struggles with worry about whether his father is getting the best care. When the person who is supposed to following his instructions doesn't do that Jared is looking to get rid of her.
The interactions between Jared and Madison especially at the beginning are full of angst as they both want the same thing. Jared wants his dad looked after and Madison wants to care for him the best she can.
It is important for Jared to honour a promise he made and that is his main focus, but when he meets Madison things change. Will they be able to work together to achieve something they both want?
As their relationship grows you are taken on a ride that will leave you in tears from both heartbreak and happiness. I was completely taken away with this story and the author's writing really captives you and drags you into their lives.

Whoa! What a story! Really.. I was blown away! What I love about this is the look behind the rock star. Sure there are band moments but this really is about Jared and his life. I enjoyed how little moments became larger moments and really I just loved Jared and his devotion to Mr C.
The feelings displayed by the characters and also *felt* by the reader are immense. Many times I want to Hoot and Holler for Jared and other times I wanted to put my hand on his shoulder in commiseration. I really felt his joy even if they were happy tears. Cookie is a delight. Feisty, sassy and stands up for herself. I loved her interaction with Mr C. She is someone everyone would love to have on their staff.
I love and enjoy seeing all the guys in the band. They are truly brothers first and band members second. It shows over and over in this story. I love the joking and noodling. Even when Kade laid into one of the other characters…I was like..Yup don’t mess with him!

Embracing Jared is the third book in the Thrill of The Chase series by Anna Paige. It is a superb Rockstar romance, drama, chemistry, sparks, tension, brotherhood, family, and plenty of emotion.
As with the other two books in the series, it could be read as a standalone, but in doing that, I feel you would be doing yourself a disservice, as there is a lot of information and important details in the other books that would highly enhance your reading experience of this third instalment, as well as the series as a whole.
Again, the author has upped the ante and delivered a captivating story that enhances this fantastic series. It is Rockstar romance done right- with all the author’s clever touches and original take on the topic. I couldn’t have loved the characters, storyline and details any more than I did.
So, if you love Rockstar romance, contemporary romance, a captivating story, and endearing slightly flawed characters- then you really should do yourself a favour and grab yourself a copy of this book (and series) and fall in love with these wonderful characters, stories, and talented author.
This book has only reinforced the fact that I am addicted to the ‘Thrill of the Chase’ and am an Anna Paige junkie- I soooo can’t wait for my next fix!

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. I love a good rockstar romance but she exceeded all my expectations in this story. I felt all the emotions in this book so much I found myself crying in the end. This is the third book from the very addictive Thrill of the Chase series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are some previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end and I can't wait to see who she is going to write about next.
Jared Shaw is not your average guy. He is in a very known band called Thrill of the Chase. Jared can get any woman he wants but he is too busy for one. He loves his father so much he has the best of the best watching over him. He gets a very rude email from his fathers nurse and he needs to confront her. When Jared gets to the home his father is at he meets the beautiful Madison. He sees how amazing she is with his father but he doesn’t realize that Madison is the same nurse from the email. A huge problem goes down and he asks Madison to come with him to care for his dad. He starts to feel something he has never felt before but he doesn’t want to ruin his dad's life. Will Jared find his true love or will it all be ruined by his fame?

Embracing Jared (Thrill of the Chase #3) by Anna Paige
This is the first book I've read by the author. It's the third book in the Thrill of the Chase Series. Jared and Madison are cute and I was very happy to read their story.
Jared is after one thing and one thing only, getting the best care for his father. So when the new caregiver is being a pain he goes in person to confront her. Then he's grateful for her and asks her to be his father's private nurse. The quote I chose for Jared is: “That’s the first s-s-song I ever played. I l-l-learned it for my f-f-father because I knew it w-w-was his favorite. Because he w-w-was my hero. S-s -still is.”
Madison loves her job and gets attached to her patients. She gets protective of Mr. Christopher and when things go south she thinks of his safety before her own. She can't help but fall for Mr. Christopher's son although she knows she shouldn't. The quote I chose for Madison is: “Sounds good. Mr. Christopher, you sit tight for just a minute. Cookie will be right back, okay? Ethan is going to find a good station on the radio. He’s not from around here, so maybe you can help.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Having been dealing with dementia in my own family lately this novel hit deeply. At first I thought it would just be another feel good, bad boy meets good girl, good girl brings out true nature in bad boy which isn’t bad at all, but it is not. I did not read the first two books so I came in a little lost and although this can be a stand-alone book I wish I would have read them in order. Now I am going back and reading them again.
Another similarity in my life to this book is I am a nurse. I have been there with my patients when they don’t recognize their own children or when they tell you stories from their childhood as if they happened yesterday or when they cry out for someone they loved that has passed on but they no longer remember. I felt every moment of Madison’s journey. I think the way she handled Jared was exactly like she should have. When the children of your patients like to give orders, but keep their distance, most days you wish they were closer so you could slap some sense into them.
While this tale had it’s happy, feel good moments it had a deeper, stronger message. I laughed and I cried. I will be reading this one again!! Thank you to the author for putting out some amazing material.

Jared was a rockstar and he was angry as hell. He’d just been told off via email by his dads new nurse. All he wanted was for nurse Madison Cole to reach out to him at the times he’d set up on a schedule. She told him off and made him feel like he didn’t love his father. At first he was going to email her back or maybe have her fired but he decided to confront her in person. This starts off a chain of events and it was on. Jared’s dad was adorable and the father with dementia and son relationship had me misty. My mom has it and I can concur with Jared’s feeling of helplessness and guilt. Madison also understands how Jared feels about his dad and she knows she judged him incorrectly. I love that we get to hang at Millie’s Mountain again and their friends from there.
I didn’t like Madison very much. I found her touching, hugging and kissing Jared unprofessional and a little creepy because she was always making the first move. I also didn’t like her obsessive care of the old man, again creepy. This story was not as good as book one and two. I felt it dragged and we spend too much time on the old man’s care. Also Madison and Jared spend more time apart then together, not very romantic. The ending was really good and I’m giving it four stars.

This is the 2nd book in the series but each can be read as a stand-alone. I had read, and loved, the 2nd book but haven’t read the first book, something I need to remedy.
This book come under the trope of Rock Star romance but it is so, so much more than that. The author tackles 2 difficult subjects, those being speech difficulties and dementia, and she does so in an amazing manner. She really highlights the pain and suffering that those with these issues, and their loved ones, go though. She does an incredible job of tugging at the heartstrings and taking you through an emotional roller coaster of a journey.
I adored both of the main characters Jared and Madison (Cookie). I totally fell in love with Madison’s character immediately, when I read the email reply that she sent to Jared. She’s a total badass who is damn good at her job and takes no prisoners. Jared really tore at my heartstrings. I just wanted to give him a huge hug so many times. Just how much can one man take in his life. The very fact that I had so many emotions just shows how well this author is at character building.
I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this series.

Wow… this is so not your typical rockstar romance but it will literally blow your mind. I was crying and laughing and just all over the place emotionally as I read this book and it was a beautiful mess that I can’t wait to experience again someday soon. I love when a book is so good you want to dive right back in! This right here is one of those you will want to own and do just that with over and over again. I loved Jared. He makes you want to hug and hold him as he struggles to protect his father and his heart all at the same time. I am not going to tell you if he will get his happy ending or if he will make it through because I won’t ruin books for people but I will tell you DO NOT WAIT to buy this sucker and dive right in to find out for yourself. Get yourself something to drink and cozy up and prepare to be enamored with him as he traverses the hardest chapter of his life. We all go through this stage where we become the caretakers of our parents and that is never easy. This author has done a wonderful job of painting a realistic and beautiful picture of what that feels like and looks like and it shows in every word of this novel. Go grab your copy today!

I have to say that Embracing Jared is the most original rock star romance that I've read to date, and that alone was worth 5 stars. Jared is part of a famous band with his friends, but he still is trying to take care of his father, and the love he felt for his father seeped out of my kindle the whole time. Madison is his father's nurse, but she's the kind of nurse who will fight for her patients without even blinking an eye despite any consequences that would come, and she ends up sending an email to Jared that has him hightailing it home because he wants to get rid of her, however the best laid plans amirite?! It didn't exactly go according to plan when he got there, and a new journey was born. This story was so emotional that I was literally wrung out by the time I devoured every last page. I really want to shout every last detail from the rooftops but seriously, that would totally be a crime since experiencing Anna Paige can't be duplicated by any type of review so just hit those one click buttons & be ready for an emotional roller coaster ride that will definitely have every emotion out to play! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Embracing Jared (Thrill of the Chase, #3) by Anna Paige. This book was amazing and it made me laugh, cry and turn the pages as fast as I could. Its my favorite so far from the series although they are all good. This one is the story of Jared Shaw who is in the very popular band "Thrill of the Chase" but Jared's dad is very ill with dementia. He pays a facility a very large sum for him to have around the clock care. Deciding to go and check on his dad he meets his nurse Madison Cole who is very good at her job. One thing Madison gets very angry about is patients with family members who don't visit like they should. Christopher (Jared's Dad) is one of those patients and Madison emails with Jared daily so she decides to email him about not visiting. When Jared meets Madison he doesn't realize she is who sent him the scathing email. Jared thinks Madison is beautiful and their chemistry is instant. Will Madison lose her job due to the scathing email she sent to a very important client's family member. Will Jared forgive her once he finds out it was from her? Read Embracing Jared you won't be disappointed!

This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details. She pulls me into her stories from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a rockstar romance story that I really enjoyed. The characters are relatable and brought the story to life. I enjoyed their growth as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. The characters' chemistry is great and made them entertaining to read about. This is a story about a guitarist that is part of a band that means everything to him except for his father. He is one person that is more important and not only that but a promise has been made that he needs to keep. Then he meets her and things change for them. The one thing he never expected was to have her come into his life. What happens next you will have to read this book to find out. They are great characters that made the story for me. It is a fast paced, engaging story that I highly recommend.

A five-star read that will embrace you and make you feel complete. This is number three in the Thrill of the Chase series and its like the cherry on the top of an ice-cream Sunday, it just makes the whole thing so much better. Jared broke my heart, his passion for music and his farther were just sublime and showed on the page, you could feel his emotions pouring out. Everything he has been through, just made sense at every point of the story, he stays true to his promise and broke me. Cookie well cookie is a sweet and strong as the food her nickname is after, strong like a biscotti, but sweet like a chocolate chip. Madison and the sense of love for those in her care, showed what a difference a good care giver can bring to peoples lives. It was odd as I was having a total am I on the right path moment and reading about Madison and her passion, re-ignited mine, showing me why my role is so important. This author is one of those that makes you stop and think when you see their name on a novel, they make you want to drop everything to start reading.

Such a sweet story that drew happy tears on more than one occasion, I loved it! Embracing Jared hit me on a deep level. I felt sadness, anger, tears, happiness and love throughout. I’ve lost a family member to the dreadful disease that’s stealing Mr. Christopher’s life, so I can completely understand everything Jared is feeling when it comes to his father.
Madison, personifies the reason I actually decided the medical field wasn’t for me. I can’t disconnect, but neither can she. She cares fiercely for her patients and deals with the aftermath in her own time. OMG! As I sit here and try to write this review I still have tears running down my face from this amazing, emotional, exceptionally well written story! I am truly struggling to find the right words to fully do this book the justice it deserves. The entire time I was reading this book my heart was involved in every word and every turn of the page. A true sign of a great writer I say.

In fact I fell in love with all the main cast of characters and now I know some of them are in other books by this amazing author I will be finding them and reading them also. This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning and I loved Madison without fully meeting her yet just by the letter she sent to Jared.
Jared is a Rock star who loves music and his father. When he gets a sassy letter from his fathers caretaker he decides to take a trip to visit his dad and meet this woman to give her a piece of his mind. But when he meets Madison his plans change. They both have one thing in common, the best care for his dad. Jared also has a promise to keep.
Overall I really enjoyed this read, my emotions were all over the place. The characters were great, they have become one of my favorite couples in this series. The author does a great job with her writing. I was really happy with the ending. If you're looking for a great Rock star series this is the one for you, this book can be read as a stand alone but reading them in order gives you the best experience. 1-click and get started today.

Madison swoops right into Jared's life like a hurricane and knocks him right off his feet before he even realizes what's happening. I really love that Jared has a stutter and he isn't portrayed as this perfect shallow rock star, it makes him so much more endearing and adorable! He is so heart meltingly sweet with his father who has some memory issues. Madison misjudges Jared so harshly in the beginning nut once she meets him in person she realizes just how wrong she was. Once she starts to let her walls down, he works his way into her heart just as deeply as his father has. There are so many sweet moment interjected with the tears along the way, that this book had me hooked from the very first page. The ending is absolutely swoon worthy and this is a book that is definitely a must read. The other band members have some parts in this book that have me eager to go and read the first books in this series to find out more about them!

This book, Embracing Jared was such a great read. This book had me feeling so many different emotions. It was a very emotional read. Jared has his father Mr. Christopher in a home where he gets around the clock care and he donates a very large sum to the facility. When Jared decided he must go visit to find out why this nurse Madison is. It following his directions he is knocked on his behind. He overhears Cookie in his dads room singing to him and treating him amazingly. He soon finds out that Cookie and Madison is one in the same. No one cares for his dad like Madison has and he will stop at nothing to keep his dad happy and as healthy as can be.
Jared is a big time rockstar and basically has everything as his disposal. A lot happens in this book and makes you feel happy, sad and everything in between.
I definitely recommend this book if your in the mood for a sweet, emotional read.

This book was just simply amazing. This author really knows how to write amazing and realistic characters, and she puts so much heart and soul into them that you really feel all of the emotions that they are going through. This book will take you on a wild emotional ride and I would gladly sit through it again. There were times that u laughed, times that my eyes watered, and times that I bawled my eyes out but still couldn't stop reading. But I really felt for these characters, for the things they had to go through and just life in general. Full of romance, drama, chemistry, family, and of course several emotions this romance story has everything a romance reader could ask for. While it can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading them all as this author is just simply amazing and her characters are superb.

This book pulled at my heartstrings from the very beginning. Jared has been through so much with his bandmates and family. Losing his mom and sister, he only has his father left. He wants the best care for his father who’s health is going downhill. Jared has a speech impediment which made me love him even more for his imperfection. His father’s new caregiver, aka “cookie”, starts off on the wrong foot. Jared picks up and goes for his first visit in a couple months, with the intent to send her packing. At first meeting, she is not what Jared expected and he sees how much she cares for his dad.

Jared has always been the quiet one in TOTC family, something his brothers in the band understood. Honoring his father was an important part of who he is. Madison only wanted to help. Together the two of them sparked.
With appearances from characters from the Broken series, for those that have read, it will bring back memories of some amazing stories.
