Three's a crowd, but not when it comes to best mates, Briony,
Natalie and Lauren. As they tipsily toast to the future down their
favourite local, the Red Lion, the girls have never felt closer.

For Briony and Lauren at least, being intimate friends has taken
on a whole new meaning. But as things between them heat up,
does that mean they'll need to put a label on their relationship?

And will their provocative plot to wreak revenge on Briony's
devious ex-lover, Mani, work out, or succeed only in putting her
professional reputation on the line?

Meanwhile, Natalie's affair with her sexy spin instructor, Jason, is
now firmly behind her, and she is determined to keep the sparks
flying with her loyal hubby, Martin. That is until a girls' trip to a
swanky London hotel reveals her head and her heart are still at dangerous odds; an epiphany that will have dire consequences.

As the friends unite in the face of an unbearable tragedy; they'll
need each other - and ice cream - more than ever before . . .

First, I want to thank Terri Boas, Wrate’s Publishing and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

Ohh how I loved Terri Boas Two Scoops, Too Much that I was giddy with smiles throughout the book! Two Scoops, Too Much was beautifully written with something for everyone I feel. It is a must add to your tbr list as this book gets 5 stars from me!

The graphic designers did such a great job on the cover. The picture was perfect with the meaning behind it.

Terri dedicates this book to her bub Portia. It always seems impossible, until it is done.

Too Scoops, Too Much I found out later on was a sequel to her debut novel. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to read that book but could follow along easily. That being said I would have loved to read the first one to get a better sense of the backstory.

I love all things pop culture so I loved all the references that were dropped in this book! The mention of Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys had me laughing out loud. I am a HUGE Backstreet Boy fan and was able to meet him years ago!! Yes, I agree that he is handsome!

My heart just melted that two best friends finally found their way to each other! Their relationship was special and I just couldn’t stop smiling!

There were two storylines that important issues were addressed. One of them broke my heart into pieces as I never saw that one coming! My heart ached for so many people.

Terri is a fantastic writer and I would gladly read and review for her again.

This book picks up shortly after the events of the first book Two Scoops, Not Three. Natalie is dealing with the aftermath of her affair with her Personal Trainer and trying to fix her marriage to Martin, which isn’t going as smooth as she thought. Briony and Lauren have finally realised that they are more than just friends, embrace their feelings for one another and embark on a romantic relationship. When the trio are faced with an unexpected tragedy they band together and form an unbreakable bond.

I really enjoyed the first book and was eager to see what happened to the group next. I sometimes find that if I’ve read a second book in the series a long time after the first that it takes me a while to reconnect with the characters but that’s not the case with this book because as soon as I started to read it as like catching up with old friends. I really liked the storyline because it was a continuation of the story from the first book and didn’t try to dismiss the events of the first book but tried to incorporate what had happened especially in Natalie’s case. The characters as a whole are now dealing with their current situations but at the same time learning from the past. It is obvious that the trio have a very strong friendship and are more family than friends. What I love about the characters is that it reflected in some way the relationship that I have with my friends in that if I ever need them they are only a phone call or a text message away and that’s exactly what’s represented in this book. The twist in the storyline I didn’t see coming. Although the book did deal with quite a sad event there was also a bit of light entertainment in the revenge plot by Lauren and Briony against Mani for his behaviour which was both funny and entertaining. The scenes between Lauren and Briony as they start their romantic relationship were very sweet especially how they look after one another.

On the whole this was a great sequel to the first book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

A story about friendship and family!

This is one of those books you might take to the bath with you, play some soft soothing music and read until the bath water goes cold - but you stay in the cold water anyway because you're too engaged in the story to move! Not that I have ever done anything like that of course!

We follow three best friends Natalie, Lauren and Briony through some pretty dramatic events, the story is fast paced and there is always something happening. There is of course a strong focus on friendship, which I loved.

I got through this book much quicker than I expected to (Maybe because the bath water was so cold) and found it to be a really fun and enjoyable read.

This is a sequel to the book titled ‘Two Scoops, Not Three’ but can easily be read as a standalone.

A solid 4 star read!

I think I might have enjoyed this book a lot more if I'd read the first book first. I didn't really know the characters, so I struggled to connect with them. They actually seemed pretty unlikable at times, though that could just be because I didn't know them very well.

I actually did really like the author's writing style. While there was a lot going on in the book, I didn't struggle to focus on the book at all. It was a quick, entertaining read that's perfect for a warmer weekend!

Thank you Terri Boas and Rachel's Random Resources for the gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Having read the first book 'Two Scoops Not Three' I was keen to read this sequel.

It was great to continue following best friends, Natalie, Briony and Lauren on their adventures through life events. They always have something happening, and their friendship was just as strong as before in this book. So much so, whilst reading it makes you want to be friends with them too.
A lovely fun and enjoyable easy read. Hope there is a book #3 to follow!

I struggled with this one... taking into account it's chick lit, and not my usual genre I found it easy to read and the ideas well-written, but struggled as so much happens in such a small amount of time.

I feel if you are writing a book based on a real place (non fantasy) then the timeline should be interesting but over a week, two weeks, letting the ideas and story develop. This was an incredibly intense few days with extreme situations (hotel room raided, sexual harassment at work, switching from working on marriage to divorce, suicide...) but not enough depth to each individual idea or follow up on these, as would happen in real-life situations.

It feels like there's so many ideas here but not enough detail or completion on them for me. I can see potential to expand on a third book, I hope Terri focuses on 1 or two main plots per book and really gives detail on how the situation started and an ending to them. I am most concerned about Mart!!

Friendship under difficult circumstances is a great subject for a novel, and this sequel to Two Scoops, not Three certainly examines the friendship between three young women from every perspective. Two of the three women involved, Briony and Lauren, after enjoying a warm friendship in the previous book, have decided to take things further and have a deep, physical relationship. The third woman, Natalie, is rethinking everything after a messy affair with Jason, her spin instructor. As the women negotiate everything including their work, marriage and future, extreme events overtake them. With humorous dialogue, passionate moments and musical references, this is an entertaining book in a very contemporary style. The characters have depth and the settings are well described. Ranging from an office kitchen, through to a much loved local pub, a luxury hotel and homes, this is a book which covers a great deal of ground in many ways. It deals with highs and lows and the excitement of new love, as well as deep confusion as a relationship hits trouble. The three women are well developed characters who react to things in interesting ways; the author has really thought through how people react in different circumstances. I found this an interesting book that I was keen to read and review.

The novel begins at the exact point that the previous one ended, with Briony and Lauren declaring their feelings for each other in their local pub. Amid much alcohol no one is left in any doubt as to the strength of their feelings, and everyone seems happy for them, especially the landlady Flo and Natalie. Not that they find it easy to find time to spend exclusively with each other. Lauren has been singing on cruise ships and is between engagements, but Briony’s work situation is far more unstable. After a torrid relationship with her American boss’ son Mani, at the end of which he made an inappropriate suggestion to both of them, they both view him with suspicion. Briony is unsure how this leaves her in the office, and the two women decide to set up an elaborate but fitting revenge. Meanwhile the after effects of Natalie’s affair is to make her husband Martin eager to reawaken their relationship, with mixed results. He has always been generous in terms of expensive cars and ensuring that she has never had to earn money since their two young children were born. Natalie is now convinced that she now wants more, not necessarily in terms of passion, but her own job, even career. She is keen on staying involved in the fitness industry, but is aware that that is where temptation lies for her, even though she knows that seeing Jason once more may well cause problems. A brief stay at a luxury hotel for all three women allows all sorts of emotions to emerge, and nothing seems to go to plan. When an event rocks the lives of all three women, it seems plain that plans are never easy to stick to in their lives.

This is a very contemporary book which reflects relationships and encounters of various kinds, which the author spends time describing. While on one level it is an entertainment, it also makes some very strong points about serious topics, such as women in the workplace and relationship breakdown. A colourful book in many ways, there is a lot going on in this novel which may challenge expectations.

I read Teri Boas book Two Scoops, Not Three and immediately clicked with the authors writing style and the characters she wrote about. You know that way when you read the first page or two if you’re going to like a book or not??? Well….I loved it and was so excited to receive the second instalment which was just as full of delicious character and a tasty storyline. Add in some sprinkles of secrets involving a haha instructor and we, my friends, have a winner!
The friendship and camaraderie between the girls is so great that you want to join in . I can’t wait to see what comes next x

What colourful books to add to any bookshelf 😍

This book carried on straight from where the first one finished. It was super easy to read even with the break as things were gone over so I was reminded of things I had forgotten about.

I really enjoyed Briony and Lauren's relationship, even if at time I did find it a little cringe 🙈🤣 That's just me. I still could not get on with Natalie at all, sorry, now don't get me wrong, at times I really felt for her (no spoilers here) but she wasn't a character for me.

Loved the story but gosh there was so much packed into it! These girls have such a crazy life 🤣

The writing style is so easy to read and the story is well done but I think some things could have been missed out and more details into others to make it better.
