It's time to pick up a weapon and fight for your right to live.
Moon and Chaney did it again! Moving, riveting, immersive, sometimes it was like a merry-go round, so dizzy with references and shadowy meanings. As always, full of action, thrilling battle scenes, sarcastic humour, fun and witty dialogue, even though Reaper Cain and his AI, X, we’re not in optimal form, they never ceased to surprise how they handled situations with rigour, hidden strength and sometimes, make that most of the times, with suicidal decisions.
I was having a very difficult time reading this instalment. What should have been an entertaining read-not that it wasn’t-I kept seeing images of the present day situation. The tactics employed here reminded me of a monstrous leader, the evilness here is the Evil sitting on his throne, secure. “Terror attack, inciting chaos and disorder to unbalance an enemy. The more collateral damage, the more effective the technique becomes.” I finally could get past the misery and immerse myself fully into the book.
A shadowy operative with a hidden agenda, what tasks he is trying to accomplish and what his final endgame is, are mysteries that slowly unfold during ferocious battles on the ground and across the deadly space void. By the end, what is happening is revealed and as a reader, I was unable to guess what really was transcurring. That is one of the many hallmarks of this terrific SciFi thriller, full of intrigue! From the sophisticated weapons to ingenious uses of technology employed, it’s all impressive.
To think there are only two premises left of The Last Reaper saddens me a lot. I wish it never ends! If I had the time, I’d re-read the whole series. One day I will. Reaper Cain, his LAI, X, Elise.. phenomenal and characters. I can barely contain by impatience to read the next instalment, Fall of The Reaper #14, and I absolutely recommend this fabulous series
The battle for Darkness concludes as the battle of Darkness begins!
Cain is infected by the Darkness, but with his special skin suit and limited artificial intelligence X-37, he seems to be keeping it at bay. He is quarantined to protect the others while a plan of action is decided upon. The planet of Shama Shae holds the answer, so Elise leads a covert mission to try and find it as the search for the Darkness continues. However there is more to the Darkness than meets the eye and the search results in both an antidote and an enemy revealed. An entertaining read that leaves you waiting for the next installment with bated breath.
The Reaper series is fun, lots of action and humour, however this book seems to have lost its edge The whole book focuses on the darkness, what it is and how to beat it and for that the book could have been half as long. The rest is character development and introducing new characters. The former is unnecessary as we know them so well already and the new ones need little development, as they don't hang around long to invest in them
So much detail so much pathetic action so little empathy for Cain his friends and allies Chaney and Moon have been consistent in the volume of detail they put in their but there has also been a steady decline in the progression of the story and the development of the various characters both th protagonists and the antagonists. This book was boring and Cain and his confederates incompetent. I feel the time spent reading tis book was wasted!!!
Very disappointed. Actually I’ve read all the books in this series so far and other books and other series by the Salford is it gonna be in the weakest one so far no there’s two more to go in the series. I’ll probably read those so just wanna see how it all ends Prescott very samey and it’s almost like the bathroom scene out of Dallas. Someone wakes up in a life pod, we can start everything all over again. And lava monsters, honestly

In this book we have the old reaper back and then some. It seems he has been infected with a powerful force and his own has its hands full fighting against it . There are a couple of good land and space battles that you just can't stop reading when you get to them. The book was action packed and fit the series very well like I never started a new book. Great storyline.
I’m looking forward to seeing how this terrific series will end. Will Cain, the Last Reaper, go out in a blaze of glory or lead the team to find some peace in the universe as he reestablishes his life on Maglan? I am looking forward to reading Book14!
Halal Cain, the Reaper with his close friends, new friends elite fighters who at one time were enemies are in a fight for for survival that threatens their very existence and all of the known alien worlds. Another excellent read in this series!!!
Once again the Reaper lives to fight another day always full of blood and guts as it should be lol. Really looking forward to the Fall of the Reaper and hopefully that doesn't mean his death. Well worth 5 stars
