Remi Mayhem is hard, and loving him has never been easy. To his ex-wife’s credit, she tried to break through the concrete cage surrounding his heart for ten years before he was sent to prison. After having her by his side for seven years, Remi divorced her when he became a free man… and Genesis has been making his life a living hell ever since.
Black Hampton has spent her entire life obsessing over her father. He’s always been a figment of her imagination. With no idea who he was, Black idolized him and made him a being bigger than life. It isn’t until he dies that she learns how selfish and cruel her father was. Aside from being named after him, the only other thing Colton Black gave his daughter was more siblings for the only child to get to know. But she learns quickly… the Black bond is not as easy as she thought it would be to infiltrate.
Both in need of a safe haven, Remi and Black find themselves being drawn to one another like magnets. Genesis, however, refuses to let her ex-husband find peace, love, or anything else with a woman that isn’t her. She makes it her sole mission to destroy Remi’s life just like he destroyed her heart—making Black a target in the process. Will Black be able to make it out alive, or will she join her father in the afterlife quicker than she expected?

I straight up did not like this storyline. I did notice like how baby Black was set up to be the villain. Remi was all over the place and mess as all get out. Open marriage my butt!! And Genesis was no better.... Yeah they deserve each other but not at the cost of old girl being killed by her. I did not like she had to die. The guys were threatening to kill her mom and her!!
I am so distraught over what happened to Black that I could barely finish this book! It’s not my work so it’s easy to say how I would’ve written it! I just think it was unnecessary what happened to her! Oh and I have zero love for Remi!😤
I love this book because i LOVE💕 the Black Mayhem Mafia family and Remi was no different. I hated it because I fell in love with the idea of Remi and Black. I wanted her to be able to redeem her self😢. I was crushed. I didn't like the toxicity with Remi and Gen but I couldn't imagine holding someone down for them the handle her like Remi did,😡❗ Their love and chemistry was 🔥💦💥❗ It was great to catch up with the rest of the family. Glad to see they still growing. That ending was definitely a cliff hanger that has me wondering what's coming next..❓Great job🙌👌👏
I don’t leave reviews but this one here.. The beginning was good, the middle was ok, didn’t get to the end.. Just couldn’t finish it. It’s the toxicity for me. I don’t think Remi and Genesis should have gotten back together, especially after the urine “shot”. Why would you want to be with someone after they have done all these horrible things to you and to every female you were involved with? Black coming into BMM lives just to be taken away? I hope the next book is way better.
Wanted to love Remi’s story but…..the last 1/4 dropped off for me. The story that built up dropped away too fast; there wasn’t enough. I don’t like Genesis or maybe it was because she’s always been represented as a bitter, unstable ex and now she’s a sympathetic character? I don’t buy it. Needless to say, this was not my favorite of the series. 3.8
When we got a glimpse of Remi and Genesis relationship in Rock book I was excited. This is my least favorite book in the series. The author switch up on her own characters half way through the book. Black doing what she did ok whatever but how she wrote Genesis being the one to take her out blew me. Once they get back together I couldn’t finish the book..
Black wanted to play a dirty game and got the filthy ending! I was looking forward to a story with Remi and her but honestly I’m happy they got rid of her grimy tail! She should have been honest from the jump.

A good story but I was conflicted throughout. I was upset at Black being a snake and got so tired of Remi's back and forth. I honestly kinda wanted Genesis to tell him to kick rocks when he came back to her.

I knew there was a black snake in the middle of the Mafia mix. I could feel it slithering around. I liked the story; I wouldn't say I liked Remi. Genesis needed an Exodus from Remi. The backstory with The Blacks and the new lady Black had me looking sideways. How did Remi think he could trust the new girl over his wife and the seventeen years? Huh? Although Remi constantly stated he loved Genesis, I saw lies detected. I wish the author would give Genesis a Real Man. Not this Raggedy Remi... That man did not love genuinely the way Genesis loved him. I laughed ha ha ha ha ha ha when Black got him good. And once again, Genesis saved his sorry butt. Overall, I gave this one 4.85 stars. And another thing, try to overlook Raggedy Remi... 🤭
Man…B. Love is the really in her bag with this series. Remi and Genesis story was just as captivating. These two can’t leave each other alone, even with a divorce decree. Remi wanted time to be in the streets after being away for 7 years, Genesis just wanted her husband home. Genesis decides to become a menace to Remi and any woman who he entertains. Enter Black Hampton, who doesn’t back down from Genesis. There is a lot moving parts to this story that B. love handles so well. This book will have you clutching your pearls from the sex appeal from Remi and yelling out in shock ! Read this!
Black may have been a sister of the Black's but she differently wasn't ready to deal with them. I love the story of Remi. Genesis was crazy as all get out but her love for Remi was undeniable. It took Black to make Remi realize that he was still in love with Genesis. Poor Tyler, he just keeps getting busted up.
Your hero is a selfish whore with a kind heart. The betrayal twist from Black was so unnecessary. How is Genesis going to kill her and then be fighting her mama during Black's funeral? He would not have gone back to her if Black was still alive. Moreover Genesis should have known her worth; was acting a fool, aborted her baby all to go back to him once she started her true healing. GTFOH :( Just absolute craziness but I'm going to continue the series, though. Lol
Lemme start by saying I want the A app to grow up and add half stars because I honestly would have given this piece 4 1/2 stars if I were able. With that being said, I was truly interested in seeing how things would work out for this Mayhem family member since his dynamic with his ex-wife seemed to be a humor point a few times throughout the series. And no cap, I thought that Remi and Genesis were bomb...even in their toxic stage (IYKYK). Introducing Black in the role that she played felt a little off to me. The chemistry between Black and Remi felt forced, while Remi and Genesis's scenes together kept me more engaged. I rooted for those two the entire time. They were written in the stars, and it would have been nice to read about those two without Black as a distraction if you will. BUT I know that B. Love has something up her sleeve in the next piece and I look forward to it. Def a read that's worth taking time out to dive into. Can't wait for the next installment.
I didn't like this one as well as the others, it seemed forced. I don't know, it seemed as if Remi and Genesis' was just bad and the way they involved others was unnecessary, What was the purpose of creating Black's character if her role ended up being a lost cause? What about the recordings? It seems like the organization that was the framework at the start was a facade.
This book did not cut it for me. Genesis was stupid if you ask me (imo). And Remi was definitely not how I thought he would be. My rating was really difficult but I'm giving 3.5.
Remi was on my last nerve. I'm hella side eyeing these Mayhem brothers, because no. Remi knew his one was Genesis, but he insisted on doing her wrong after she held him down for 7 years, not to mention them being married for 17 years. This man for real had life messed up. He wanted to drag her along and give her hope while he soiled his married a#$ royal oats. Then to add insult to injury this man then decides love isn't enough and pursues another woman heavily knowing he was still in love with Genesis. Make it make sense.
Genesis deserved better. The mixed signals he kept throwing her should have been enough for her to choose herself. Yeah they struggled with communication, they married young, but so what. You don't get to step in and out of someone's life at your convenience. Clearly that situation with Black was his karma, his wake up call of sorts. Genesis should've thrown him the dueces though because he had her looking a whole fool.
Clearly I'm deeply invested in the Black Mayhem saga, I look forward to the next one. Hoping for some deep love.
The saga continues with the Blacks and Mayhem's. But it seemed as though everyone was getting soft letting their guards down once baby sis Black came on the scene. Gotta give it to her though, although the real deal as far as DNA she was definitely convincing in her approach to getting that trust. Too bad things didn't work out in her favor. What really got under my skin was the back and forth between Remi and Genesis. Talk about toxic. The way Remi handled his situation with Genesis wasn't right, and I understand her reason behind her actions but how long are you going to make yourself look stupid before deciding to choose you first and walk away. I am glad that they both came to a resolution regading their actions and have decided to try again. Can't wait for what's next.
Here we go again 🤷🏾♀️😬‼️…It’s still stormin’ at Gangster central in Memphis,TN‼️…continued vengeance & retribution brewing for the BMM family 😮💨🌪️…‼️”Indiscretion: Finessing A Black Mafia Gangster (Black Mayhem Mafia Saga - Book 8” started slow 🐌 but accelerated rapidly. …Consequently, Genesis & Rami 🥰 (peculiar, but 🐝🍯)are the perfect complement for each other🤦🏾♀️🤪‼️Thus far this book and the series in general have been passionate (to a fault), entertaining & exciting to witness the many facets of the BMM empire/its’ attempted demise (and the elusive still unnamed affiliate families 🤨⁉️). Nevertheless, it’s never a dull BMM moment whether black-eyed or green envy, family or foe, ride or die trying. ….the BMM saga continues🍿🫣
You know what, I was really rooting for Baby Black. She just had to go and mess it all up. My baby, Assad, just snapped. Now, it's about to cost them. B. Love, you better get my baby out of this. Hassan has been a saint, lol. He has bragging rights now. I'm so happy for Remi, though. After the saga ends, I really want to see where that goes. Maybe a sequel, to tell their story from the beginning, since they've been together the longest? You know, and have the mafia all in it, making apperances. I'm just saying. You have written this saga like you never wrote it before. Now, I'm about head on over to this group for the spoilers alert. Great read as always.
The first 75% of this book was fantastic. It was a whole Empire episode and I was eating it up. But then we had 15% of sex and healing. Usually that's enjoyable but I'm not a fan of the FMC so I really didn't care and honestly it was just filler shit and nothing special to me. But then we got to the Epilogue and the scream that I scrempt!!!! On to the next ya'll!
** Side note I started this series Monday at 1 pm and I just finished the 8th book on Wednesday at 8:25 pm. That's how fast I'm devouring this series. I had to switch formats from audio to digital which has slowed me down but I'm still going!!
Girl I'm hooked to this saga not giving the plot and story away I'm saddened about Blacks character I know she was going to be a rat but I thought there would've been a way out with both her and Remi. I wished there was more twist to her and black family I'm sorry for another betrayal damn they're so loving and deadly at the same time. Well although I'm disappointed with the turn out I look forward to saga nine shit about to go left I can't wait thanks B Love for keeping me on my toes.
WOW! Once again we have a crazy woman refusing to let go of her running husband or is she???? I loved the way this story went alllll over the place. It’s crazy how the author was able to make crazy make sense! I’m always on the crazy wife’s side regardless of the level of crazy written in these stories LOL! The new love interest coming into this story had her hands full. Only thing I didn’t like was the twist in the story. SO messed up! This is a MUST read y’all!
I’ll be the first one to admit I expected Remi to end up with the obvious choice. However, the more I read, I realized that his connection with Black just didn’t sit right with me—despite everything Genesis pulled. Something about her (Black) was just off…and now I know what. Oh well. He and Genesis just needed space and clear heads to communicate. I’m glad they were able to overcome their issues.
Another page turner with some unexpected twists and turns It was great seeing the crew again, but Genesis and Remi love for each other came through even when they were not together Everything was not as it seemed in this story and it was an exciting read Another great job B. Love You are putting your all in this series and it shows Can't wait to read Ramsey's story. I feel it is going to be epic
Child a person will be your worst enemy without even knowing you! This book was definitely crazy. I was not expecting the drama. Genesis was something else but she had her reasons. Remi went through his moments but he was over all a sweetheart. He looked out for those whom he felt were loyal. The way things ended left me shocked yet ready to continue reading about these characters. May can’t get here quick enough!!
Remi is bae!! He was sooooo conflicted about his feelings and love for his first/only love! His and Genesis’ relationship was toxic AF, strangely that’s how they showed their love for one another! Insert Black Hampton, the only woman that came close to Genesis! The plot twist was definitely unpredictable! I enjoyed this book from the 1st to the last page! I have to admit I was definitely team BLACK 😢
Baby Black was a huge disappointment! To be able to to get get Remind attention off Genesis and focused on another women was completely impossible and she accomplished it, just to betray him. She not only betrayed Remi, but her siblings as well. Everyone knows you don't cross the Blacks and Mayhem's. Remi and Genesis were toxic, but good for one another. Their love was stronger than their faults. Great read, B!
So they all done fell in love and got comfortable and sloppy? Black should not have ever been able to get that close! I was so mad at them. How y'all this trusting after everything that's happened?
I get how Gen felt Remi played in her face and used the "but I was honest so I wouldn't hurt you" cover. She deserved better even with it being obvious that he loved her it wasn't healthy bc he loved himself more.
Is Black really dead? Did Gen really kill her? It all happened sooooo fast ! Remember Eric, they gave him a chance to say his last words and asked him why. Remember Colt they also, gave him a chance for last words ! So why not baby Blavk ? Hmmmmmm, something may be up with that ! B. may have a surprise for us in #9. Already I hope so ! 🤣🤣. Remi trifling self is back with Cray, Cray Ex-wife. So maybe Black will find her one in #9 ! 😎
