Myc has been writing professionally since 2005, solo and with Shayne Carmichael. Genres include pretty much anything (no steampunk yet), though Myc is well known for paranormal stories. When not writing, Myc is usually playing PC games, reading, editing, watching movies and shows on Netflix and Amazon, or spending way too much time on Facebook.
“Nevermore” by Addison Albright is a sweetly romantic story about finding the courage to be true to oneself. Ted puts on his Raven persona when he goes to the club, shedding all the cares of his real life. When Raven reunites with his regular partner Caesar, the sex is highly erotic but they are stuck at the casual hookup stage. Although they obviously have developed strong feelings for one another, Ted maintains a tight hold on his anonymity and refuses to open up to Caesar. When the men unexpectedly meet at the beach, Caesar sets out to prove that he is more than willing to trade Raven for Ted. I greatly enjoyed the contrast between Ted and Raven, and the power and freedom Ted is able to adopt in this role. Albright is brilliant at crafting short, lighthearted stories and this is an excellent example not to be missed!
“Chasing Sand” by Ava Matthews finds Adam vacationing with his brother’s family and desperate to escape the ruckus created by his nephews. When he meets Matt in the parking lot of the beach condo the sparks begin to fly almost immediately. This is a sensual story that follows two men with an instant attraction they can’t deny. Despite unclear signals and nervous hesitancy, the two discover they are most definitely on the same page. This sexy story is filled with humor and delightfully witty banter that makes it a very enjoyable read!
“Surf’s Up” by Zoe Nichols follows Shane who is lamenting his inability to surf due to a broken kneecap, his consolation prize from a competition. When Lucas rescues him after his knee deserts him, Shane decides the boy deserves a reward. What transpires is a highly erotic sexual escapade, as Shane teaches Lucas a lesson about respecting your elders. Lucas taunts and teases Shane, knowing that any punishment he receives is exactly what he wants from the older man. This is a wild ride from start to finish, making for an intensely hot and steamy story!
