The reason I knocked a star off is that it could be written better. More anecdotal storytelling would help the reader better connect and conceptualize the concepts. And it’s a little funny, given that storytelling is a major aspect of effective marketing! The story of the marketing rock was never fully told, and that’s a huge miss with your audience (the readers) in the beginning of the book. The reader would benefit from knowing who Wayne is and why we should trust him, and the marketing rock story could be the foundation for that.
He also uses the term “guru” which makes me cringe in the marketing world. It’s culturally insensitive and we can do better as marketing professionals. Let’s do better!!

I personally loved his presenting facts where he cleared the misconception of 'marketing' and 'advertisement' being the same things.
