Tanya is a full-figured sensual beauty with a secret that has her hiding from a crazy person who wants to claim her. She’s afraid to trust anyone until she finds the man of her dreams nearly naked, invading her safe zone.
Mike is shocked to find a sexy gun-toting goddess when he steps out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel and a smile, but he refuses to evict her from his sanctuary when it is obvious that she believes she is in danger from something or someone.
Mike is determined to find out who is after his sexy new house guest. Feeling safe with Mike, Tanya lets her guard down and finds herself developing feelings for a man who has been a fixture of her imagination for most of her adult life.
Kimberly Smith was born in Aurora, Colorado, and raised in Dallas, Texas. Nothing about her life has ever been simple or easy. She was raised by a single parent who was visually impaired. Kimberly always had an active imagination.
Although, I am not sure why Anthony Watson liked to be called Mike. It worked for him and in Tanya Carlisle he met more than his match. After one night of passion, mixed in with a lot of mixed signals, miscommunication and misunderstanding happy ending is what they deserve.
An over 40 book with a boss of a heroine who is able to take care of herself and the silver fox who loves her.
Mike and Tanya were fire together. Tanya was a strong but introverted woman who was ready to defend herself when she first met Mike. Their banter back and forth tickled me. When Mike found out what was happening with Tanya, he protected her and made sure he gave her skills in addition to what she already knew to protect herself. That knowledge saved his "Quick Draw"
Mike was a different kind of guy. He took responsibility for his adoptive son and mother when he did not have to. He always wanted a family of his own but his job and frequent travel kept him from his desire. When he fell in love he fell hard and always moved too fast in a relationship but with Tanya, he felt that she was "THE" one and vowed to himself to make it work.
Tanya, on the other hand, was used to being alone and writing her romance erotica. She really didn't believe in love because her past relationships only dealt with men who were one and done and gone. But with Mike, she felt something different but was too afraid to admit it to herself. Everyone else saw it but her. She'd been writing her books based on a picture of him she saw in a celebrity magazine long ago. When she realized that Mike just didn't go into protective mode or travel all the way to Russia to eliminate the problem for any other reason except that he loved her. That was it for her, besides she missed him terribly and missed the overwhelming calmness and safety she felt when sleeping in his arms.
...the editing leaves a lot to be desired. Punctuation and other errors are plentiful, and if I read one more book where the author doesn't know when to use lie vs lay or sit vs set, I will scream.
Mike and Tanya dance around their attraction from the start. She's supposed to be laying low from a stalker, not getting chatted up by a sexy stranger. I love how he took charge of protecting her, teaching her to defend herself.
Adding in their families makes the story that much better to me. Ms. Ella (great backstory on how Mike met her) turns a blind eye and deaf ear to their activities. Tanya's family wants to know his intentions, taking time to get to know him and Ella a bit. The book left me with a few unanswered questions with its abrupt end. Maybe they'll be answered in the next one. Methinks the Brothers Watson are gonna have their hands full with the ladies in this family.
This was an ok read. The better parts were towards the end. I don't know why, but the beginning chapters were hard for me to get through. I even stopped reading for a week or two and then forced myself to finish but it got better towards the middle and end. I liked Ella and even Tanya's mom. Tanya was alright but I think I just didn't click with her character early on. I think Tanya was just not as warm and friendly ( I know she had a stalker, but still) . Mike was good and I did like him. Mike was the opposite of Tanya because he was looking for love and took more risks. Overall it wasn't a bad read but not one I would read again. I am interested in Betty and Billy' story. For some reason I liked Betty better than Tanya and I haven't even read her story yet. But I'm gonna give it a try.
This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. Tanya and Mike were a good together. Tanya were erotic novels but thought that the only other person in her life, her cousin Carla, knew. Mike owner of a personal security company, came home from work and got the surprise of a lifetime. I enjoyed the story, the secondary characters, and the chemistry/hit relations between the H/h.
Ok, I read IR books, but most of the time I find that they insult my intelligence so to spare the author's feelings, I don't review them. But Hunty, this wasn't your typical IR book, this was a damn good book peridot!! Very well written, lovable characters, with a dash of action thrown in. My type of book!! Can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series. Highly recommended!!
Unusual story. The family dynamic was different. Not sure why the Russian, a known sex trafficker was obsessed with a womAn in her 40s. I liked the romance between Mike and Tanya and enjoyed meeting Mike's brothers and Tanya's mother, Sister and cousins. !looking forward to Betty's and Billy's story. Did not understand why El and Shark had to die though.
Tempting Tanya by Kimberly Smith is a fantastic story. The H/h are Mike and Tanya, who will have you rooting for them. There are also some wonderful secondary characters. This storyline is on point, it's full of intrique, humor, mystery, action and sexy times!! I really enjoyed Book 1 of Silver Foxes Series. Check it out!! 😍❤
This was a page turner L couldn't put it down till l got to the end Read it in one day Lots of action, family love, suspense and a few surprises Mike and Tanya were great together and deserved their unexpected love for each other Mike was the great protector and lover that Tanya need and fantasized about Great story and exciting read
Facebook is not what I was expecting it was even better than expected I love the story I love the characters there’s just so much that sucks you win and keeps you going it has a little bit of action lots of drama and of course absolutely enough romance to make you love this book
I first want to thank Kimberly Smith for writing about mature love male and female. The suspense was good. Not knowing why she was was being stalked was great. I liked the family of Mike, Ella and her son. The challenge that Ella gave Mike gave him purpose. I think I'm going to love this series!!
I was captured in the first chapter! I loved how the characters were interacting with each other and how the two families had connected with more than one member of each family. Drama was seemingly secondary until towards the final two chapters. This was a wonderfully written book that I enjoyed.
So glad to have found this author. I love how this over 40 mature romance depicts independent characters who are faced with the challenge of attraction and the powerful emotions that have them rethinking their single and settled status. Love their chemistry and the suspense which all blended very well. Looking forward to reading the next one in this attention grabbing series.
I remember my senior year of college in the 90s how intrigued I was by the Whitney Houston Kevin Costner film. This. Is. Ten. Times. Hotter. Intrigue and swoony appeal collide in this satisfying story.
This is the second from this author and the Watson's brothers. It kept you on your toes. It is as good as first book. I intend to read all of the books regarding the Watson's brothers.
This was a really sweet story. I loved the chemistry between Mike and Tanya. I loved Ella, the family dinner and I love the no BS meter this story had. They are adults and acted as so.
Reading a book with characters over 40 for a change was great! This is a really good book with a great plot. Loved the chemistry between the Tanya and Mike can't wait to see what Betty and Billy brings to the pages.
I really enjoyed this book! It was very hard for me to put down, especially towards the end. I am now a fan of this writer and can't wait to read the other books in the series.
I stumbled upon this book looking for books for a more mature wOman then here it is. If you looking for a thriller with romance and love you will enjoy this book.
The Watson family is definitely on my list of favorite alpha males. Although this is an over 50 series, some of the situations made me feel like I was reading about a much younger couple. But, I completely loved it. The 4🌟's are due to some errors, especially with multiple spellings of the same name. 💘💘
I found Tonya to be a very interesting person and her journey to find a great love of a man that she could believe in and trust her life too. Mike came into her life in an unusual way, but as time went on she realized he could help her in her search of who was targeting her and to feel that she had to be on the run to try to get away from someone who was tracking her every move. Tanya wanted to be safe.
