Dharmatma Dubey

Rate this book
Dharmatma Dubey living his retired life explores the complexities of politics and life.

Dharmatma Dubey after having horribly retired from a government job moves back to his home town with family.

Back home he enjoys masala chai with friends at his favourite Raju ki Tapri and gets minimally involved in heated political debates and gossips.

His life is simple yet complexly enmeshed in local and national political landscapes bounded in caste, creed, race, religion, gender, language and culture.

When elections come near with larger than life statements and promises, he closely looks at all the options and biases his very own friends and family carry.

Who would Dharmatma vote for this time?
Would he be left, right or centre?
Who would he support?
What button would he finally push on the EVM?

Or is the EVM already hacked?

Black box warning - Do not read if you get easily offended by mention of caste, race, religion or political views.

Dheeraj Mishra's Dharmatma Dubey is not only a book but it is a satire which perfectly reflects the condition of Indian Politics without getting biased. Book has its unique style. I would like to write several key features here:
1: Well knitted characters.
2: Covered almost each and every region of India and serious issues.
3: A story which connects common people.
4: Reservation is covered in a unique way.
5: Ending is excellent.

I had a good time reading this book.

Phenomenally described the situation of bad politics going around in India, in a very sarcastic way. Things that every Indian family can relate to. Loved this book and the creative mind behind this marvelous book.❤️

Indian politics & yet so snappy ? So appealing. That is the typical case with this new political beauty. A story of a middle class, simple, Hindu brahmin who is struggling to find his peace in his motherland country whose huge diversity is its unity as well as its identity. But then comes the question of freedom & secularism as to what extent one is truly free & secular & equal? And to what dimension one's fundamental rights are truly granted???
'A rollercoaster ride of democratic India' that's what this yellow beauty is. Congratulations Dr. Dheeraj Mishra sir for this exceptional showcase of creativity & a great sense of humor. Had a lot of fun while reading it😎

Political satire at its best. Recommended to those who are not offended by political commentaries and concept of reservation in India.
