Rate this book
"This book is about what the Lord is doing in my life and in your life. In sharing my story, I hope to inspire you with your own dreams. Are you persevering and staying at it, using whatever gifts that the Lord has blessed you with?"
John Harris is a basketball coach, skills trainer, inspirational speaker and mentor whose faith and sport go hand in hand. His life story examines the lessons he's learned both on and off the court. In his memoir, Harris describes how a prodigal son experienced the unconditional love of a Heavenly Father and learned to walk with the Lord. An inspiring and wisdom-filled book for basketball coaches, parents, players and anyone who has a dream.

I’m a little biased because I’ve known John for years and consider him a friend. Playmaker is an authentic journey into a young man’s life that can encourage and empower any age reader. But I do believe this easy-to-read book can significantly impact the younger generation, especially young men. I wish John all the success in the world!

This book is more than just about basketball. It's more than simply a memoir of a young man learning the hard facts of life and a tested faith. This is an inspiring and honest testimony that makes you want to reach for the stars yourself. Timeless wisdom and Scriptures. Recommended for all ages, especially middle, high school and college-aged students. A must for basketball families, players and coaches.
