Because it is a short version for english learners, it is written quite pragmatic and straightforward. As if I was reading a movie script. But because I remember the movie well, it felt like I was watching it again. It was a very pleasant experience

I accidentally borrowed the edited version of The Godfather for English learners. Even though it was abridged, it still captured the most interesting parts of the story. I’m not sure if I’ll read the original version. The story itself is compelling, but I worry I might be put off by the patriarchal world the mafia is built upon—especially since it’s set in 1945.

I accidentally got this not reading the small print carefully! As an abridged simplified version, it misses out a lot of detail from the original. But it does cover the big bits, and has made me want to read the proper one one day , come on borrowbox!!
