If you knew the future, would you change it?

Kember Danville is a greedy, selfish Princess-to-be who has everything she could ever want, and yet the shifter-Fae Danville heir believes she deserves more. When her demands aren’t met, Kember decides to run away to force Pierre’s hand into giving her what she desires. Before she can follow-through with her plan, she’s approached by a mysterious woman who has a plan to help Kember find her place as Danville clan’s future leader.

With the visitation of three apparitions, Kember’s world is turned upside down as she realizes what she will lose if she remains on her current path. But her change may come too late and the future of the Fae may be lost if Kember can’t start setting things right.

With the help of the apparitions and her Destiny, Coen, can Kember humble her heart and save the future of the Fae race before lives are lost?

I’m so underwhelmed. The story has such great potential but it was entirely too short. The world building could have been better, so many characters were introduced that there was no point to most of them, and the attraction between the two main characters could have been explored better. (We knew where they were and where they needed to get, but it’s left as an afterthought quickly and blandly fixed at the very end.)
Keeping in mind that this was supposed to be a Christmas Carol fae retelling, it did follow the format of the past, present, and future apparitions and does help develop the main character, Kember, who is such an obnoxious brat at first into a more mature character that realizes she isn’t dealing with her fears and stress in the right way. But it was when Melanie Gilbert broke away and did her thing that I just wanted so much more.
There were only a few inconsistencies that annoyed me a bit because they’d give me pause but I really think it’s because this was so unbelievably short. Things seemed to have been omitted leaving me thinking, “what the hell?”
Now, this is the first of her books that I’ve read, I don’t know if this is common or if usually the author is able to have her books be longer, therefore telling her stories properly, as she intended. I’m really hoping that’s what it is because I do see the great potential in this story. I did enjoy it, but I was really left wanting so much more out of it.
I’ll be reading more of her books to see and hopefully I’ll get more satisfaction out of other ones. 😊

I loved this Christmas Carol retelling with a fae twist. It keeps true to the original story and feel but adds a dash of fae, magic and a brat. Oh man is she a brat 🤣🤣.

While providing a familiar feel it gives you all the fae (and hot guy goodness) that the Fae Brothers Ever after series brought.

It was wonderful to see some old characters as well as meeting new ones.

Be prepared for ALL the feels 😭💔🤬🥰❤

I say this is my second favorite read in the Fae Brothers series!!

The characters were awesome!! I loved reading about Coen and Kember!! I wasn't much of a fan of Kember at the beginning but the more I read the more I began to have a change of heart.

The storyline was incredible!! It's a twist on an old classic and I loved how the author brought this story to life!! I enjoyed every minute of it once I started it but that ending has me puzzled and wanting to know what else is getting ready to happen!! But I highly recommend this read!!
