Christmas for the Kristoff’s hasn’t been the same since tragedy struck on Christmas Eve 2019.
Since then, Gabriel Kristoff has shut everyone out and buried himself in work to avoid dealing with the pain. However, his family won’t allow him to spend another holiday season down in the dumps. For the sake of his beautiful daughter, Wynnter, Gabriel vows to put his troubles aside and give her the Christmas she deserves. However, the pain in his heart makes it nearly impossible.
No’Elle has been the Kristoff’s nanny since the passing of Gabriel’s wife Sno. Over time, she’s secretly developed feelings for Gabriel and Wynnter. When she gets an unexpected visit from Sno, No’Elle knows it’s time to let her feelings for them be known but is scared of the outcome!
Sno hopes her push from the after life helps heal Gabriel and allows him to find love and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas!
This book was good and it really caught me by surprise. I love the ex wife coming back thing cause it was different from any other Christmas book I experienced. No’elle was a sweetheart and a total mama bear when it came to the baby. I loved this book!
This was a different type of story, and I loved it. I wish we could have gotten more of the new relationship, but I loved how things turned out. There were some funny moments, and heartfelt moments. It's a quick, and enjoyable read.
Aww this was a sweet Christmas read! A story about love, loss, grief, and being open to love again. Christmas day held somber memories for the Kristoff family. So much that Gabriel refused to celebrate or acknowledge the holiday. However, A special angel helps him realize its time to move forward for himself and his babygirl. Finally gaining closure Gabriel is ready to take a chance on love again this Christmas 💚 ❤
Second book from the author and I love her writing style. I feel in love with this story. Happy that Gabriel, Wynnter, & No’Elle got their happy ending.
Gabriel suffered a major loss during the holiday season and since then, he resented it. Two years later, he is faced with the reality that he had been sulking for too long. With his family and nanny telling him to do better by himself and his daughter, he started to get himself back on track with his day to day life. When his Christmas angel steps in, Gabriel begins to allow himself to love again.
There’s a lot of Christmas vibes in this novella and I really appreciate it. It was cute, family centered, and held a deep meaning. This was also so funny to me (🍃😉) the grandmother is hilarious!
What a sweet, and heartfelt story. Gabriel was going through it, dealing with his loss of his wife, and his grief had taken over his life! Friends and family tried to step in to help, but he was not having it. The grief had him so angry, and poor Wynnter was taking the brunt of it! 💔
Sno, the Christmas angel, comes to visit and help him get his ish together! She comes in like a whirlwind and helps him see how he went wrong and guides him to happiness again.
No’Elle, the nanny, has been fighting her feelings for Gabriel from the moment she walked into his home. So, when he begins to take interest in her as well, she is terrified. What does he want with me? Can I ever live up to Sno?
This quick journey of love, loss, and second chances gave me all the feels. Hope to visit this family in the future, as I would love to see how things progress. Great read!
I absolutely loved this story and I wish it was a full novel!
Gabriel lost the love of his life on Christmas Eve and is left with daughter Wynnter to pick up the pieces. He struggles with losing Sno and puts off his parental duties on the new nanny, No’Elle. With the help of his family and his own Christmas angel, Gabriel considers turning over a new leaf and getting his act together.
I really like how Kyeate will resurrect her characters with the intention of providing closure and a safe space for healing. I enjoy seeing the characters transform and blossom as a result.
This was such a beautiful Christmas novella. It had such a unique storyline; I had read nothing like this before. Yes, it’s short, but it is filled with Christmas goodness.
Sno (what a beautiful name) passed away on Christmas day when she was on her way to surprise her family. Two years later, Gabriel is grieving the love of his life and therefore resents the Christmas season since it brings him so much pain. He hired a nanny, No’Elle, and has barely been in his daughter, Wynnter’s life, ever since. However, after an intervention by his family, No’Elle and a Christmas Angel, Gabriel decides to step up not only for his daughter but also himself as well as allow himself to fall in love again.
There isn’t one way to grieve and I am happy that Gabriel was allowed to grieve the loss of his wife as well as how he tried his best to work through his grief and be present for Wynnter after being told where he is falling short.
I liked No’Elle’s character as well, even though she kept running away as if she was a track star in high school or in her past life or something. But maybe her running away was to teach Gabriel some patience, like Sno said. She really cared about Wynnter and wanted what was best for her. I’m happy she was there for Wynnter.
Sno was a great character, and I enjoyed how so would put Gabriel in his place. She and his grandmother, as well as his cousins, had me cracking up throughout this book!
Overall really enjoyed this. It was funny, family orientated and dealt with grief beautifully.
Side note: I love the names in this book! The creativity *chef’s kiss*.
Side note pt.2: While I was reading this, Angel of Mine by Monica came on. I thought that was funny lol.
🎶 Christmas just ain’t Christmas without the one you love🎶 Sadly this was the case for Gabriel after a tragic plane crash claimed his wife days before Christmas. The grief was real and he found himself swallowed by grief. Going through the motions with no rhyme or reason, Gabriel’s family and friends were worried that he was on the brink of death by way of a broken heart. 💔 He’d hired a nanny to essentially take over the care of his 10 year old daughter and completely shut down.
Seeing her husband rapid decline, Sno cashed in her ticket with the big boss to temporarily visit her husband and restore the joys of the holiday back into their home. While Sno did her thing, the nanny No’Elle also devised a plan of her own to bring the magic of Christmas back to the Kristoff home.
This is probably my favorite read thus far by Kyeate. This was a holiday read I can get behind. It was filled with all things holiday from family, love and what truly matters most. All the warm and fuzzies were felt during this read and I enjoyed how the story came together. 🎅🏿🎄🎁
3.999/5⭐️ - I seen this on my girl @shadesnpages page so I knew it was gonna be good.... it was😂😂. It had three povs plus a Christmas angel and I tour it up. Short but jammed pack yall!
- So it's about Sno she passed on Christmas day years ago leaving behind her husband and daughter. Fast forward Gabriel is trying to pick up the pieces of his life with his daughter Wynnter and full time nanny Noelle. Noelle was really annoying me fr I couldn't get down with her. She was a great nanny though she really was Wynnters mom she did everything for that little girl. I did however enjoy Gabriel their is no specific way to handle grief and I loved how hard he worked to dig himself out of that whole.
- Now like I said Noelle was annoying. Her pov would say she liked Gabe and would think about being with him but then run in the other direction when he agreed like literally run! I was so annoyed lol and even in the beginning she was dragging that breakup and her whole excuse was CORNY! Im like girl how he gonna get to know you and everything that comes with if you keep running?!! Then when Sno the (deceased wife) literally sat in your room and told you its ok to give it a try you still acting dumb. Anyway I enjoyed everything else, Sno was the perfect angel and I really enjoyed her character in this book! The grandma was too funny it was no reason for her to be cutting up like that in this book!😭
Gabriel suffered a major loss two ago during during the holiday season and since then, he resents it. He distances himself from his family, his social life and his daughter. As much as his grandmother and his nanny Noelle is trying to get him to open up, Gabriel isn’t budging . In order to avoid spoilers, I’m going to say that he receives the help he needs in the form of a Sno Angel. This is definitely not your average Christmas story, but I’ve learn to expect the unexpected when reading a Kyeate book. Her ability to weave paranormal elements inside her stories is amazing. This is the second time she’s blown me way with her creative mind. I love every second of it. I did struggle with the romantic element of this story. The couple really didn’t make me believe in their attraction and I was left wanting a little more backstory on them. Nonetheless , I still enjoyed this story. If you’re looking for a second chance story about finding the strength to live and love again, read this.
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed this cute Christmas story on Noelle and Gabriel. It could have easily been a full novel, I would have indulged just the same. I loved how the author gave us everyone perspective and thoughts. She didn't leave anyone out, which made the story transition smoothly and coherently.
This is a great read, you will fall in love with Wynnter. She was the smart little girl that just wanted to feel her Daddy's love. And Gran Dolly was the epitome of all big mamas. She gave it to the family with no hesitance and made sure they knew how she feels. You will love her because she will remind you of your grandmother. I say download, relax and indulge.
This was not what I was expecting when I picked up this book, but I’m so glad I read it. We get three different POVs in this book: Gabriel, No’elle, and Sno. After passing away two years ago, Sno is back to intervene in her husband’s life. He’s not the man she knew and loved and he needs a little help getting into the Christmas spirit. I loved the fact that we not only got a love story, but we got the story of a woman helping her husband move on. It felt like The Preacher’s Wife with a twist. It was quick and beautiful, exploring not only love, but grief and having the strength to move forward. Great read!
THIS WAS A CUTE YET EMOTIONAL, AT TIMES HEARTBREAKING, YET HEARTWARMING CHRISTMAS LOVE STORY. GRIEF IS A MOTHER AND IT HITS IN DIFFERENT WAYS. THAT ANGER STAGE IS A BIH AND SOMETIMES DEPENDING ON THE LOSS IT’S HARD TO PULL YOURSELF OUT OF IT.
GABRIEL MOST DEFINITELY CHECKED OUT AFTER LOSING HIS WIFE. SO MUCH SO THAT HE IN A WAY FORGOT ABOUT HIS DAUGHTERS GRIEF AS WELL.
NO’ELLE THOUGHT SHE WAS TALKING ON THE JOB OF BEING A LIVE IN NANNY NOT A FULL TIME PARENT.
GRANNY’S BLACK ANGEL CHRISTMAS TOPPER IS WHAT BROUGHT EVERYTHING FULL CIRCLE. HEALING, FORGIVENESS, LOVE AND FAMILY WERE THE CORE OF THIS READ.
This is really good touching book Kyeate is a great author and her imagination is out of this world. In one of her books she mentioned about the love of her life getting killed. I believe he is her strength when she puts these words in the books. It's like you become magical and lost in her writing. Tricky is my favorite when Halloween comes around. Snow just became a favorite Christmas book. This book will bring tears and joy to your eyes as well as her other books.
Gabriel lost the love of his life on Christmas one year and every since than he shut down. Two years later, things had to change. With his family and nanny telling him to do better with himself and his daughter, he started, but still needed that extra push. When his wife stepped in, that was the push he needed. This was a great story dealing with loss and a second chance at love. It was a quick read but it was a great one!!!
This is not at all what I was expecting but I enjoyed this book. I was not feeling Gabriel and I know he was going through it but I’m still side-eyeing him. Sno was funny….Gran Dolly too. I did want a little more time with the new situation but it’s a novella so that’s just a me thing. It handled the emotional subject matter with grace and gave me a happy ending!!!!
Girl your pen game is something real and I love it every book that I have read from you I can't never put down and want to finish from the beginning to the end!!!!!! Sno is my favorite Christmas of the season so far can't wait to see what you will be dropping nxt.
A Christmas love story. This beautiful story tells the story of a widowed father and his quest for processing losing his wife and finding love. No’elle is the best thing that has happened to Gabriel and his daughter. Sno makes an appearance and plays matchmaker. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
Sno came back and got her family together after her tragedy it left them with broken hearts and she and Gran Dolly got it right on together even though it was hard!!
This was such a sweet Christmas story. I loved the extra twist and it definitely fits the authors personality. It really made me smile. This gave all the Christmas magic feels. ❤️
OMG this was soooo good! From the beginning until the end it had my heart. Sno was just everything and I'm happy she was able to work her magic. Great read highly recommended to all readers.
This was such a heartwarming story that truly conveyed the spirit and magic of Christmas. I loved this family and the characters (and their names). This was a sweet, creative story and a perfect feel-good holiday read.
This book was recommended to me and I was not disappointed at all. I love the set up of the book. I was sad in the beginning but I love the way it ended. A lesson was learned from this book for me
This was my first read by author Kyeate, I thought it was a Cute story, but felt as if it was missing something that would give it the Jump to good story. Not bad enough to deter me from reading more of Kyeate's work.
Cute story that embodied the meaning of Christmas magic. I was emotional throughout the entire story but that's a good thing. It definitely got me into the Christmas spirit.
This was a beautiful Christmas love story. Second-chance love is the best. I loved how you gave him peace so he could move on and take care of his daughter better. I appreciate the family and how they spoke up and were honest with him.
oh my goodness this was such a sweet Christmas story I’m so glad Sno could come back and put the pieces to her family back together i can’t wait to see the evolution of Gabriel, No’elle and Wynnter
