Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
I read only the ending because I honestly wanted to see how the author would finish this book and after I saw, my eyes were burning. I understand the idea of reverse harem * not my type of book but anyway...* but the heroine to have 4 boyfriends, and to live happily ever after with them makes me cringe a little because c'mon, it is hard to find one perfect guy, but to find 4... and they all to be ok with sharing ;)) lol, the ending was funny!

The Kings Of Linwood had me addicted from the very first page of book 1 until the very last page of book 3!
I love High school RH stories but what I loved most about the Kings Of Linwood was that all 4 boys had such different personalities, they all bought something different to the table and they all made me fall in love with them separately in their own ways.
The Risk picked up where The Lie left off, with so much intrigue and suspense I didn’t know whether I was coming or going. There were moments where my heart was in my throat because I just couldn’t bear anything bad happening to these characters that I’d grown to love so much.
If you love High school, Reverse Harem, romantic suspense books then this is the series for you! It’s epic and I’m gonna go and cry in a corner now that I can’t go swimming in the deep end with the boys anymore! 😭
This is the last installment in the Kings of Linwood Academy series. It's more appropriate to label them as "Murder/ Mystery". So this one was more suspenseful, with some over the top twists and more steam. Harlow is more likeable in this book, especially compared to the first one in the series. Overall, I think I liked it more than the previous two books.
The last time we did something to take our minds off everything we’re up against, I ended up fucking River in front of all three of the other kings, and the memory of that night turns the slow burn inside me into a torrent of fire. “Yes. Please.” I’m reaching for him even as I say the words, and his lips meet mine in a kiss that curls my toes. Chase kisses with the same sort of energy and gusto that he lives his life with, and it’s easy to get swept up in it, carried away by the feel of his lips and teeth and tongue. When Dax brushes the hair off my shoulder and nips at my neck, I jerk and let out a strangled noise into Chase’s mouth. Dax chuckles. “What? You thought I’d just lie here and watch while you kiss my brother like that?”
When Dax finally grips my thighs and holds them open, I brace myself for the sensations I know are about to sweep me away. And when his tongue darts out and finds my already throbbing clit, brushing hard strokes across it, I rip my mouth away from Chase’s, biting my lower lip to muffle a raw cry. “With me, Low. Stay with me.” Chase shifts on his elbow, using two fingers to turn my face back toward him. His grin beams in the darkness, like a sexy-as-fuck Cheshire cat. “And you can let go of your lip. You don’t have to worry about making noise. Nobody but us can hear you, and I promise you, we like it.”
What, got tired of banging the ugly chicks that show up at Linwood parties?” The guy laughs at his own stupid joke, and I resist the urge to step forward and shove him backward into the pool. We need keep our heads down, not go around starting fights. Lincoln stiffens and clenches his hands, but he keeps his cool too. “Nope. Not interested in any of them.” “Yeah. Sure.” The guy scoffs, but his gaze shifts to me, and his eyes gleam with lecherous interest. Lincoln takes a step toward him as all three of the other boys tighten ranks around me, and the guy stumbles back in surprise. I don’t think he realized I was with one of these guys, let alone all of them, and their reaction has put him totally off balance. He glances from one to the other before finally backing down.
“I’ve had shitty examples of relationships,” Linc continues. His voice is soft. Open. Raw. “I guess you have too, with your dad splitting before you were even born. But I don’t want that. I want ours to be stronger than that.” “Me too.” My heart surges in my chest as my fingers glide up the back of his neck, sliding through the soft strands of his hair. He’s so fucking beautiful, hard edges covering a softness that not everyone gets to see. “Do you think it can be?” I murmur. “Even if it’s shared? Even if it’s between all five of us?” “Hey.” A flicker of anger lights in his eyes, but I know it’s not directed at me. It’s directed outward at the world, a protective sort of anger. “No one gets to tell us what ‘we’ should look like. No one gets to decide that but us.” “I want you, Harlow. I choose you. And watching my best friends fall for you? It makes me fall harder right along with them.” Then he drops his head and kisses me, and the whole world disappears.
Still keeping his firm hold on my legs, Dax leans in and drags his nose along the fabric of my panties. Oh, fuck. He’s smelling me again. And this time, I’m sure he’s not smelling my pomegranate body wash or my citrus shampoo. He’s smelling me. The musky scent of my arousal, the scent of what he’s doing to me. My whole body shudders, and I press my legs together harder, trapping him between them as I grow more and more certain that this will ruin me.
I’ve officially completed the series, the Kings of Linwood Academy! These books were such fun reads and I really enjoyed Callie Rose’s writing.
When the truth of Iris Lepiane’s murder is uncovered, Harlow and the Kings work hard to support each other and expose the murderer.
With Harlow continuing to experience stress with her mother in jail, she works even harder to ensure her mom be released.
But finding out who Iris’ murderer is, isn’t the only shocking thing about the situation. At first, the group anticipated that the murderer killed Iris because of her pregnancy. However, now they find out that that is not the only reason. Once uncovering the real reason for her murder, the boys and Low realize they are in too deep.
The development of Harlow’s relationship with each of the four boys was so cute. Their relationship -although unconventional and absurd to some- really worked out for them. They didn’t care about other people’s opinions of them; they were happy as long as the rest of them were happy.
I think these days, in real life, a lot of people care way too much about other people’s opinions about them. It was refreshing to see that this was not actually the case in this book!
If you have read/liked the Rich Boys of Burberry Prep series, I think you will really enjoy this series too. The books are a little bit shorter, but overall there are some overlapping themes, along with the unique plot.
These books are reverse harem bully books - my absolute favourite! sO if you also enjoy these types of books, definitely check them out! x
I like this book, but I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous installments. Something was missing for me. Maybe it was because there weren’t as many plot twists or the romance had been flushed out, but this book just didn’t do it for me. I skim read the majority of the book because I just wasn’t enjoying it. It was a conclusion to the story, but I felt like it could’ve been much shorter than it was and it felt a little unnecessary. Honestly, the author could’ve just tacked parts of this book onto the end of the last one and I think it would’ve been fine.
I complained about this a little bit in my last review, but I also have a problem with the twins. Their personalities are so interchangeable and there really isn’t any key differences between them. I was hoping that this book would develop them more and maybe I would start to see some differentiating factors between them, but that just didn’t happen. They stayed flat the entire book and I don’t have as much of a connection with them as I do with Lincoln and River.
Overall, I would say this was a solid conclusion, but that’s all it really was. It just wrapped things up and made me happy that this series was over. I’m ready to move on.
Best of the three which is crazy bc they were all incredible.
Best of the three which is crazy bc they were all incredible. This was everything and the intensity was off the charts. I could not stop reading it for anything. Seriously this series had everything in it. Love the hot steamy 4 on 1 action. Incredible writing. Perfect.
After the previous book I really wanted to read the conclusion to this series. Overall the final book was okay. I'm a fan of the boys, not so much of the female main character who is a little too immature and judgemental for my taste. I did like the development of the relationships in this book. The plot showed a lot of potential, but felt a little rushed sometimes. A little bit extra attention to adding more (realistic) details would lift the book to the next level. Overall an enjoyable series, but it misses that extra spark I crave.
this last book of the trilogy dragged a little bit for me. it was still a pretty quick read, but the plot wasn’t as gripping as i felt like it was in the first two books. i also really wanted more from the RH portion of this book, and i just felt like it didn’t really deliver on that aspect for me. regardless, i read this book mostly to figure out how the author would finish the story. the conclusion was a solid meh, but i’m glad i finished the trilogy
“but i don’t want to be like him, low. i choose you. and i’ll keep choosing you.”
Sto annegando.
E soprattutto all’amore che vince su tutto!
I'm just not in the mood for this unfortunately but I did really enjoy the first two. I love the characters and I do want to see how their story ends, so I will most likely be coming back to this in the future.💗
Well that was quite a violent and bloody ending. The characters did indeed take a "risk" and it nearly backfired in a really bad way. I did continue to enjoy the mystery and how everything was finally brought together to solve it. Harlo finally grew on me by the end of the book.
What an ending to a great series!! I have been so hooked on this series from the beginning and to finally see the ending was both bittersweet and awesome!!
Here in the final book The Risk, Harlow and her guys are risking it all to clear her mom, and put the guilty party away. But things are not what they seem. There is more to the bad guy than just wanting to hide something, he had plans. Plans that are dangerous. But Harlow will not back down, which forces the guys to back their girl. But the question here is will it cost them their lives?
Callie did an excellent job of tying up loose ends here. We get to see the dynamic of the group and how well they all work together. Harlow, is such a freaking awesome character. She fights so hard for her mom and the guys, I just love her. The twins, are hot as hell. Linc and his protective nature, I fell for him so hard. River, he is just what every girl wants and needs in her life. Together they are a kick a@@ unit, and to see their story unfold has earned this series my top favorite. You have just the right amount of action, steamy scenes, drama, and suspense. And can I just add that the sex scenes really were freaking hot!!
I have some mixed reactions to this novel. I've loved the first two books in this series and I was excited to see how it all ended. Callie Rose gave us a satisfying conclusion to this series. It continued right where the previous book left off and was intriguing, suspenseful and steamy with some twists and turns you won't expect. However the female lead character annoyed me so much in this story. I loved her characters in the previous two books but she disappointed me in this story. Luckily the male characters more than made up for her short-comings and I loved each of them. I did enjoy the series and I would recommend it to lovers of RH bully romances. The audiobook version was narrated by Amanda Stribling who did a great job portraying these characters. Her pace and timing was great and she was able to give varying voices to the different characters and really brought the story to life. I enjoyed listening to her narrate this novel. What an ending to a great series. These books are addicting and suspenseful. Page after page I became more invested in this story as truths were revealed.
So angsty, twisty and sizzling hot. I couldn't put this book down until I devoured every single word. The characters were amazing and became some of my favorites.
Nothing like a good bully romance, and this one is one of the best. The reverse harem was the icing on the cake.
This has been a great series and Callie Rose certainly ended this series with a bang. Suspense and intrigue, well played out drama and a finale worthy of its cast. I loved all the characters in this series and because they were all so different and brought something different to the table it really worked. For those that love reverse harem, I can highly recommend this series.
This book started right off at the cliffhanger scene from the pervious book and y’all it put me right back into that headspace. This book sucked you in and held you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I loved it and sometimes I hated it but it’s sooo worth the read!
Over all I did enjoy the plot, the twists and the setting of this story. I thoroughly enjoyed this different take on the bully trope, and the murder mystery was a welcome plot twist. I think this would have been a solid 4 star rating, if it wasn't for Harlow. Boy, does that girl rub me in all the wrong ways. She's so judgmental it almost hurts. Liiiike, homegirl can't even walk into a house, without commenting on how "ostentatious it is". Yeah, that gets old pretty quickly!
I also found it annoying that she didn't actually really think highly of the guys, until they'd shown they were there for her many times over. But when was she actually there for them? She wasn't, she put them through the ringer. So yes, her Mary Sue like personality was a real turn off for me.
The ending did feel slightly rushed. This is such a shame because I was so intrigued to see where Callie would take this, but unfortunately it felt like an easy way out to me.
