4 ½ stars. If you looked up the word “minx” in the dictionary I’m sure there would be a picture of Lucy Waltham next to it. Sure, a lot of authors
say
their heroine is a minx, but Tessa Dare
shows
us she is; it’s delightful. Such a charming read, it kept me up most of the night.The Look could mean different things at different times, depending on the recipient and the occasion. It could mean, "Hold your tongue." It could mean, "Lift your skirts." On one particularly memorable occasion, it had mean, "Put down the damned candlestick before you embarrass us both."

What was it about helplessness men found so attractive? She supposed they must enjoy the illusion of superiority. Well, Lucy did not feel the least bit helpless or inferior, and her pride rebelled against the notion of feigning either state.
