After a terrible skiing accident leaves Sadie’s son Wyatt struggling to walk, she puts everything else aside to care for him. She knows she needs to let the experts do their jobs, but mother knows best. And when Wyatt’s new physical therapist takes a tough love approach, she nearly loses it. Pushing the boy past his breaking point isn’t the path to healing, no matter what too-handsome-for-his-own-good Trent seems to think. He might be bigger and stronger, but her son, her rules. If he doesn’t like it, he knows where the door is…

It’s been a rough year, but Gemma Davis is finally falling into a routine with her newborn and coming to grips with the death of her husband. She has to admit, she couldn’t have done either without Patrick Ives. He’s not only been a shoulder for her to lean on, he’s also been a shoulder for baby Cara to spit up on and a confidant for her older son, Liam. But both she and Patrick have taken chances on love in the past, and both of them wound up in a world of hurt for their troubles. Is it too soon to open her heart and home to another man, or is he exactly what the little family needs right now?

Lena Merrill thought she never wanted kids…until now. But she and Owen haven’t been together that long, and her biological clock is ticking. It’s now or never…she needs to go for broke or put this dream to rest for good.

Wow! That is the best review that can be given to a new book. I am completely astonished and in awe that any author can put into words such deep abiding love and feeling along with nerves, fear, angst and despair all while the characters still have you embracing the new day. This book never veered from the foundations built in the previous books in this series, it enhanced everything, making you feel more and deeper. I needed tissues for this one purely because everything was so strongly written. The focus is never solely for one person or couple, it is on the whole family and their partners and connections. I love the way these books make you feel everything, from the sunshine to needing a soak to relieve pain in the muscles. I definitely recommend this book and the series as well as the author!

Like old friends

Every time I open a Cherry Blossom Point book, since the very first of the series, I felt like I was meeting old friends.

This new book is no different, as I got to spend time with the Merrills and their loved ones, and share some moments of their lives, at times happy, at times not so much.

From Wyatt's recovery from his terrible accident (from the previous book), to Sadie trying to resist her son's extremely attractive physical therapist. From Gayle finally having me going "way to go, woman!" to Jo's understandable sadness. From Lena's immense dismay and Owen's amazingness to Gemma's learning to deal with a new baby.

Like visiting old friends, I tell you!

May cannot come fast enough for me to visit them again and get into some unfinished business.

As you immerse yourself into the story, you can't help but cheer for the strong independent women. I found myself fighting back tears when those same women experience vulnerable moments. Sadie and Gemma are amazing moms handling challenging situations with their children. While both are lonely, can they find love? Lena yearns to be a mom; will that role be in her future? Gayle successfully runs Hunters Gathering while juggling a new love and handling a nasty ex-husband. I can't wait to see what happens next for her.

Another great book

Another great book about Cherry Blossom Point characters. The book was very well written. I love that it has several stories at once going on to keep you interested. The book is interesting. I couldn't put it down. I read it pretty quickly. The charachters are developing and growing prefectly. The characters feel like friends so it is easy to feel vested. I definitely recommend.

New Beginning s

Liked this story so much. Christine manages to remind you of the previous characters in this book and also adds new ones. And I love that her characters are real with problems and feelings that are so relatable. I liked that her stories are also positive. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. To me a book is good if I don't want it to end, and I was definitely disappointed when this story wax over!

I love this series! I care about the characters and can relate to their intertwined stories put together in well-written books. Started out reading the Bluebird Bay series and followed the characters to Cherry Blossom Point and am now reading both series as any new book is released. When I get to the end, I'm looking forward to the next book.

4 Stars

4 stars for Starting Over (Cherry Blossom Point Book 5). Great to catch up with the Merrill family again. Nikki is doing well as head chef at Gayle's new restaurant. Lena has it all but suddenly wonders if a child of her own would be the cherry on top. Sadie has been nursing Wyatt after his skiing accident.

Again, Christine Gael! I really love this series! Cherry Blossom Point is a standalone series, but also an offshoot of Bluebird Bay. Like going home again, catching up with all the characters, a few new ones added in for story enrichment, this series bases itself on strong woman, and the family you will come to love.

So relatable!

This series, a branch off from the Bluebird Bay series, is just as good, just as heartwarming, and just as real.

With intertwined storylines and characters that are like personal friends, I couldn't help but fall in love with these books.

Love this series

I've never really been a fan of this genre but I am liking getting acquainted with my new friends in Cherry Blossom Point. Everyone is dealing with every day issues that normal people deal with. It really feels like being part of a friendship.

The family saga continues Sadie struggles with her attraction to Wyatt's PT Trent, Gayle faces a real issue with an unknown person trying to sabotage her restaurant and Lena realizes that her clock is ticking. Christine is brilliant at describing real life feelings. Loving this series
